I would recommend this place for sure especially their PHP program, it was my very first time coming here and to be honest i was very nervous and scared but it was actually a lot more welcoming than i thought and i think theres alot of good people here, and alot of people that help, especially the therapists, ive done 3 full months as a teen and i would say it was definitely a life changing experience and i made so many connections and friends, and i just took so much from this place, and i learned so much about myself as well, 100% recommend PHP and their IOP program.

I enjoyed the virtual IOP treatment more than I thought I would. It worked well with my work schedule and I got to be comfortable at home as well as being comfortable in the group. I was able to connect and exchange information with my peers and expand my recover/Sobriety network!

During my recovery, I have been to many inpatient rehabilitation facilities, and CGR was one of my best experiences. The staff, especially the PESs and facilitators, were excellent and always helped when I needed support. The food was good, with enough for everyone and seconds available upon request. My needs were met, and I would recommend this facility to anyone seeking serious recovery. My therapist was also very helpful, and I truly appreciate everything that was done for me. The only issue I had was some of my food was stolen, but I think things like that are to be expected among people who are in recovery and disparate.

My husband had surgery at the Louisville VA Medical Center, and the care he received before, during, and after surgery was incredible. Dr. Klein, Roberto, and the entire team were supportive, patient, and made sure he was comfortable every step of the way while also keeping me informed. The follow‑up after surgery was excellent as well — any time we called with questions, they were kind and quick to help. The VA physical therapy staff were energetic, encouraging, and made recovery something my husband actually looked forward to. Thanks to their guidance, we are back to enjoying time together for outdoor activities. We’re both incredibly grateful for the care he received and words really are not enough to share our gratitude for every interaction before, during, and after his procedure. Thanks to everyone we encountered!

This place is great. Doctors and all staff. I have been to ER twice and had a 5 day stay. I have had appointments in various apartments. I have been treated by great caring Doctors and Nurses. I have also had community services to get treatment faster then VA could provide,they sent me to a Saint surgeon known as Dr Yakkanti U OF L. The pharmacy has been most helpful. Community Services has been very responsive. When you walk down the hallway at Rex VA. Your brothers and sisters always are kind. Everyone acts like they know and want to help you. I am sorry some are upset about a problem. You deserve your say and fight. I hope you get it resolved. I deserve mine to. THANK YOU REX VA FOR KEEPING ME IN THE FIGHT OF LIFE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Update: 8/25/2026 - still sober!! 🥰 I checked in here (when it was still Landmark Recovery) on 01/07/2018 and have been sober ever since. This is the place where I learned how to start my new journey of recovery, and they helped me to build a solid foundation and gave me the tools to understand my addiction, its triggers, and how to cope with them. Journey Pure has definitely been an essential part of my recovery journey… I was fresh out of a 30 day treatment center and knew I needed to do more to ensure the success of my recovery. I was referred to Journey Pure… the first few months were more intensive, which helped set a foundation for the mental health maintenance I do today. I will have 20yrs, among the homeless, 2026, & I, continue, to be blessed by the discipline, & "No B.S.!" practices. Some, among the homeless, seem to struggle with what The Healing Place helps - anyone, in need, get away from, yet, it's up to an individual to sign-up. On the other hand, I'm struggling to keep what, little income I'm allowed to have, as housing wants a percentage - no matter how small, & I can't afford any housing agreement. The Healing Place give us space to figure things out...in a safe space. Thank you. 🙏🏿☺️ As of 8/3/2026, I'm adding the following, & hope we get the help we need, please. 🚨RIDES NEEDED: SupportOurNeighbors@The Healing Place 🚨 The Healing Place does incredible work accommodating homeless women and providing a safe haven for recovery. But recent T.A.R.C. transit cutbacks have added a massive hurdle. Many women arriving at the shelter carry everything they own in heavy luggage. I had the best experience at turning point center! The techs, nurses, therapists and case managers REALLY care! I have to give a special shout out to the techs that really took time to pour into each client individually. The food is great and if you come there with just the clothes on your back they will make sure you have everything you need and more. NA/AA meetings are brought into the facility multiple times a week and you are given the option to go to an outside meeting every week day after lunch. It’s a smaller facility so I felt like I was taken care of and beyond! The staff truly cares! Thanks for an AMAZING experience!

So let me start off by saying I was court ordered to come here & was not happy at first, they have that saying if you don’t want to truly get clean it’ll never happen, well I'm here to prove that’s not true. I didn’t want to be at rehab, but I just took it day by day. The staff is incredibly welcoming & loving and that makes all the difference when trying to get clean. After a few days of detoxing I got Medication-assisted treatment, and started feeling better each day. This is a small rehab so you really get to know the other clients and leave with long term friends and get to know the staff as well - like your therapist for example, so you actually feel comfortable opening up and not just sharing because you have to. I also loved the AA/Na speakers they have come in - I was really able to connect with each speakers stories and they give you hope that if they can stay clean for that long through everything so can we! I also loved the fact they took us to outside AA meetings everyday so we get a chance to just get out and interact with new people. It was a safe healing place and if you’re needing help this is the place to go ❤️‍🩹

I walked into that place thinking it was just like the rest, it wouldn't change me, it couldn't help me ,ect, but this place was different it put together all the broken pieces of me and built me back up into a new better person. The staff the are also very caring and kind, most staff care about you like your they're own child.

This place has helped us so much with 2 children ages 9 and 10. They are very supportive. Constant communication and really support the family dynamics. Not only do they focus on the child but the family as well. We hit a rough patch and they were extra supportive with accommodations for visits with our child. Mitch is always great to talk too and really informative on our child’s care. Toni in admissions has been amazing and really taken care of us. We can not say enough good things about Stephanie our child’s therapist. She is the absolute best and really puts her heart into the children. The cottage staff and manager are just as amazing. Amber is always super helpful anytime we have spoken to her. Mr. Chris and Ms. Bianca really go out of there way for our child that is currently there and even help us in crisis moments with our other child that was previously there. We have not met anyone that we do not like. When we have picked up from the school, everyone is so informative on the progress our child is making. We have had experience in other residential treatment centers and this is by far the best choice we have experienced yet.
