Before Hickory I’ve never experienced any sort of rehabilitation. In ANY aspect of my life. I was WRECKED. So my expectations were very “surfaced”. The tools and practices the staff, therapists, BHT’s and even the front desk and office staff provide go beyond just the addiction part. Even when some of us are at our absolute lowest and have lost sight of everything and everyone else…. It’s impossible, even then to lose sight of someone making us feel GENUINELY cared about. I’ll always remember the time we spent together Hickory!!! All 3 times of them.

I have and will continue to recommend Hickory House to people that are struggling with addiction because of what they have done and meant to me in my life. I've been seeing a therapist at Greenfield Gallahue & couldn't be happier with the care I've received. As with any medical condition and seeing a specialist for that problem can take several weeks to months to get in to see that specialist. The same is true with therapist. It can take alot of time to get in. I mention this because I want to share for anyone reading this to not give up if you don't get an answer, call again. If we were having a heart problem we take it seriously and we would keep calling that cardiologist until we got in, right? But it might take weeks or months to get in, unless its an emergency and in that case we go to the ER. Your mental health and when something is going on we can see a specialist and if its an emergency that's when an inpatient *emergency * is going on and we need to have immediate care. If youre in crisis right now you can call or text 988 and talk to someone rightaway. In the mean time, make the appointment and hang in there. It's hard right now to get in to any doctor or specialist and most if them are really doing the best they can too because they're human -- just like us.

It’s really nice doing virtual appointments and the initial intake questions that you have to do typically beforehand was done over the phone when I scheduled my appointment. The person was very sensitive to my comfort level in regards to answering touchy questions. I’ve seen ALOT of therapists throughout my life and I feel so comfortable with Erica and I actually enjoy hearing her input.

Before Selah, I had several experiences at trauma centers that made me questioned if I ever wanted to get help or if my recovery was worth it.
I was admitted to Selah in Summer 2023 and 2024. I learned to advocated for myself and others. Shout out to nurse Mary Adkins and Kenzie, therapists Emily and Marice! Without them I would of left Selah. I was panicking, didn't feel heard and my dietian left for a different practice. There was so many changes that happened when I was there in 2024. But overall for me, what I gained from both experience was "trust" from the clinical staff at Selah. Trust the process. I have never had that before.

So glad to hear recently therapist Emily is taking over Christian Programming. One of the reasons I looked more into Selah was faith programming. On Sundays, I always looked forward to church in residential and php.

selah may not have been able to heal me from my eating disorder, not because their work and people aren’t great, but i believe because i have very deep internal issues i’ve struggled to work on myself for years. the program improved a lot from 2022 to 2024 (my two stays). obviously the program had its issues and iffy staff members, but overall the nurses and techs made me feel so loved. nancy, hailey, sydney, jess, christi, maggie, marcie, kati and chris the chaplain are amazing people. thank you guys for making me feel like a person.
Not my first time at ICFR, but my first experience with the Indy campus. I love the small close-knit community. The staff is caring and helpful. The counselors are fantastic. The facility is clean and supports group dynamics. I would definitely refer anyone I care about who needs help to this company.

RCA,RCA! Where do I begin? So I graduated the program in January of 2025 and the facility offered me great skills to help to stay sober and therapy while there.
After leaving the Alumni coordinator always checked in monthly and I ended up at alumni events such as speaker events and even a Halloween event at Hogan Farms. I’d recommend this recovery network to anyone seeking a safe and reliable sober community!

I just completed their 28 day stay and it was pretty good. The class's are full with knowledge and tools and coping skills. Most of the staff have your best interests at heart. The food is good and there is alot. Tvs in your room with Netflix, YouTube, tubi, Pluto. You get your phone 2 hours a day everyday. You can smoke, and chew pretty much whenever you want. The nurses will get your meds squared away without a problem. Your counselor will met with you for one on one's all throughout the week. I want to give a shout out to my counselor Lisa White, she really cared about what I was going through and helped me my whole time there. They also provide places you can go to after you complete the program. They have a detox side you can go to when you first get there if you are coming off hard drugs. They have a full size gym with all the equipment and and outside basketball court, volleyball, football, ping pong, cards, and art supplies. You can order stuff from Amazon like hygiene. You can also order nicotine products if you have cash or card or your people can drop them off. I had a easy great time there. You just got to focus on yourself and not worry about what other people are doing. It's easy to get caught up in what other people are doing and if you are going through anything like that just talk to counselor. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get there life headed in the right direction. It's a good starting place. They bill your insurance so it's pretty much free, it dont cost any actual money. Thanks so much recovery village I appreciate the help and I am doing good still.

The lodge has an incredible staff of counselors and techs that absolutely cares about your recovery in a woodsy and relaxing environment that has access to a gym and 24 hour availability to people who can help with any issue that you might be having with recovery and access to food 24 hours a day ( so watch the belt line ) . Although the schedule is demanding they have a way of making seem that it is not over bearing ... They changed and saved my life and I know the staff can do the same for you if you want it ... So if you want a better life there is not a better way to do it than living Laverna loca

You guys have been a very important part of my recovery and I must say my experience from the psychiatrist to the therapist and the group facilitator are all wonderful at what they do and I want to move to another state but I don't think I will find the level of care and professionalism I've received at midtown.

I was an addict and this place put me in detox and the best part is when they won't let you use your phone so you can work on ur self not gonna lie over everything all I wanted was a cigarette hats off bc it helped me get better with myself it's all about who wanna and who don't and the staffs and people there are very lovely people helpful and a real unit to show each one help one each one tech one I would really recommend and I would join the process all over now that I overcome the biggest part in my life and that was letting the substance take control over me detox is the best to show you got more mind power than u didn't know u had❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂

I love what the Harbor Light Center is doing for our community! I know several people who have gone through this program and they have been transformed by the incredible love and care they received there. This is a top-notch detox and addiction treatment program and it shows. Harbor Light welcomes anyone - no matter what their background is or how many times they've been through recovery. The staff doesn't give up on anyone! Everyone says that the big difference between The Salvation Army's program and the others they'd experienced was how faith became a part of their recovery for the first time. Recovery is so much easier when you know that you're never alone in your journey. We are truly blessed to have an affordable and quality program like this right here in Indiana.

Professional yet warm staff, Incredible Drs. who really take the time to listen. They understand that each person has a different experience when detoxing and do their best make an individualize treatment plan. The entire detox floor is kept immaculate and the food is nutritious and is good. I would recommend this detox floor to anyone needing help. Many nurses are in recovery of some sort.

I've been a patient here for over 6 years and have had some issues here and there but it took me a while to realize how much this place cares about their patients. They have been there for me through everything and never gave up on me or kicked me out of therapy for my behavior, which is improving thanks to my new treatment plan with Dr. Patrick Z. I realize that mental health therapy takes time and not everything is going to work right off the bat. Maybe its a breakthrough i've had while in treatment, or maybe it's me finally growing up. If you're willing to be patient and put the time and effort into your therapy, you'll get alot farther than you would just by taking pills and calling it a day. I'll always recommend this place! There are literally no amount of words that could describe the way that Spero Health has not just changed my life, but truly gave me my life back! This place inspired me to not only remain clean but I've even taken the courses (CPRS-A & tons of other relevant training courses, & cont. to take several per week) so that I can be a certified peer recovery specialist and now I'm currently looking for a facility to work for and help others as I was helped as well!!
