I spent almost 6 months at the gables from oct.2018 to April 2019. That place saved My life and changed My life. I'm still in contact with some of the old staff and made a lot of connections with some amazing woman. No cell phone was one of the best ideas. MY mental health has remained stable and I have little over 5 yrs of sobriety. Thank you for changing and saving My life,!!!!!!

The Gables was by far the best treatment I have been to, which is saying a lot as I have been to inpatient 15 times. The staff thoroughly care. They are so compassionate, professional and kind. The food was amazing. I felt safe and was able to process a lot of issues plaguing me for years. They treat the clients with respect and go above. I love this place!

The individuals they serve are battling some of the toughest mental health challenges out there, and that reality doesn’t just impact them—it impacts the people walking alongside them in treatment, too. Here’s the part some people don’t like to hear: there are three sides to every story. Yours, theirs, and the truth somewhere in the middle. So before forming an opinion based on a shared post, a comment thread, or secondhand frustration, ask yourself—have you actually experienced this place firsthand? Or are you repeating someone else’s version of events? If you’re going to leave a review, let it be from your own experience. Not borrowed outrage. From what I have experienced, this is a group of people doing hard work, with real care, in a space that most wouldn’t last a day in—and that deserves more respect than it often gets. Just go to Rochester if your really sick or got serious health issues... there will just send you to Rochester anyway if you go to Austin... Austin hospital is basically training ground for noobs Er department my opinion. Don't get me wrong but the people who work at the Austin mayo clinic are really nice and respectful people there just trying to help you or in my case save my life .

After reading these reviews I want to remind everyone this is not an inpatient. This is a stepping stone after treatment. I have a family member there and its been great for her. No place can make someone sober unless they want it.

This place is a fantastic transition from inpatient to IOP. The PRS's are super helpful and a huge benefit in your journey through recovery. Barring medical needs that sent me to St, Luke’s, ALL staff were pleasant and professional. From top to bottom the care was phenomenal to me as an individual, not by my patient number. Beyond hospitable by providing anything I could possibly need and they even gave my husband an evening snack bag so that he wouldn’t have to leave my side. I appreciated the communication between the rounding physician and surgical doctors and myself so I maintained autonomy in my own healthcare decisions. 10/10 stars!

I had a very positive experience at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. The doctors, nurses, and entire medical staff were incredibly professional, compassionate, and attentive throughout the treatment process. They took the time to clearly explain every step, answered all questions patiently, and made sure we felt comfortable and well cared for. The level of care and dedication shown by the medical team was truly impressive. From the moment we arrived until the treatment was completed, everything was handled efficiently and with great kindness. The hospital facilities were clean, well organized, and the staff made sure the patient’s comfort and safety were always a priority. I’m very grateful for the excellent care we received. Thank you to the entire team at St. Luke’s for their commitment to patient care and for making a difficult situation much easier.

This clinic has saved my life, I have a very bad substance abuse disorder this is 4th clinic I've been on Suboxone and methadone well I've come to realize that I am lifer I am sick of relapsing so I'll be on methadone rest of my life.
