It was very difficult to walk through the doors to get the help I needed. At that time I was in denial that even had a problem. One of the best things that I did out of the gate was going around and meeting as many people as possible. I went to all the meetings that I could, and quickly learned of the disease that I was dealing with. I sat back and listened to everyone’s story and soon started to see why I was there. It took a couple of days for everything to sink in, and I started to digest all the information that I could. Every staff member was 100% behind me in the recovery process and offered all kinds of encouragement. I felt comfortable being there and was able to open up to staff and other addicts in recovery without being judged. I learned how to identify what triggers make me susceptible to my addiction. They provided me the tools necessary to fight off urges and remove myself from uncomfortable situations. I owe my life to Valley Hope in Moundridge. I was on the verge of losing everything and had no idea. My time there has made me a better husband, father, son, sibling and friend. I definitely look at people in a different view and do not judge as I have no idea what life they have been dealt with. I came away with a new mindset on life and met a lot of great people. From the staff and patients, I am now living a great sober life. Anyone that is struggling or know of someone struggling, VH Moundridge is the place to be. I went in broken, and came out with the chance of a better life and a newfound family. This family is always willing to take a phone call when in need. We all have to work together if we want a better life. Again, the staff is top notch, and all they want is for you to be successful. Don’t wait another day. This journey started off with a lot of unknowns, now it is my turn to hold myself accountable and live a sober life. There are many alumni functions to keep you in touch with the people that you have met, along with a sober environment. Seeing their progress keeps me determined that I can stay sober and maybe help someone else in need. I do love my new life and new way of living. I highly recommend taking this journey, it might just save your life like it did for me. Also want to mention that the food is really good!

In June of this year I had never been more broken and hopeless. I had no desire to live anymore. God gave me the power and willingness to give Valley Hope in Moundridge a chance. It was the greatest decision ive made. They were there for me and walked through all of my trauma with me. The staff was top notch. Through being there for me through my detox and then being there to walk me through my life they were my angels. The counseling is what really made my experience there unforgettable. Today I am sitting at 99 days sobriety and I wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for the help of VH and Ofcourse God. They showed me the love I had searched for all my life. I will forever be grateful to them.

This place felt like a fresh start 🌞. I was nervous going in, but the staff made me feel right at home. Everything was clean, calm, and way more chill than I expected 🚿.The people here actually listen . They don’t just throw advice at you—they talk with you, not at you. The groups helped me open up, and the one-on-one talks really hit deep . I’m leaving stronger, clearer, and finally hopeful again

Sober Living felt like more than just a treatment center — it felt like a reset button on life. The staff was chill but totally on point, and they made sure everyone felt seen, not just processed. From day one, it was all about rebuilding without judgment. What stood out most was the community. Everyone was rooting for each other, and that energy was contagious. Whether it was group sessions, quiet mornings, or late-night talks, it all felt real. I walked in broken and walked out with a new mindset. Five stars, no doubt.

Fort Supply, OK | Northwest Center for Behavioral Health is a certified community behavioral health clinic that helps with substance use and mental health issues. The location is easily accessible through State Highway 183 and nearby m | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This is a very old facility, in fact the oldest mental health facility in the state. If you’re struggling, but afraid to take that first step to help yourself, you’ve nothing to fear here. Yes, it is restrictive. No phones and no smoking, etc. However, those are measures that actually help you to cope with your mind and body, maybe for the first time in a long time. The staff of nurses, therapists, doctors and techs are the most loving people I’ve ever met. They saved my life. I had not eaten or slept for months, struggling to cope with a physical illness that is killing me, and a mind fracturing under the pressure of it all. I leaned into it all, and let them save me. And they did. Food I could tolerate, fresh and plentiful was served to me by kitchen staff that care and nurture, without judgment. I was given medication that helped me to finally sleep, really rest. I was given every opportunity to share and find comfort in my pain, both with the staff and with the other clients there, themselves as scared as I was. Today I am home and so grateful for my life and the VERY last line of people willing to stand up for and with me, and advocate for my physical and emotional worth. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are forever kept safely in it. Clint, Tyra, Moriam, Stephanie, Linda, Logan, Abby, Emily, Megan, Dr. Reeder and Dr. Cunningham, the intake and kitchen staff, and finally to Troy. Who watched me move and learn to be at peace with my body, in its weakened and depressed state. The sun is still on my face, the wind at my back now, thank you all.
