Ive a frequent flyer at this ER and I always had a great experience staff is always friendly... Lisa is by far the BEST Dr to receive treatment from, I also had Dr. Strunk she was incredibly rude, dismissive, asked me what was so important I had to come to the ER and not a Dr visit at the clinic, she talked to me like I was incoherent, she made me feel extremely stupid for going, didn't run any test only had vitals checked and ears checked, she made me feel so bad I never wanted to go to this ER AGAIN or scared I would get her again if I had to go back. But LISA IS AMAZING VERY INFORMATIVE, CARING, EXPLAINS THINGS SO YOU UNDERSTAND, HAS SO MUCH COMPASSION FOR HER PATIENTS! Don't let one crappy Dr discourage you from this ER.

This experience isn't about this hospital. Unfortunately it's about Pawnee County Hospital.
I went 3 weeks ago with shortness of breath. And the doctor told me I was dehydrated and walked out of the room and sent in the discharge nurse. I went to another hospital with a REAL DR. and they actually listened to what was wrong. They prescribed medicine that would keep my heart rate close to normal to keep me from dying. And referred me to a cardiologist who scheduled an ultrasound for the heart, stress test and monitor. But the appt days are still in the future.
Speed up to today.
I forgot to take my medicine this morning. But sitting in my office I didn't really notice it much. It got hard to breath sometimes but wasn't bad. Then I made the mistake of walking around the store. I walked maybe 30 yards and my heart rate SHOT UP. I went and got my medicine because I couldn't breathe then I came home to try and relax. But it kept getting worse. My body got tingly, my hands locked up. My whole body locked up. I couldn't move, talk, or do anything. My buddy called the ambulance and they took me to the ER. I have already had an ekg, blood test and xray. All normal. That's why I'm waiting on the other tests appts. But they did them all again anyways. Then the doctor comes in. This is IMPORTANT. he tells me that nothing is wrong. It's probably just a medicine I took. I told him I want another doctor. He chuckled, said there's not one. THEN WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM.
I was a 19D Cavalry Scout Forward Reconnaissance Dismount Team Leader. My body is trained to get through some tough stuff. I know when something is wrong with me. After being treated like that, if it happens again I would assume die on the kitchen floor before going back there.

In June of this year I had never been more broken and hopeless. I had no desire to live anymore. God gave me the power and willingness to give Valley Hope in Moundridge a chance. It was the greatest decision ive made. They were there for me and walked through all of my trauma with me. The staff was top notch. Through being there for me through my detox and then being there to walk me through my life they were my angels. The counseling is what really made my experience there unforgettable. Today I am sitting at 99 days sobriety and I wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for the help of VH and Ofcourse God. They showed me the love I had searched for all my life. Nah I don't have a drinking problem I can work until 5 to start drinking. Some days were good only to have 3 tallboys and days I need to have more. I was in denial because I didn't have to have a cold one in the 1st thing in the morning. But I realize that I was having trouble getting through the days without it. I had a wonderful experience with Valley Hope Moundridge! I came in a broken person greeted with hugs and promises that life gets better, and it does! I am currently 2 years sober and still going strong. There is HOPE for people today that need guidance away from the pain and suffering of alcohol and drugs and this is the perfect place for it. Very helpful. Place is a bit like a maze but workers have always stopped and helped me find where to go. Saw my Primary care and the next day got call to make specialty care appointment. I've had several appointments and been very pleased with timelines, professionalism, knowledge, and courtesy.

It was very much a tough love facility, which is the only way to get through to me. I didn't have any problems personally with the staff (other than my big personality clashing with staff's big personalities at times), they were all very nice to me. But they don't take no shit either, so don't pick this place trying to stir up trouble. You will not get along well. The kitchen staff is SO loving, I wish I was able to eat more while I was there!! It always looked so delicious and had huge helpings. I like this facility out of all other 7 times I've been elsewhere, because it is a dual diagnosis. They really give you curriculum that helps you to understand why we think and are this way, rather than the basic curriculum. Thank you all staff for being a helpful stepping stone in my story.

I love the dccca family! From the inpatient staff, the outpatient staff, the child care people to the dccca family Preservation people they are all amazing! AND A HUGE SHOUTOUT TO THE KITCHEN STAFF! the food is to die for! At dccca you become one big happy family I enjoyed every minute my kids and I where there I would do it ALLL OVER AGAIN! Dr.Warren is the most caring MAT provider I've ever had the privilege of meeting. Out of hundreds of clients he remembers my name and goes out of his way to greet me whenever around and make sure he is accessible to each and every one of his patients to answer questions, encourage and build the best individual recovery plan for everyone possible. But let's not forget about his wonderful staff of amazing counselors, nurses and receptionists that go above and beyond to not only do the best job but build relationships with each and every patient. As someone who was terribly frightened of starting on the path to mental health recovery, Comcare made it very easy. The workers were patient with my inexperience and my intake was a breeze.
My greatest fear was that I'd be treated as an attention-seeker, or foolish for having done my research. Instead, my intake practitioner was thoughtful and receptive, and agreed with my basic coverage of things; though I am not a skeptic of therapy, it was not what I needed. Referral to a medication consultation was quick and painless, as was that appointment.
Above all, everything has been immensely affordable -- and more importantly, Comcare doesn't pressure you to cough up. I've never once been made to pay in office, or even asked to. I get my bill in the mail, and pay when I am able.

I knew I needed help and researched several different recovery centers before calling Bel Aire Recovery Center. It was the best thing I ever did because it saved my life. I was admitted within a couple of days and once I entered the doors the trajectory of my life changed. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable about addiction and recovery. My granddaughter has been inpatient there 2 times. This last time really helped her. She hasn't had any issues since she was discharged. The staff were very friendly and polite. If she needed any thing they were there to help her . And let us know what she needed. Thank you all the staff for taking such good care of Annie .

It's been over four years since I was discharged but I had the best experiences when I was there, I had the best times with Mr.Kenny, Ms.Lori, Ms.April, Mr.Russel, and Ms.Becky they were the best people for helping me and making me laugh.

Dr Hon and Yahara are wonderful as well as the rest of the staff. I enjoyed my hospital stay here as much as one can, given the circumstances 10/10. Food is also not bad and can confirm they’re working on renovations

Was here multiple times for psych and once for alcoholism. I am above middle class, have a degree, and just have bipolar disorder from genetics. The people complaining don’t know how good it is compared to other facilities. The place is clean, the food is great, and the staff is amazing. Please remember the people reviewing this place have issues and can be handful. Most people who have problems at places like this, unless it is filthy, create their own problems.

Connie is a great nurse practitioner, she's always listens to my problems, and cares about how I'm doing as far as managing my stress, anxiety, and ptsd. She's always very accommodating on giving me refills if I need some before my next appointment.
