Were there some bumps on the road yes. Were there times I wanted to run home yes (I actually tried and didn't make it far) but at the same time nothing that you could go through there was any worse that being home in fact I think I maybe wouldn't be here today if not for good Ole dessie. I met some of the best people in my life here. I had some really good experiences. I finished high-school I am 29 and am married with 3 kids and a homeowner. I can honestly say none of those things would be true if not for them. I actually am a 2 timer I went for 6 months when I was 15 and it wasn't long enough. Got home and didn't make it 3 months had to come right back. Well anyway I guess my point is you don't make it there by accident or by bad luck and there are a thousand worse places they could send you I promise you. There isn’t much to do but the place is really what you make of it. The therapists, doctors, and nurses that come in are super knowledgeable and understanding. The main issues with this facility is cleanliness and how the worst of the worst also gets hospitalized there due to accepting people who have a criminal record or etc. . Besides the scenic location and the beautiful, clean house, the staff are incredible. They're awesome. They are life savers. Chris Mills (therapist) sets the tone - he ensures that the atmosphere of recovery is maintained. Without that we would all just be 'doing time' there. He is the de facto spiritual leader and I thank God that I have had the oppurtunity to learn from his demonstration. Ashleigh (therapist) has extensive experience of staying clean no matter what and transforming her life into something beautiful. She radiates that. I wish we all would see Rich (administrator) more as he is a spiritual master. Incredibley accessible spiritual wisdom he has. He can make difficult concepts about recovery easily digestible. Chris J (head supervisor) can make even the most desperate addict smile and want to take recovery serious. You cant help but know he understands the worst of the worst and doesnt judge. He just wants us all to recover. The recovery coaches are personable, friendly and funny but also hold us accountable and guide us in our recovery through their own experience. The therapists are probably the best part about the place, but all of the staff genuinely want to help you. It's in a very secluded place so it's nearly impossible to leave to use. Unlike most other places it's a big mansion with half the people upstairs and half downstairs. I stayed upstairs and the A/C was almost too good in the summer. It probably stayed 62 degrees up there. Would definitely recommend this if you are serious about getting sober. Lpd 1 month ago Literally the best rehab center I’ve ever attended. Had intensive group therapy multiple times a day, and it help me with all my issues. They had a full blown gym, and I made actual brothers there. I would recommend this facility to ANYONE. They introduced me to narcotics anonymous which is a program. I never had tried before and just recently got two years clean. They sent me up for the beginning to stay clean. It is the only place I’ve ever seen where when you get to go to meetings you’ll see the staff there and they treat you like family not a number. I also used to work for the same program, which is ARIA and both experiences were phenomenal. I highly recommend this if you want to change your life it changed mine. I went in broken with a backpack of dirty clothes and no options.
