Were there some bumps on the road yes. Were there times I wanted to run home yes (I actually tried and didn't make it far) but at the same time nothing that you could go through there was any worse that being home in fact I think I maybe wouldn't be here today if not for good Ole dessie. I met some of the best people in my life here. I had some really good experiences. I finished high-school I am 29 and am married with 3 kids and a homeowner. I can honestly say none of those things would be true if not for them. I actually am a 2 timer I went for 6 months when I was 15 and it wasn't long enough. Got home and didn't make it 3 months had to come right back. Well anyway I guess my point is you don't make it there by accident or by bad luck and there are a thousand worse places they could send you I promise you. There isn’t much to do but the place is really what you make of it. The therapists, doctors, and nurses that come in are super knowledgeable and understanding. The main issues with this facility is cleanliness and how the worst of the worst also gets hospitalized there due to accepting people who have a criminal record or etc. . Had intensive group therapy multiple times a day, and it help me with all my issues. They had a full blown gym, and I made actual brothers there. I would recommend this facility to ANYONE. The therapists are also something to not overlook, they go WAY above and beyond to educate what's really going on with our minds and body. I've been through 4 recovery centers, two in Kentucky one in California and then this one. This is the only one I can truly say that they take this lifestyle seriously and the presence of a higher power flows through every body in the house. I wouldn't recommend any other place. I’ve been to treatment as a controlled environment for this program over 40 times. But for 7 months through an implant in my ear I have had to listen to 2 or 3 people in my ear for 24/7 mostly about my ex boyfriend who the program hired to mess with me as well. Every treatment center and sober living I have been in for 7 years has participated all my so called friends, family, even bf were brought into it. I’m harassed about every trauma or horrible experience they could create or find out about. This was a good place but I hit 4 treatment centers in 4 weeks because they went too far stressing me with the voices in my ear canal as well as the clients and staff they recruited to play games while my thoughts broadcasted to the people around me. For the government to issue whatever for hips to be violated and them to enter a rehab for research grounds or court order is all that could do it. It’s been 17 years of nastiness especially the last 7 years but they hired my bf to leave me and play games with me so the voices in my ear could non stop torture me with him and how he took a job to leave me. The truth is they have had me isolated and single for 17 years and they had to get me lit and him away from me to be able to do this stressed out miserable research on me. So they brought him into the group payed to monitor me to get him away and make me feel miserable and isolated and they make sure I know it was about money from my boyfriend or ex I guess since I get a vague wish washy text ever 2 to 3 days to string me along so they can keep torturing me about him.how much money did it take. Why after I find someone after 17 years did you destroy it? Thanks for your part Stepworks London this was the second fight in 4 centers I had been to in 4 weeks. Michelle Fromm 5 years ago I was recently at Lydia's house phase 1. I balked at the thought of going to a faith-based rehabilitation facility as many struggling with addiction will. The staff and interns at all of the ARC (Addiction Recovery Care) facilities are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. They really do care and it shows. If you are struggling with addiction and have been to other rehabs where God was only mentioned in step 3, then I urge you to give it a chance. God really lives in that house and through the people there. Patience, open-mindedness and acceptance are just two of their MANY loving traits. I was in Elizabeth's room across the hall from Mary's room and beside Hannah's room which is adjacent to Sarah's room. These are not the names of clients, rather the names given to each room in the house so given because they are women of the Bible who had miraculous births. if you are ready to birth a miraculous new life then give Lydia's house a call I promise you you will be glad you did God bless and have a wonderful day. I can’t say enough good things about this place so I’m just gonna say I’m so greatful for everything they have done for my daughter. My daughter is back to her old self and has found the lord and been saved. Addiction is hell and if you want to change your life and you have to want to, then I recommend this place. Im hoping that he can find it and that the house keeper who worked Tuesday, may 5th (we were released at 6pm) and cleaned room 222 (second floor) didn’t steal the shirt but, they could have left it at the nurse station and they should have and didnt. They possibly could have put it in the loss n found in house keeping but I just don’t know why they would have. It’s a dickies men’s shirt and it’s not even that great or new but it was just his “coat” that made me so mad about it and if they took it then they are stealing and they shouldn’t be trusted bc what if someone left something with money in it? They’d not turn it in either! When they clean the rooms they should know that if they find something they shouldn’t keep it or at least wait a few days before keeping it and see if it’s a important enough item for the patient who left it to come back after it. They might not have enough workers and they might not care for that reason but if they are stealing they should lose their job! Now the reason for the 4 stars was the great ER staff who had my husband admitted and moved upstairs in no time. The nurse who was trying to give him a IV like to never got one and blew two of his veins but anyone can have a bad day so it doesn’t mean she was a bad nurse, she was very nice he said. Upstairs we had Shelly who was Amazing! She made our night go ahead smoothly and exceptionally nice! She changed his IV to a new spot and got it the 1st time! She brought us everything we needed and asked me if I needed anything to! She was the best nurse I’d ever seen! Usually you have to ask for help but I didn’t have to ask her for nothing and she was coming through our door when I would have anything even hit my mind so she just had excellent timing! The nurse that next morning was a great nurse but after a few hours into her shift she seemed like she was the one who needed a nurse…. She still did the best she could though and they sure did have a lot of walking to do around those halls. I’m just glad that they got my husband checked out fully and that he’s ok and didn’t have any blockages.
