Watching a loved one struggle as many in my family has, is heartbreaking. Michael is a miracle & God has put the right people in his path. The mens house was a beautiful house in what seemed like a very nice neighborhood. Had plenty of space and nice chill area in the back yard. The groups were good and was able to have some fun with them. The house manager Denny I believe his name was, was absolutely incredible. However, the rest of the hospital has been beyond exceptional. During covid in 2022, I spent two weeks recovering in the Lex VA hospital and really got to see exceptional care. Last year I spent a total of a month (two weeks each time) in the Lex VA hospital and was reminded why I stay in the Lex VA region. From nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, physical rehabilitation, nutritionist and everyone that took care of me on a daily basis showed beyond exceptional care. Ive been through a few VA care systems. Some were... dangerous for patient care and you felt that going in. My only complaint would be the doctor turnover rate can make it difficult to get comfortable with a doctor. But, the doctors are always above par. The staff is wonderful and always eager to help. The Office is also clean and easy to get to. Terri and TJ have been working there from the start and I would trust them with my life. I'm grateful for a a good place I can trust with my recovery. Truth is I would be just another statistic dead due to overdose! They have taught me how to live again, love myself, and become a productive member of society. With the medication along with the groups and counseling and support from their human resource team. I’ve been able to get back on my feet and any bumps in the road they are always their the help me figure it out.With the groups and counseling have helped me reprogram my brain into a healthier mindset to deal with everyday life situations with out turning to drugs. It doesn’t happen overnight it has taken me years to get where I am, but it works, and that’s why I’ve always came back. I know what I can be using this life changing program. I know where I would b if I didn’t come back and keep trying. I know I would not have been able to help my daughter get ready for prom, be here to take pictures with my kids on Mother’s Day and for that I’m so grateful to the team that I’ve worked with at Spero heath all these years.
