Just released from in-care for anxiety and calming down. Love, love, love the staff! Groups are very helpful, and participating can be be enlightening. Food had been great on previous visits-not right now, it isn't. Beware of you have asthma, cleaning product grades are medically necessary with so many people going in and out, and are high in VOCs. Get medical Dr to temporarily double your asthma medication, I forgot and I had a hard time catching my breath. Not highly structured at all, and wonderful people helping you. A great place to calm down!

Coming from Beaumont VA, this clinic is absolutely amazing! The staff are friendly and helpful. The mental health team takes your care seriously, you can tell the people that work here genuinely enjoy their job. My PMC was extremely helpful in getting me prescribed certain urgent medications. If you’re moving to this clinic, I’d have to say you’re in good hands.

I don't know why everyone is complaining about this clinic. I have had nothing but excellent service for my father. His nurse Kiani is fantastic. His social worker Kiana goes all out for my family. Whatever we need for my dad they come through very quickly. I never have to stand by and wait. My father is NOT 100% yet, but they are working on it. I feel you get the same treatment you give. This place saved my son’s life! SAVED HIS LIFE! My son was there for one year 2024-2025 and he completed the programs, classes meetings and then lived at Genesis Sober Living. He would be in jail or dead if it wasn’t for the Sanctuary. Chris M and the court judge always worked with my son to make sure he stayed on track. I was here in 2013 for mental health and rapid detox from a dangerous substance i was addicted to. I had a very good experience Was so glad to be able to stay close to home so my family could visit. I cannot praise Alan Parrish Hospital enough for creating new visions. It was a blessing that I did not expect. Everyone from the medical staff, to the dietary employees, and even the housekeeping employees show compassion, and respect to every patient. The moment that you walk in you are cared for with compassion and respect. No judgment, just a real heart for their patience. They are professional and get the job done.. They do not just put you in a room and forget about you. They monitor your health needs all day and all night and they do it with the smile on their face. The highest praise I can give is that when you were there you will actually feel loved and wanted and accepted. If you are in need of detox, this is the place you want to go.

Star was communicating with my mom to get me brought all the way from Oregon and answered any questions we had. I went in for alcohol treatment, I was VERY bad off and she helped set my moms mind at ease going through this. I unfortunately dont remember my first few days there during detox but today makes 235 days sober and im so grateful to have been placed in her hands. I recently brought my cousin there to detox as well and she was more than happy to answer my call and line everything up to make his process as pain free as possible. I cant thank the staff enough.

I have been to Edgefield 3 times and I will not go anywhere else for treatment for substance use disorder. The staff is caring and compassionate, attentive to the needs of the clients, and puts the client first. There was a new administrator this time I went, Mr. Bobby Rayford, who I highly commend on his hiring of the new staff. He is a delight to be around and even did my discharge plan for me. His concern for Edgefield being a top notch rehab facility really shows through. Good job on cutting back on the snacks, because many addicts in recovery struggle with weight gain. Thank you Edgefield for another beautiful stay. I will never forget the sunrises and sunsets I saw out there on the bayou. If you are looking for a rehab to meet all of your needs, look no further. This is the place.

Edgefield first caught my attention because of its location and history but upon arrival I was introduced to the compassionate staff that made me feel at home. The repuposed plantation house is such a charm with beautiful chandeliers, fireplaces, and paintings to gaze at between classes, meals, or in the afternoon. The staff was so caring and involved in my recovery process. They genuinely are concerned for the patients and it shines through all of the employees, from the physicians, techs, and lunch room employees. Being set on a quiet bayou with lots of wildlife to observe and appreciate. I recommend a volleyball game during your stay. The food was amazing and filling, so if you are on a diet I suggest passing on the 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches they offer as snack. Thank you for helping me so that I could help others.

Absolutely beautiful grounds and the most supportive, caring, and loving staff. From the moment I walked in at Intake I immediately felt welcomed. Was greeted by staff that also had personaly experienced the recovery journey. Having that in common made it easier for me to be able to start forgiving myself and focusing on my sobriety. The techs were able to guide me , answering all my questions and calming my anxiety. There was plenty of other clients to talk to. We enjoyed fishing, volley ball and basketball. Staff even played with us. My counselor was able to listen, be empathetic but also hold me accountable. Which I needed more than I knew at the time. The atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for my self healing. I can't thank Edgefield Recovery Center enough for giving me the opportunity to get my life back. One I am proud of. I would strongly recommend Edgefield to anyone ready to start their journey. We had nightly AA meetings, small groups, one on one counseling, mediation, yoga, gratitude, family meal's. (BTWThe food is Great!!)Edgefield Recovery Center saved me. The discharge planner was even able and willing to work with me to find me a sober living home in my preferred area to where I was able to get a job, have transportation and begin on a healthy path!! I honestly love this place but the Beaumont office are quite unfair about attendance and one group I didn't know that my camera was off and instead of warning me she kicked me off wouldn't answer her phone and I couldn't message her and if you miss one day you get a whole week added on. Its also not a nice way to handle people that are needing help from you.

Ms. Jaline and Ms. Abmer are truly remarkable individuals. I personally struggled with sobriety for a long time and have explored other recovery programs in the past. However, their program was the key to my sustained success. They have walked this path themselves and deeply understand the challenges and Wins of recovery.
