I was at the Palmer Hospital for 8hrs and had vitals and x-ray done. I left the Palmer Hospital and went to Holyoke. Vitals and x-ray done. Had a room and nurse came in often and doctor was busy but made time to hear what was going on with me. He ordered multiple test. Told me what it was and medication I will need and follow up with my doctor. I was able to get through the weekend. Big thank you to the emergency room staff!!! My son underwent a major orthopedic procedure, and from the moment we arrived, the entire staff treated us with professionalism, kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. Dr. Noah Epstein was exceptional. As a mother, handing your child over for surgery is never easy, regardless of how old they are. Dr. Epstein gave me confidence that my son was in capable hands. He took the time to communicate with us, and I especially appreciated him coming to speak with me personally after the surgery. That meant more than he probably realizes. The nurses, surgical team, recovery staff, and everyone we encountered were attentive and caring. We never felt like just another patient or family coming through the hospital. They made a stressful and emotional day feel manageable because we knew my son was being well cared for. I left Holyoke Medical Center incredibly grateful. Five stars are not enough for Dr. Epstein and this wonderful team. Thank you for taking such excellent care of my son and for taking care of this worried mom, too. The place was well organized, seemed to be run well and plenty of patient supervision, from the point that my friend made it through the complete admission process, she was able to reach out to myself and her sister, and her mother, and then transition to the Hope house in Springfield. I strongly encourage anyone battling with addiction and / or dual diagnosis as well, to call Carlson for bed availability and go through the program. A lot has changed in this field over the past five years, but most notably over the past two years, and there is help and there is hope, if you know somebody who’s struggling out there, they are somebody’s daughter they are somebody’s son. They could also be somebody’s spouse and they could also be somebody’s parent as well, try to do what you can to help them as long as it’s within your cable tow. God bless. Samuel Dean 11 months ago I think the Carlson center was awesome. They medicate you so you are really comfortable. Their food is incredible and you can get seconds too which is helpful when you are starving and coming off alcohol. Every time I relapsed I went there because I knew they would give me another chance. You should go to groups but yes you can sleep if you’re tired. I remember the first time I went there. I was in serious alcohol withdrawal. I had the best sleep after being medicated. Their staff is great too. They saved my life. They wake you up for vitals early but you may need medication. They have punch in the tv room which I drank like no tomorrow. Snacks too. I’ve been there like 7 times and they always treat me great. I wish I could say my name but can’t. She was having trouble breathing and didn’t seem like herself. She tested positive for RSV and the pediatric doctor there (red headed lovely woman) was super helpful in making the decision to get her helicoptered over to CCMC in Hartford. The staff is very knowledgeable and I appreciated them making quick decisions and getting us a transport that was safe and effective. My only complaint would be that my daughter seemed way worse often than anyone else in the waiting room and we still had to wait about 45 minutes to be seen. I went up once and explained like she’s actually struggling to breathe and then it was only about 10 minutes later that they saw her so they did act once I voiced my concern. Not only were the girls there so welcoming & helpful, the staff always went above & beyond (usually). Not only did I get my kids back, I got Housing as well. This house gave me my life back 10 fold. If you are serious about getting better & need help getting your kids & ur life back, be prepared to do the work, but this place will absolutely help u do it. I was there about 8 months. Chelsea Breton 4 years ago I entered the Grace House in October of 2020, literally on the brink of losing my three beautiful daughters forever. I was born into a very dysfunctional family, was a victim of domestic violence almost my entire life, and eventually became a substance abuser. I barely survived two unintentional overdoses during the summer and still my life continued to spiral further down than it ever had before. Finally, I accepted the fact that I needed to enter treatment not only for the chance to get my children back but also just to stay alive. When I walked in the door I felt completely defeated, overwhelmed, and anxious yet I knew I was in the right place. Slowly, with the help of the caring staff and hard work from all involved, each day became a little bit easier. They advocated for me when it came to having my children placed with me in the program. The support and encouragement my girls and I received was second to none. We were given the tools we'd always needed to live a better life. The staff as well as the other women and children in the program became "our family". Because of the work I was able to do on myself and the insight i gained from therapy and daily groups I was able to take my voice back and set clear boundaries, something I had never successfully done throughout my life. My girls also learned so many important things such as it's okay to feel, you can restart your day at any point, you are unique, communication is key, laughter is the best medicine, help others, be grateful, and so many more. I graduated in June and moved into my own apartment in July with my three girls. Life is still life, there are still good days and bad days but thanks to this program I am better equipped to handle those not so good days. The only I stopped going there was because I moved far enough a closer office was better for me. I am quite shocked by many of the other comments, those comments just don’t describe the experiences I had there. I can’t speak to how they are now, but when I used to go there, you always had some damn Karens making problems with the staff. After 30 years and 38 surgeries as well as being hit from behind a 55 miles plus per hour walking my dog October 18th 2024 the only option besides fentanyl the doctors would give me were more narcotics with an adrenal issue cancer and unresolved Medical issues. Stay away from the community health center of Franklin County if you value to the your life and the life of your loved ones. You only get one life. The Behavioral Health Network and Greenfield are a true lifesaver. When I showed up at their door at the beginning of June 2025 before my 40th birthday I was literally being stalked by the Grim Reaper. Every particle of this breakfast is hands down phenomenal. From the first stone you drive over in the parking lot to the security overseer Adam in the waiting room. I've been nothing but helped and heard. I am very proud of this facility and Alexander getting involved with helping others get their life back whether it be for the same reasons as me or other. And the difference between the behavioral health network and hcrc at energy Park is that the behavioral health network is a not-for-profit practice. Meaning they put the patient and the patient's needs first. Hcrc the energy Park in Greenfield is for profit, meaning they work off meeting there deadline and they do not seem to care how people feel about the medications or anything they don't seem to understand that not all people want take home medications and if you're so desperate for takeovers and it's likely not exactly cuz you're dying to have your medication as I learned considering as I walked out of hcrc in the middle of my intake appointment knowing it was the complete wrong place for me I was asked on my way out to the car if I had any bottles I would sell. I had no idea what that meant and was actually terrified being something very intimidating and new full of uncertainty with plenty of terminal illnesses and other service medical issues on board. The practice went above and beyond to make sure that I felt comfortable from picking up the paperwork to be getting treatment through my treatment and I wanted therapeutic services or had any needs they were usually addressed immediately or I were able to be put on providers Miss Fa-Fu 2 months ago Very nice people in BHN they have been very helpful always accommodating Chris 5 months ago This BHN facility has its ups and downs to it. From May 2018, to current day! I have experienced so much over the years. From being a Co-Ed Detox up until 2022. My last time being in this building in 2021, I'm now a resident of Connections. My caseworker Alex is very reasonable and understanding. The program director Jen is a wonderfully kind and cooperative person. This is a locked facility, where you have to be let on or off the unit. The different paths in recovery are accepted. There is from a structured guidance program here. 3 beds in each room, 3 meals provided daily, and staff (Recovery Specialists & Clinical Counselors) that will provide help/assistance/resources. I've been here in this new program for a week now and have adjusted very well. My future here will be very conducive to my recovery, I also believe that I can and will be very successful. I felt as if they genuinely cared. Will definitely be using Mercy on the future. My only complaint is that I've had to visit some of my doctors there since I got out and I noticed a lack of handicap accessible doors. None of the doors in the office area have those blue buttons you can push to open the doors...at least none that I can see. Those doors are heavy and awkward to open and I use a rollator. I can't imagine how difficult they are to handle for those in a wheelchair.
