Wow! What a journey. Please take this seriously for those in addition or wanting to recover! I went here during covid season 2020 when I got my DUI. I was regretting it, didn't take it seriously, etc. I did my month time stay there. Went home continued with addiction cause I still didn't care. After mother's day weekend on 05.09.22 was my first day of sobriety. I'm still sober to this day. Let me tell you what, I've had the most fantastic experiences and time of my life sober! Looking back, wish I'd took things seriously. I even got off probation this year in June. I wasn't supposed to get off until November next year 2024. I mean God's work is honestly a blessing and you definitely feel him working thru you. I remember starting out here at this place, they said "higher power" and I'm like naw, I don't got that. Not even my kids. Oh yeah, God is my highest power! This place is amazing! Trust me! Great staff, food, location, etc! Just please get help! It's not worth your life ending on bad terms! I will never go back to that life style. Sobriety is just the coolest 😎 Lord the energy you have, stability, motivation, passion to keep striving and going in life! Yes!! No more laziness! It's just nice! Thank to this place and the DUI was a huge lesson I needed to kick my rear end into gear! Let's keep going! SOBRIETY ROCKS! SOBRIETY IS THE COOLEST 😎

Current resident here at Auschwitz... Ooopes I meant serenity manor haha pretty easy to confuse the two. Anyway not really a good place to go unless your chill with just existing instead of living life to its fullest. There is no treatment programing or group of any kind so calling it an alcohol treatment is laughable. House full of slobs and thief's who don't really care to clean up after themselves, or just cleaning themselves for that matter. Staffs lazy as all hell with one exception whos just power tripping and condescending like no other. She just runs around being rude and constantly looking for something you've done wrong or haven't done and will unjustly punish with the almighty hand of Zeus. Place is dirty and theres a little hallway to go outside and sure enough there's a stray turd just laying there right in the middle of the floor, and me on my phone unexpectedly steps on it and fell right on top of it, very traumatic experience. All in all I think Auschwitz would be a vacation compared to this poor excuse of a scam business. Ciao

Anoka, MN | Transformation House - North Ferry Street is a rehab facility in Anoka, Minnesota. This residential center provides care for adults who have substance abuse and alcohol issues. They also provide a descaling program so you can transfer to outpatient, recovery housing | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I am an alumni, I am from Anoka so after my terrible experience at (the old) River place in Anoka, I went to Transformation house. 8 actually went there a few times , only completed it one time though. I couldn't tell you today how the program is TBH, but back when Betty was the owner (R.I.P.) and when Brian was the head councilor, and Angel was one of the cooks and Natalie was one of the technicians.... Back than that place really helped me out. They were so patient with me, they gave me the opportunity to get whatever I want out of it.

I can't say enough good things about Transformation House. My experience here was a night and day difference from my previous treatment center. My counselor was incredible – so empathetic and understanding, which made it easier to be honest and work through things. The entire staff genuinely cares about your well-being. It's clear they're not just going through the motions.
What I appreciated most was that they focused on helping me find the right path forward, even after I left. The outpatient program they connected me with was fantastic. Today, I'm proud to say I've graduated, I'm in college, I have a job, and most importantly, I have my kids back in my life.
My advice to anyone going to Transformation House is to be honest with yourself and your counselor, and truly commit to the process. Stop making excuses and put in the work – they will meet you where you are and provide the support you need. I also built some strong connections with the other women there. The staff creates a supportive environment, but ultimately, your willingness to change is key. Transformation House truly changed my life, and I'm incredibly grateful for how far I've come.

Elk River, MN | Riverplace Counseling Center is based in Anoka and Elk River, Minnesota. They have intensive outpatient programs for adult men who have substance abuse issues. Lodging is available in both locations, if needed. The program is divided into different phases that descale as you progress. There’s also a program for court ordered clients. At the Anok | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I completed this program back in 2008. Absolutely wonderful doctors, councilors, and staff members. The patients I witnessed coming through those doors, came in broken and really sick from a wide variety of medical issues (mostly addiction related). By the time they left, they were healthy, happier, and had sufficient tools to make a full recovery.
I was young and impressionable when I entered their program. The individual care and the loving nature of the staff made the environment warm, comfortable, & safe. I was impressed with how honesty was received there. It was received with open hearts, without fear of judgment or negative criticism. The staff recognized each of us as unique individuals that held great value to society. So many (if not everyone) of us felt worthless and hopeless for the way our culture looks at those who suffer from the progressive and life threatening disease of addiction. Their respect stood out to me and is the primary reason I found the courage to change my life. They also understood the deep suffering that addiction causes and went to any length to help us feel accepted and cared for.
The medical professionals employed there taught us how to live a life of gratitude with purpose. To this day I am still eternally grateful for my experience there.
I would recommend River Place Counciling Center in Elk River MN to anyone who is seeking to heal and recover. Doesn’t matter from what either. What matters is that you show up.
A quick tidbit: I learned all of facts in my journey there. One of them is that our culture is based on materialism and individualism. Which both are the enemies of our soul and the common denominator of our brokenness. It creates division, isolation, and fear. Once I truly understood that, I was never the same. I continued my journey in AA which led to meeting true friends that want the best for me. It also led to a spiritual experience that changed my life forever. There is so much healing, joy, and laughter in recovery, it’s wonderful to experience.
I want to tell the person reading this one very important thing —> Don’t you give up. There is a lot of help and happiness in your future. All you have to do is pick up the phone and call them. You’ll find an army of caring and loving souls excited to meet you. You are unique, strong, smart, talented, and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity in your journey of recovery. 🙏🏼❤️

This is an excellent treatment center. It's out in the country with a ton of wildlife, and a farm next door with emus, ostriches, horses and a zebra(that i didnt see but it was really cold). There are 4 different buildings so you get outside a lot. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They will help you with anything. From legal issues to Healthcare to filling out assistance forms and sending them in. They will bring you to offsite appointments and court dates. (You won't miss important things like a reviewer said) The food is decent, you will gain weight if you eat all the meals and finish them. While I was there we had an awesome community of people that were willing to help any way they could. There was no judgment if you opened up. The counselors are awesome and teach productive groups.
Other people in the program said it was the best treatment center they have ever been to.
The negative reviews are from family or partners that don't understand the person that went here didn't care about getting sober. Were just there for 3 meals and a warm bed. I watched this firsthand.
They have lockers and locking wall closets so it's your fault if something gets stolen. People steal no matter where they are so it's nieve to think it would change just because your in treatment. That's just a part of life sadly. I didn't see or hear that while I was there though.
Cedar Ridge gave me a very solid foundation for recovery and staying sober. Got me into an aftercare program where I wanted as well. Highly recommend to anyone who needs help getting sober and learning to staying sober.
THANK YOU CEDAR RIDGE STAFF!

Princeton you deserve all the praise— I got my redemptive c section birth here!! At a different large hospital 1st was emergent after epically failed induction, 2nd was peaceful and calm but recovery didn’t happen well… SO much nerve pain the narcotics were needed just to get to the bathroom. Incision issues, infection, you name it.
I am 1 day in of Recovery here and can walk BEAUTIFULLY. Not even comparable to the other hospital, night and day difference. No pain, doctors prayed over me (he asked of course) they dimmed the lights, they played worship music and sang along. They held my hand, they let my husband in for the spinal, and they talked me through it all even my mini panic (the spinal always makes me feel like I can’t breathe just for a little bit).
I truly feel like I got my beautiful birth here. I switched cared at 33 weeks felt He called me to this small hospital for sure. They gave me a tap block never was offered this! Worth the hype for difference in recovery! No narcotics needed. Loved every nurse with my whole heart- Dawn, Grace, Dana, and many more. Maria the anesthesiologist you were an angel to me and never left my side during I am so thankful. And Doctor Hallberg thanks for being the first Doctor to listen and truly care for me and my family!!! Blessings to you all.

They offer outpatient talk therapy and an intensive outpatient program (IOP) called Programs for Change. Amery Hospital and Clinic is accredited by The Joint Commission. They have al | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I ended up here after a rough day (a.k.a. life). Ten beds, mostly residents recovering from alcohol or drug use. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food was decent, incredibly large portions.
Staff was kind, caring, and genuine. The big guy who checked me in thanked me for being there. I don’t have family or friends, and that simple kindness meant more than he probably knew.
I was no a fan of the psychiatrist. He seemed offended when I asked if he would coordinate with my regular psychiatrist about my meds. When I said I wasn’t sleeping, he said they do 15-minute checks and I was, which made me feel like my honesty was being questioned. My discharge notes didn’t reflect what I meant when answering questions about self-harm, and I left feeling unheard and invalidated.

I was just there for a week and they make it feel like such a safe place for patients and it definitely felt safe to me. Also the nurses and doctors are very good at what they do and are so open so you can tell them anything. They are all so great at what they do. I appreciate them all, all the ones I’ve met there. Definitely recommend!!

Was a patient at 18 -- they had good burgers, gave me grape juice, and my room was warm and cozy -- 10/10 would go back again

I went here about 4 years ago, my counselor worked super hard along side jack to find the best ways to help me. It took a lot of work to get me to be willing to even try to change but they never gave up on me even after multiple times needing to go to residential and they encouraged me every step of the way. When i finally got sober they were my biggest cheerleaders and still are. Even after my counselor passed away jack has still continued to help me if i’m struggling and need support. I truly don’t believe i would have survived my addiction if i hadn’t come here, they counseled my family through my entire time in outpatient as well as inpatient and helped me build those relationships back. I couldn’t be more grateful for all of hard work and help they gave me! Jack is truly amazing at what he does and i couldn’t recommend this center more!!!
