Finding the right place for my son wasn’t easy, but Heartfelt gave us real hope. The team stayed in touch and guided us even after discharge, which meant a lot. I just hoped for more spiritual elements. Still, they treated my son like a person, not a case file. That alone made a big difference.

I was sick and scared when I arrived, but the transformation that occurred for me during the 80 days I spent on the mountain was nothing short of a miracle.
I quickly recognized that hard work on my part needed to be done, or I'd be miserable and missing out on the gifts of the program. Thankfully, there is an incredible staff in place who walked with me through the introspection I had to do and showed me that recovery was possible. I marked 5 months sober yesterday and I truly believe that God removed my alcoholic obsession while I was on the mountain.
Everyone's experience is different and I can only speak of my own, but I personally could not see myself succeeding as I did in any other facility. I'll be thankful to Green Mountain for the rest of my life.

Horrible hospital in every aspect! Security guards are super rude and equally disrespectful. Billing department has numerous issues , aggressive and very unnecessary collection practices, failing to bill insurance companies properly, including consistently failing to provide itemized bills upon request. Doctors talk about each other in front of anyone! A surgeon while in the hospital was blabbing about a “Dr. Baker“ and his many “surgical screw ups” on a cell phone with the public listening to full conversations (recorded). I was present for a RN that had reeked of fresh ALCOHOL ON HER BREATH WHILE TREATING PATIENTS!!!!!!
Numerous safety and code violations around the hospital including several that are actual Misdemeanors . JCAHO should be ashamed for accreditation for SNHH.
I will be launching a web site/data base shortly to show evidence and provide the public with the avenues to make complaints to the proper authorities w/o favoritism or prejudice. The CEO Colin McHugh of Amherst , must be removed from his position, he has failed this community and his staff. Let’s let Colin , Susan and Michael know change is coming…..soon.
Update 6/7/25
Hmmmm…nobody from patient relations is responding to this review…wonder why…?

One of the worst hospitals I have ever experienced in my life and my mother has been mentally ill a long time. I say this with conviction and honor. My future goal is to make sure this hospital gets shut down. I am working slowly but surely. The mental section hires nurses and staff that frankly do not know how to deal with families or even mental health patience fr. It's just a job to them. My mother is an immigrant and alot of these "nurses" are of either African or Haitian descent coming from a culture that doesn't even recognize mental health. They have no patience for the families of these patients. They are impatient, rude and cold. I have said this before. My mother is mentally ill my whole life. Mc.clean hospital was a heaven sent even the last hospital in JP was a better situation. This hospital needs to be shut down. Or completely restructured. Not just anyone can work with the mentally ill and deal with their overwhelmed defeated tired family members. The nurses or the wings 9 south (from my experience) have 0 to no phone etiquette. Something has to change. I rarely even like visiting my mom because of the way the nurses and staff are.

Great, great place for young men to get back on there feet and a fresh start! The whole program is amazing, staff, facility, especially the food with their own chef cooking! Teachers are exceptional and have experience with special education services. I had been involved with several other facilities before our family got to Center point for young men and was very unhappy with what we went thru, but when we got here this place was 100 percent different and I just don't have enough time for all the good things I can say and the changes it has made in my child's life.

Centerpoint changed our lives for the better! Our families experience at Centerpoint was nothing but positive. We were referred to Centerpoint by the Department of Mental Health after 18 ART/CBAT admissions. I have to admit at first I was hesitant as the program is long term and, no one wants their child away from home for that long. After much deliberation and thought we agreed to the admission. It’s not easy to agree to this level of care, often times heart breaking but, we knew our son was suffering and no other treatment seemed to be effective for longer than a few months. It’s hard work and you are asked to participate in weekly family therapy where you have to be open and honest and tackle all of the issue which lead to this level of care. My son, my husband and I committed ourselves to this and boy did it work. It wasn’t easy, it was emotionally challenging and having to drag up things from the past was less than desirable. We learned how to effectively communicate with each other which was the foundation of our son getting better. If you and your child embrace the program it works!
The staff was always very accommodating, kind, caring and well trained. You can tell that they are experts in their field. Each child is different and they made it their mission to learn our sons behaviors and personality so they could make him feel comfortable, safe and that he could trust them.
Since discharge our son has thrived socially, emotionally and academically. He has learned to use the skills that were taught at Centerpoint which has effectively ended the vicious cycle of short term hospitalization. When considering an IRTP I would strongly recommend Centerpoint!!

This hospital is way better than Nashoba Valley Medical Center was. The snack shop makes delicious burgers and grilled cheeses. I'd give a 5th star but their wine and drink menu left something to be desired. Actually, it was more of a lack of a drink menu that was the problem.

I have not received care from this facility, but I almost did. My review is covering my interaction with the office staff.
I had a therapist named Diana from Ferrera's Counseling in the past that was not a good fit for me. When I politely told her I would like a new therapist she went rogue. My impression is that she bypassed the front desk staff in charge of placing me with a new therapist and even her own boss/my previous therapist just to refer me out to Arbour counseling's php program. Diana had told me the referral was for my usual once-a-week therapy, but she lied. Eventually I got a call from Arbour about a week after, and I was pleasantly surprised because getting mental health care is a hard and long process with all the wait lists etc. The person on the phone said there was a billing issue (I confirmed with my ins company though that there shouldn't have been one) and they were calling to confirm my payment method and that I was going for Partial Hospitalization. I was confused. Upon further discussion the employee stated they did find it odd that I was referred for the program as my notes did not make it seem like I was in or recently out of a crisis. I asked if there was a mix up or misunderstanding, but they elaborated saying the note specifically said "m-f 5 hrs a day" and was signed off by Diana, but not her boss. I had reached out to my previous therapist/ the boss/owner of Ferrera's about this issue, but got no response. There may be no reason to be suspicious of php programs, and it was cool to learn they exist in case I ever needed one, but due to how things unfolded I couldn't help but feel wary of the whole situation. To this day I have no idea what I possibly may have dodged if it weren't for the mystery Arbour employee that was simply doing their job and paying attention. This was an event that happened last summer (2022).
