My experience at Alina Lodge was truly life-changing. When I arrived, I was at one of the lowest points in my life, unsure if recovery was even possible for me. The staff, clinicians, and facilitators welcomed me with compassion, patience, and genuine care. From the very beginning, they created an environment where I felt safe enough to be honest about my struggles and begin the difficult work of recovery.
The clinicians at Alina Lodge are incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated. They helped me understand the underlying causes of my addiction and gave me the tools I needed to start rebuilding my life. The facilitators brought wisdom from their own experiences and guided our groups with empathy and understanding. Every day they showed up committed to helping each of us grow, even when we didn’t believe in ourselves.
Thank you!

I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. I'm writing this for the creative person who thinks rehab is gonna be all lectures and coping skills worksheets and compliance training...or new agey feel good enabling BS. (because I went through that at another place…and I’m a feisty, rebellious performer, who fell all the way to hell through my addiction.)
Moving Mountains is an adventure based program. And that's not just "fun." that’s a major part of the treatment…hiking, skiing, ropes course…Healthy risks…Movement. self Mastery. Making something…learning that I can DO things that make me feel better…They teach you how to deal with crap on the deepest levels, to get it out. So like…in my case…there is less to want to escape. Easier to stay sober. Joy…peace…fun. Stress: life. Tools
Sobriety doesn't have to be gray and grim. It can light up your brain as much as getting high did. I mean that…kinda literally. Skydiving…for real…if you do the work…it’s part of the program. At completion.
It's not a "creative arts program." BUT: creative work is an option. For me it was a key. A Big key. I had no idea how much my creative shutdown and grief were feeding my addiction…really, almost no idea.
I am a singer. And I saw people transform through singing (like me…), guitar, piano, making beats, DJing, poetry, dance, voice work...even building comedy routines. You could literally see someone's eyes and posture shift over days.
The staff are Actually client centered. At Moving mountains, that means you're treated like a human being. Not a diagnosis and not a compliance project. They help you remember want you want, connect you to your dreams again.
They don't “punish you into right thinking.” That’s still a very common approach, I’ve heard from so many people in recovery meetings.
But there are boundaries and clear expectations...because that's what actually leads to an easier, fun life. I was not the easiest client. I had to learn to be patient and respectful…not just to others. To myself.
It's also not 12 step only preaching club. Super strong recovery culture...but you're allowed to explore what works for you, (there's even a Zen teacher who comes!) The housing is for real beautiful and in beautiful communities. Not "nice for rehab." Actually nice.
It's weird to miss rehab. Like a paradox. But I do. My time at Moving Mountains has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

SHOUT OUT to the staff here..I have been to many many rehabs, and there is something different about these people, and this place..they are in my opinion, Earth Angels. I need a higher level of treatment but I will be going to Outpatient there after..
I can't recommend this place enough. I have been here since October 17, 2025 and my experience has been very good since I first got here. The house is very clean and helps to have cleaning service every other week. I was only planning on stay in for 2 months but now I don't have plans to leave anytime soon.
I have lived in a halfway in Del Ray Beach, F.L. a sober cowboy ranch in Washington State, Oxford Houses including one in Rumson, NJ and this is my favorite sober living so far.
It also helps to have a good crew of men that I currently live with. Having two TV rooms, high-end kitchen, high-end W/D, and being tucked away on a side street of nice neighborhood make this experience a worthwhile one during my early recovery.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolutely Exceptional Emergency Department Experience
I wanted to take the time to share the wonderful experience I had at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset Emergency Department.
From the moment I walked through the doors, I was treated with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the entire staff. Even the security guard who greeted me and performed the security check was incredibly kind and welcoming.
My wait was probably five minutes at most before I was taken into a room. From there, the care I received was exceptional.
I especially want to recognize Dr. Raymond Iceberg, who was absolutely amazing. He was caring, attentive, professional, and made me feel like I was truly being listened to and cared for. He is an exceptional doctor, and I am extremely grateful for the way he treated me.
I also want to recognize my wonderful nurses, Maria and Jeffrey, as well as another nurse whose name I unfortunately did not get. I wish I had asked for her name because she deserves to be recognized as well. Every single person who cared for me was patient, kind, and compassionate.
What touched me the most was that from the first person I encountered to the last, everyone genuinely seemed to care. I repeatedly heard, “I hope you feel better,” and it never felt automatic or rehearsed. I truly felt that they meant it.
It honestly did not feel like the typical emergency department experience. I felt comfortable, respected, and very well cared for from beginning to end.
I am surprised to see some of the lower reviews for this emergency department because my personal experience was absolutely five stars. I am also incredibly happy to know that such a wonderful hospital and emergency department are so close to my home.
If you are in the Somerset County area and find yourself needing emergency care, based on my experience, I would absolutely recommend Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset Emergency Department.
To Dr. Iceberg, Maria, Jeffrey, the wonderful nurse whose name I wish I had gotten, the security staff, and everyone else who helped care for me: thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness made a scary situation so much easier, and I truly appreciate each and every one of you. ❤️
Five stars without hesitation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Doylestown, PA | Aldie Counseling Center provides substance abuse and mental health treatment in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. They offer intensive outpatient and general outpatient services to provide more flexibility for those who want to live at home and continue attending school or working while getting treatment. Your recovery starts with an initial assessment to | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I've never written a review for anything before but I know how difficult finding help can be as well as how difficult recovery can be and so I feel like it may help someone if I throw in my two cents. This place is amazing. Everyone there, literally every single person I have had interaction with there, has been wonderful. They are all friendly, non-judgmental and sincere. They started calling me by my first name after only a few visits. I went there after an truly awful rehab experience so I was braced for more difficulties but the staff makes everything as easy and comfortable as is possible, under the circumstances. I've gone being going there for several months now for medication and counseling/mental health therapy and it's been a great experience. Don't hesitate to go here or to send your loved ones here. Recovery can be rough but this place does everything in their power to make it as painless as possible. Just go into it with a good attitude and each day will be a little better than the day before til one day you'll realize that you are in a new and better place.
