My experience at Alina Lodge was truly life-changing. When I arrived, I was at one of the lowest points in my life, unsure if recovery was even possible for me. The staff, clinicians, and facilitators welcomed me with compassion, patience, and genuine care. From the very beginning, they created an environment where I felt safe enough to be honest about my struggles and begin the difficult work of recovery.
The clinicians at Alina Lodge are incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated. They helped me understand the underlying causes of my addiction and gave me the tools I needed to start rebuilding my life. The facilitators brought wisdom from their own experiences and guided our groups with empathy and understanding. Every day they showed up committed to helping each of us grow, even when we didn’t believe in ourselves.

I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. I'm writing this for the creative person who thinks rehab is gonna be all lectures and coping skills worksheets and compliance training...or new agey feel good enabling BS. (because I went through that at another place…and I’m a feisty, rebellious performer, who fell all the way to hell through my addiction.)
Moving Mountains is an adventure based program. And that's not just "fun." that’s a major part of the treatment…hiking, skiing, ropes course…Healthy risks…Movement. self Mastery. Making something…learning that I can DO things that make me feel better…They teach you how to deal with crap on the deepest levels, to get it out. So like…in my case…there is less to want to escape. Easier to stay sober. Joy…peace…fun. Stress: life. Tools
Sobriety doesn't have to be gray and grim. It can light up your brain as much as getting high did. I mean that…kinda literally. Skydiving…for real…if you do the work…it’s part of the program. At completion.
It's not a "creative arts program." BUT: creative work is an option. For me it was a key. A Big key. I had no idea how much my creative shutdown and grief were feeding my addiction…really, almost no idea.
I am a singer. And I saw people transform through singing (like me…), guitar, piano, making beats, DJing, poetry, dance, voice work...even building comedy routines. You could literally see someone's eyes and posture shift over days.
The staff are Actually client centered. At Moving mountains, that means you're treated like a human being. Not a diagnosis and not a compliance project. They help you remember want you want, connect you to your dreams again.
They don't “punish you into right thinking.” That’s still a very common approach, I’ve heard from so many people in recovery meetings.
But there are boundaries and clear expectations...because that's what actually leads to an easier, fun life. I was not the easiest client. I had to learn to be patient and respectful…not just to others. To myself.
It's also not 12 step only preaching club. Super strong recovery culture...but you're allowed to explore what works for you, (there's even a Zen teacher who comes!) The housing is for real beautiful and in beautiful communities. Not "nice for rehab." Actually nice.
It's weird to miss rehab. Like a paradox. But I do. My time at Moving Mountains has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

Not all Recovery or Rehabilitation Centers are created equal. BlueCrest is a special place where the counselors, clinicians, and the entire staff genuinely care about everyone’s recovery.
The recommendations given to each client are specific to their needs and are built with purpose; out of love and care.
The accommodations are very comfortable, but not luxurious. Just enough “no-frills” to feel the humility but also safe, clean, and makes you feel at home. Everyone cooks together and comes together as a community in the houses.
The groups and content are engaging and can get quite deep; yet also contain the right amount of fun, relaxation, and meditation to sooth the soul.
I highly recommend BlueCrest Recovery Center to anyone who is serious about recovery, and wants to stay sober indefinitely!

Morristown, NJ | You’ll find Atlantic Health Systems at Morristown Medical Center in the heart of Morristown, New Jersey. They are a hospital with substance abuse and co-occurring disorder treatment for adults and adolescents. It’s accessible via the state NJ Transit System, so you can easily reach the facility without worrying about parking. Stabilizat | Treatments Programs Payment Options | The first time I came to Morristown medical center I had a pancreatitis attack (I have a well documented history of chronic pancreatitis with countless hospitalizations) For those who know, it’s up there with the worst pain in the world. I could hardly walk, speak, move. I’m in the Atlantic health system so it’s very documented, even though my prior hospitalizations weren’t in Morristown.
I was placed in a hallway and my phone was taken (I wasn’t on it, just texting…is this legal?) and was treated like a drug seeking criminal. I had to AMA myself and swiftly got pulled over by Morristown PD pulling out, which was fun. I followed up with the hospital and they said they “don’t take patients phones” but that was a flat out lie. I ended up driving to Valley in Paramus the next morning.
Fast forward a few months later I had an awful attack and also had pneumonia. I was in the icu for three weeks, luckily my mom brought me in (I’m 38) so for some reason I was taken seriously this time.
I had two other pancreatitis attacks since then, both resulting in 2-5 day stays and the nurses and staff were caring and wonderful. I take these reviews like any “business” with a grain of salt because you don’t know who you are getting that day. I had an awful experience and the next two were decent. Maybe it was the doctor in the ER that night with a bias because many pancreatic problems are linked to alcohol? I have no idea. Wonderful nurses though.

I can’t say enough good things about Jonathan from Excel . From the moment I started working with him, he made me feel genuinely comfortable and welcomed, which is not easy when you’re dealing with something as personal as addiction. Phenomenal ER Experience at Overlook Medical Center
I recently had an experience at the ER at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ, and I truly want to recognize the wonderful staff who took care of me.
Brian, my nurse, was absolutely phenomenal. He was incredibly caring, patient, and gentle. He listened to all of my concerns and made me feel comfortable, safe, and completely at ease during what could have been a very stressful experience. He also did my IV perfectly—I barely felt the needle! He is truly a professional and a wonderful nurse.
Before leaving, Brian introduced me to Edmond, another RN who was also extremely caring and had an excellent bedside manner. I felt very well cared for by both of them.
The doctor was also wonderful. They took the time to listen to my concerns and my needs, and I felt that I was treated with compassion and respect throughout my visit.
The only thing I noticed was that there wasn’t much room in the ER, and I did have to wait in the hallway. However, even with that, the staff continued to treat me exceptionally well and made sure I was comfortable and cared for.
Overall, my experience was phenomenal. I am extremely grateful to Brian, Edmond, the doctor, and the entire ER team for their kindness, professionalism, and compassion. ❤️
I would definitely recommend Overlook Medical Center. The ER staff was wonderful, and I truly appreciate everything they did for me!

SHOUT OUT to the staff here..I have been to many many rehabs, and there is something different about these people, and this place..they are in my opinion, Earth Angels. They worked seamlessly with our midwife and doula, and we always felt informed, supported, and genuinely cared for.
Every nurse, doctor, and support staff member we encountered was incredibly kind, compassionate, and attentive. It truly felt like each person genuinely loved what they do and cared deeply about welcoming little ones into the world.
We are so grateful to everyone at Chilton Labor & Delivery for helping make the birth of our little one such a positive experience. We would absolutely consider birthing here again and would highly recommend Chilton Labor & Delivery!

We ended up at Chilton because it was closest to our emergency, not our local hospital. We had some issues in the ER. But after being admitted, the care we recieved 6 days in the ICU and 2 days in a regular room were absolutely amazing. The ICU team is absolutely top notch, they helped my husband recover AND took amazing care of me. They were attentive, caring, and went above and beyond their job role to take care of all of us. There are too many names to name, but all of the nurses, PCTs, and doctors were unmatched. Even the workers in the cafeteria and cafe cared and comforted me greatly. I am grateful we ended up there.

I recently had a short stay at Chilton for a surgical procedure, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The surgical team was highly professional and put my mind at ease before the operation. During my recovery, the nurses and staff in 5 West were incredibly responsive, checking on my pain levels and ensuring I had everything I needed. The hospital rooms were very clean and comfortable, and even the food was surprisingly good, a musician even came and played for me. I felt completely safe and in excellent hands here."

Although they’re only outpatient care, they do offer several levels of outpatient care, including standard outpatien | Treatments Programs Payment Options | High Focus Centers of Parsippany is an absolutely amazing place. I can’t say enough wonderful things about High Focus. When I first came here I didn’t know what to expect or really didn’t think it would help me but I was wrong. High Focus has helped me in more ways than I could ever expect. Every single staff member that works there was so helpful, supportive, and understanding throughout my time there. Throughout my time here, I have learned so much knowledge, coping skills, and life skills that I will use in my life. One thing I especially appreciated and loved about High Focus was how the program was structured as during the PHP portion in the morning, everyone would come together in the large room and then during the IOP portion in the afternoon, patients ages 18-30 would go in the smaller room for the first two groups while adults ages 30 and up would be in the larger room. For the final group of the day, Mental Health and Substance Use patients were separated into two different rooms as Mental Health would be in the larger room as Substance Use would be in the smaller room. I really appreciated that because it allowed people to be around others who were experiencing similar struggles and could also relate to what they were going through. For the first time in a long time I truly have a positive mindset and feel like I have the skills and tools I can use when I am having a bad day or a bad time in my life. I am so grateful that I found High Focus and that I did this program. I highly recommend going to High Focus in Parsippany because it will truly help you. Trust me you will not regret it!!!!!

I don't understand the negative reviews for this place. We found getting registered and placed with someone easy and accommodating. Kelly is AMAZING! I have not had positive experiences in the past with therapists, but she is the absolute best. She's "real," she listens, she is amazing at planning a session but also pivoting if necessary. I can't say enough good things about her!
