I have been receiving medical treatment at Lyons and East Orange for over 12 years.. and have interacted with many medical professionals and staff.. in any large hospital setting, you will encounter dedicated people and sometimes, some that are just not smart enough to gargle. I recently had shoulder surgery and I rate it 5 stars 110%. Drs, nurses, staff were outstanding and the scheduling was perfect. God Bless all those who take care of us veterans at both hospitals.

I can only speak on what services I have used in the last year which is their labor and delivery which was 10/10, highly recommend delivering there if you are a low risk pregnancy (no nicu) the staff were so friendly and helpful. Their laboratory services were also amazing!! We had blood work done on our one year old and the staff were friendly and did an amazing job making our baby feel comfortable. They took us on time and had awesome availability for working people. Highly recommend Riverview for these services.

I delivered my son here in 2024. My Obgyn was excellent and he did a wonderful job with my C-section. The only reason why I’m giving four stars is because during my recovery although overall everyone was very kind and helpful. There was one nurse that I had for two days. (My fault should have requested someone else) And I remember every single time she came in she had a nasty attitude like she didn’t wanna help. Once in the middle of the night I needed help going to the bathroom because first of all getting out of the bed by yourself a day after surgery and even being able to pull down, underwear is excruciating and I don’t think they understand that… clearly not… And I remember it was about 3 AM and she was like “what”? And refused to help me in the bathroom and just stared and left. I remember crying from pain and just slowly crawling into bed hysterically. I’ll never forget how crappy she was. I was in horrible pain… hopefully they understand that this type of energy isn’t acceptable for patients out of surgery.

I was in for shoulder surgery. Everything went well. The care that was given by the staff, nurses, etc.. professional, attentive and caring! TY!

Sean is an amazing clinician who recently worked with our family member. As a very young adult, our family member needed someone who could call them out on the truth and still be empathetic, relatable, and very caring. We know this journey is a process, and we feel fortunate to have had Serenity and Sean on our team. I believe certain people come into your life for a reason, and I believe Sean is one of those people - someone who has had a positive impact. We are all grateful!

Sean one of the clinicians, is the kind of therapist who doesn't sugarcoat things-and that's exactly what makes this place so effective! He sees straight through the excuses and games that come with addiction and holds you accountable in a way that actually pushes you toward change. Excellent therapists who seem to really care. From time of intake until you are actually assigned a therapist was quite fast. The therapists are compassionate and experienced.

The new owners, Patrick and Michael, are some of the most genuine, caring people I’ve met. They have both been part of the recovery community and understand the needs of patients to provide the best care possible. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone who is in need of a professional recovery center.

Relevance Treatment Center was a necessary step in my recovery to secure sobriety and live a life worth living. Their PHP, IOP programs helped me to regain tools and skills to support my mental & physical health. I have been struggling very much and when I arrived, I was met with the upmost respect, care, support and kindness. It is a comfortable & safe environment for those struggling with mental health issues, substance addictions, etc. and it is all owed to the loving staff. In their own respective manners, the amazingly sweet receptionist LeaAnn made the environment feel warm and friendly from the very beginning, she always said good morning and how is your day, truly caring about how you felt and being honest, it was hard for her not to make your day better. The technician and maintenance team involving the hilarious and comforting Joe & Rob would always find a solution to any of our needs and make us priority #1, yet would always have some time to talk and joke around with us during our groups in between groups. They are tremendous and I thank them for making rough days better. Words cannot describe the level of care and effort put by the clinical team, but Chelsea, Gracie, Henry, Monika, Josh, Julie & Victoria (Both case managers who helped individual clients with housing, financial, income, etc.) were monumental in my recovery and ability to cope with my issues in life. I am grateful for the work they do and their passion behind every intent. I felt validated everyday and I cannot thank them enough. The medical team including Dr. Paul Gazzara, nurse practitioner Latifah Oparison & Nurse Patty were incredibly helpful and understanding in the medications that were necessary for me in my beginning stages of recovery. Everyone in the admissions team including John, Gina, Dan & Tabitha made the initial steps very easy to grasp and helped throughout the way. They helped majorly ease any financial burden. Clinical directors Jess & Melanie deal with a lot of work and not often did I see them, yet they always made time for anyone to come and talk about any issues or just to have a conversation with them. They are incredibly kind and amazing at their field of work, they care and I am very grateful. Would definitely recommend for those who have or are currently with mental health/substance abuse. In my experience of rehab centers, detox, sober living, this has been one of the greatest.

Despite after reading some negative reviews, both my daughter, Elizabeth, and I cannot say enough about Relavance ! From the first phone call I received from Gina, & completing my intake with Leah Ryan, on 2/10/25, both my daughter, and I knew, this was the solution for me to get better.❤️‍🩹 From day one, everyone in this facility made me feel welcomed, important, and not to mention , safe enough to open up, share my heartaches, without being judge or embarrassed. I have learned so much about myself, and for the first time, in a very long time, not only am I “Worthy,” but I am “Important,” and I don’t need a supplement of any kind to achieve this. When people say, “First impressions mean the most,” what I experienced on my first day. It made all the difference to my world. I have, and will continue to recommend Relevance House in Freehold New Jersey, to anyone who is seeking help. “I’m not just a spokesperson, I am a client 😜” Did I mention most of the staff got my sense of humor. Great program

My name is Gabriel and I’ve been to more than one rehab. I have to say I was impressed by soba. The facility is very nice but the staff and other clients it what made this place so impressive to me. The staff cleaned me up when I was sick and filthy mentally physically and in the end it hit me spiritually. When I say I was sick I was seriously withdrawing from my drug of choice fentanyl cut with xyzlazine and the whole step of my journey the staff was with me and the other clients welcomed me and understood what I was going through and supported me as well. Addiction is hell but hell is not addictive. If the truth hurts then the lies wont faze you. Be open honest and concise when it comes to focusing on repairing yourself and what you’ve broken because life is short and using my DOC is living in the fast lane slow down breath and see what’s really going on. Godbless

Save our brothers ass 10/10

This was my 3rd time in treatment and my experience here was wonderful! I have learned much more here about my addiction than the first 2. The staff, the nurses, the clinicians, the techs, Hov, Ryan, Ry, Jessica, Jen, Pat, Cara, Rashida, Matt, Louis, Rich, Scott, Justin…to name a few, were always accommodating. The food ….Oh My! Amazing Mike C. is the best. You will never want for nothing. Thank you so much Soba for your help and support in my recovery. I am now over 1 year and 3 months sober. Supportive and non judgement staff at Brentwood location. Very clean and group sessions were great. They truly make you feel like a human being a person. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Absolutely the best facility and most caring people I’ve ever come across. Shout out to everyone at the nurses station for holding it down for me when I was at my lowest. I am not a fan of any facility whatsoever but these guys genuinely do it right. Can’t thank y’all enough. Best nursing staff ever

I was real nervous to come here at first, but the staff made it real comfortable for me real fast! Clara is a godsend and such a beautiful soul kept checking in on me every time she came in for her shift kept telling me “you can do this, one day at a time” Jen and Glen the nurses were amazing, also all the techs were real cool def made you feel good, if you need any help def check out sunrise in stirling! You won’t be disappointed, thanks again guys you changed my life love you all!

High Focus came into my life at the right time. I was really hurting and dealing with major depression due to some tough life circumstances. High Focus gave me my life back. Their staff was so welcoming and kind. My clinician Taylor was so incredibly helpful and challenged me in all the right ways to get the growth I needed out of the programs. The groups were educational, foundational, and very easy to understand. I leaned so much in my time there. I couldn't recommend High Focus enough to anyone struggling. If you put in the work, High Focus can work for you! :)

I just want to say that if you have any trauma, anxiety, depression or addiction issues please do yourself the favor and look into high focus for the mental health your seeking they are all amazing and the clients are all supportive and make you feel like your not alone... I would recommend high focus of freehold to any/everyone... you all help save me and words can not express that enough. THANK YOU

High Focus has been pivotal to my success in understanding, as well as coping with my mental health. I have gone through the program twice in 5 years and this time around was fantastic. Kellie my clinician was excellent, she was compassionate, understanding, and really pushed me when I desperately needed to be pushed. All the clinicians who ran the groups were fantastic, Karyn, Ashley, Taylor, Kellie, Kendall, you all have made such positive impacts on my life. I can’t recommend high focus enough to those out there who are struggling mentally. I’ve been through Princeton house prior, and High Focus is far and away the best program around.

The Drs and entire staff were phenomenal. Completely thorough, organized and proactive. They eased my anxiety with their friendliness and approachability. They all made me feel safe and in great hands. With the help of Dr Lopez and entire, Jersey Shore Medical Center I’ve found a safe place to land for any conditions moving forward

The Cardiac care department was extremely helpful professional caring , Dr Litskey crew was incredibly proficient, Nurse Taylor was very efficient and professional, as were the complete staff, Thank you all.

Fantastic facilities. My daughter had surgery and they took such good care of her. She's only 6 months old and she had them all wrapped around her finger. Her post-op surgery recovery nurse, Barbara Johnson, was absolutely phenomenal with her. Everyone on her care team made this momma feel slightly more comfortable with my little going under anesthesia.

I had an amazing experience here Scott was my case manager and he was amazing he helped me so much to accomplish so many things I would not be sober today if it wasn't for him!!!!

I believe this program benefited me in so many ways, Scott & Alesha went above and beyond in my recovery and i am so grateful to them for hearing my concerns and accommodating them. Overall i give this facility 5/5 stars. Alesha and Scott deserve 8/5 stars for how they ran groups and making sure everyone was comfortable and genuinely caring about everyones recovery!

I experienced the MOST caring group of professionals, The nursing staff, every single one of those nurses in my opinion, deserve a raise. They put up with people coming in off the street after being on a drinking or a drug binge, some uncooperative due to going through withdrawal, some of them get their mouth going and cuss the staff out, the staff keeps a smile on their face and keeps it professional, They have a lot of patience to deal with people that are intoxicated like that. I have to give a shout out to Desiree, she is absolutely one of the nicest people that I’ve ever met in my life, the nurse that was on the night shift Wednesday 9-24-2025 into Thursday 9-25-2025. I can’t remember her name, she is great, Denise is another professional, They were absolutely excellent in everything they do. The food was good. The portions were plentiful the behavioral health technicians if you had a question or a problem or needed an answer to a question they were right on top of it if they were tied up doing something else and they said I’ll get right back to you. They got right back to us. The client advocate coordinator. Richard is one of the nicest men I’ve ever met in my life. I give a double thumbs up to Discovery Institute and to the staff and I must repeat myself. The nursing staff puts up with a lot of people coming in that are intoxicated. They’re high coming off alcohol coming off of drugs and they just deal with everybody on an individual basis. I’ve been at a couple different facilities and I don’t want to say the other facilities name. Wanna review for you guys but you’re right up there with the other facility that I was at incredible people that gave incredible care thank you Discovery for saving my life.

Everyone there is great and very friendly, always there to help and support. Quick to give a lending hand and get you started on your new journey to recovery!

Let me start by saying I did NOT believe in group type therapy. That all changed when I walked through the doors of this facility. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and truly care about every single patient. I was a mess walking in and was discharged with the tools needed to become a much better me. Trust the process! I can’t say enough good things about High Focus (Cranford location). Thank you to everyone involved there!!

Amazing place really made a difference in my life.I’ve been here since February recently turned 20 in August and it’s just a great place all around they actually care about you and want you to truly do good ,it’s a blessing to have other people who are there for u mentally and care for you and your recovery process!

By far the best place around. If your serious about your recovery, this is the place. It’s not just all about the medication, it’s about the staff as well. My counselor, Sharece T saved my life. She goes above and beyond the call of duty and treats people as an individual, not a group, because we’re all different. She really took the time to get to know me and get to the root of the problem and checks up regularly to see if everything’s going well. I’ve been to many places, doctors, meetings and rehabs. No one has ever understood me better, witch is very important in recovery so you can be treated accordingly. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m extremely grateful and blessed for my counselor Sharece. A huge thanks to this organization and most importantly, my counselor.

2025: Went here for a second opinion from Dr. John Halperin -- Neuroscience. He reviewed the previous results and performed some additional testing. Thus far we are impressed with his opinion. Will update after the test results are in and he renders his final opinion.

I can just speak to the job of emergency services. The entire medcal staff was top notch- kind, understanding and professional. I cannot say enough positive about the security staff! They helped us maneuver in and out of the building and were the nicest most helpful in every aspect! Ten stars for them if I could! Overall a most positive experience during a difficult time.

My son droped me here after years of strugglin... Now look at me. One year clean. God bless them folks at the recovery cnt. They care like family.

SHOUT OUT to the staff here..I have been to many many rehabs, and there is something different about these people, and this place..they are in my opinion, Earth Angels. No judgement, they really just want to help and are good humans! Also, the way they go about treatment, I felt really cared about , from the 1st day. I need a higher level of treatment but I will be going to Outpatient there after.. I can't recommend this place enough. They have no hard chairs that your ass goes numb from sitting in for hours, they have leather, lazy boy chairs, in the entire place, they have a quite room where you can rest if you are detoxing or dont feel good, they feed you great food, they have snacks and sodas and I was literally told "think of this place as your home away from home" and from the clinical staff, the nursing staff, the Dr., they're all special people. xoxoxoxo
