Honestly, everything is still a blur as my brain has to reprogram. I went through the procedures in February 2025 and have been free of my vices since then.
As I wrote, I dont remember much but an feeling of safety and the kindness offered by the entire staff. The nursing staff was always there to ensure that the procedure was painless. There was no pressure, just peace.
The food service was impeccable and I did not want for anything. Food was delivered by the food service staff promptly and efficiently.
This was the best thing that I could have done.

I am so grateful for being lead to this facility.

New vision has been the most caring and attentive for my Suboxone withdrawal and recovery. They are also helping with aftercare (in and out of treatment) along with housing/food services once discharged.
Matt & Taylor have gone above and beyond for me and all other staff have been amazing.
Thank you to everyone at this facility for a comfortable and low stress experience. I can never thank you all enough for your kindness and willingness to listen.
I would recommend this facility to anyone going through any kind of detox. You will not be disappointed.

I rarely write reviews, but I had to write on my experience at Jefferson Hospital and their New Vision Withdrawal department. I had called New Vision and spoke with Matt. Matt went above & beyond to get me in here the same day I called. I thought I wasn't going to get in because of no beds available, but Matt got me in!
When I first came in, I was a mess, crying hysterically and felt loss. Matt, had done the intake with me and I went outside to have my last cigarette before admission with Matt. Matt told me his story and how he made it, I felt hopeless at the time but when Matt got me situated in the room, I was feeling a little more comfortable.
The nurses, technicians and doctors are great! They helped me with my time as I was withdrawing. They are very friendly, kind and are amazing. I went through hell with my withdrawal, and they were there every step of the way to make me comfortable and to help me detox. Although I had support from family, I felt supported in here. Words can't express how this facility comforted me and encouraged me to stop doing what I was doing.
My doctor (Dr. Rancier) was awesome with me, and showed the care I wanted and needed. I felt like he understood me and worked with me.
But going back to Matt, who was there for me the entire time and would come up to check in with me. He felt like a friend and someone who cared. He had gone above & beyond for me, making sure I was taken care of and that I would receive my aftercare after leaving the facility. If Matt ever sees this review, thank you for saving my life and taking me in. Without you, I would still be on the same road of destruction.
Other than my express about these amazing people, the hospital is very clean, sanitized and well kept. The food is good and had some good TV channels.
If you are looking to withdrawal and get clean, please, PLEASE come to New Vision at Jefferson Hospital in Stratford, NJ. As you will be treated amazingly and you won't feel like you're going through it alone. They will take care of you and help you detox with ease.
Thank you again Jefferson Hospital and New Vision Withdrawal Management in Stratford, NJ.

My treatment here was absolutely a success. I came here highly depressed with a negative outlook on life with zero hope. In combination with group therapy and individual therapy, my whole perspective was changed. I’m leaving here refreshed and ready for what life has in store for me. This will determine if you need full time ca | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Listen, I am a total mess most of the time due to my catastrophizing things. I make everything start at worst case scenario hoping it doesn't stay there but unfortunately it sometimes does. Im not going to give you a play by play or some incredible testimony because my story is still going strong but I've come a very long way and I 💯 give my counselor, Susan, alot of credit for sticking by me even bk in the beginning when I would be nasty and childish towards her and ill never forget when she told me that she was just waiting for me to be ready. * full disclosure im a garbage head and at the time I needed rehab terribly. And she was so patient and calm n it drove me nuts. Until one day, I walked into her office and said im ready. And from that chair in her office I left for rehab right away thanks to a combined effort of the staff, Will a former employee but mainly through her approach over months. I've had several wonderful things happen since then but most importantly I finally won my 3 year battle with CPS and gained joint custody of my son back. Now, don't get it twisted, I am far from a shiney happy person now. I've got major struggles right now but ever since that day she can't get rid of me off her caseload. Mainly because secretly im her favorite.😄 but i won't let them switch me because Susan really does care about her clients and I am sure of it for many reasons. If Susan isn't you're counselor you're missing out. And because of her this center gets a 5 star 🌟 rating from me. Which, btw, NEVER happens.

Located in Medford, New Jersey, Pinelands Recovery Center offers inpatient and outpatient treatment for young adults and adults with alcohol and substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders. They are recognized by the Joint Commission. Pinelands accepts most commercial insurance plans. They do not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans. Their | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I don’t even know where to start. Pinelands Recover Center of Medford truly saved my life. When I walked through those doors, I never thought recovery was possible for me. I was broken, scared, and convinced I couldn’t change. But from the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by the most caring, compassionate, and supportive team I’ve ever met. I got hit with the “welcome to the Ritz!” 🤣 IYKYK
The staff at Pinelands didn’t just treat me like a patient, they treated me like a person. Once you tell people you’re an addict, people never look at you the same but every single person went above and beyond to help me heal, rebuild, and believe in myself again. The facility was spotless and peaceful, and the food was really really good (seriously, better than I ever expected!). Everyone I spoke with there said that this is the best facility they’ve ever been to. It’s nice! I’m serious!!
I hid my disease from absolutely everybody, my family, friends and fiancé. I honestly feel like I got so lucky finding this place. Pinelands gave me something I never thought I’d have - a real second chance at life. Today, I’m almost 9 months sober. I also just got married a few weeks back and can honestly cry tears of pure happiness (actually happened this morning) because I’m living the life I once thought was impossible.
I remember reading reviews for this place before entering, so hopefully my review can help someone else like me 🩵 If you’re struggling, please believe me when I say this: if I can do it, anyone can. Pinelands gave me hope, STRENGTH, bravery and freedom. They helped me become the person I was always meant to be.
I seriously freaking love you guys. You all will forever hold a special place in my heart. The job is NOT easy 🤣 you guys are the true unsung heroes!!!
Much respect & forever grateful!!

Today's marks my 4 year sober anniversary and it all started with Seabrook. I went when COVID was everywhere and unfortunately after a week about half of the staff was out due to testing positive. Even with half of the staff gone, the rest of the staff did everything and anything they could to help those who truly accepted it. You're able to see people from all walks of life, different backgrounds and of all ages struggle to find peace within themselves and know you're not alone. The speakers who come are extremely powerful with their raw true stories about addiction BUT also more importantly about how they're recovering and kept fighting for themselves. I had no idea what to expect when I went as it was my first time getting help and even acknowledging I needed it. Going to Seabrook and getting sober was the absolute best thing I ever did for myself. Life can be hard but it's not attacking you personally. Once you start to heal yourself, you see more of the beauty in the world and in people. There's way and I mean way more good people than bad. They want to see you succeed and just be happy. Those people are everywhere and once you clear the fog(drugs) from your mind and body you will find them. You then become those who helped you and you get to help others just by staying sober and showing it can happen. I know you guys will be open once again to help those who need it. I have so much love for all of you and thank you for never giving up on us even when it's hard. I am a recovering alcoholic and today I have 4 years sober. I have a new career, an amazing fiance and my life is just beginning. Never give up and know you're not alone. Zoom meetings are 24/7 and they're tons of communities online. You got this! 😀❤️

I went to sunrise 6/7 for the first time ever and I don’t regret a single thing about. Never been to detox before but the people who work there actually care about you and want you to get better. I was also suffering from gait abnormality and balance and coordination issues so they transferred me to Wyndmoor Hills for Physical therapy and once I'm discharged well before I'm discharged, I'll pick a rehab facility for inpatient treatment.Wish me luck.

I myself had an amazing experience at Gaudenzia from the moment I walked in the door everyone was very welcoming and extremely concerned for my overall well being not just my detox but also my mental state seeing that detoxing from Fentanyl and opiates takes a definite toll on my mental health as well. I found ALL the nurses to be extremely efficient and very well trained and the nurses at Gaudenzia actually really cared about how I was feeling mentally, emotionally and physically and took the time to talk to me about how I was feeling and if I was feeling safe and cared for in their family setting. My Social worker was Ms. Carnita Washington and when I was asked NOT TOLD to go and speak with her I was still experiencing withdrawal seeing it was only my second day and after sitting and talking with her I felt emotionally and physically SO much better! I've sat with many Social workers and have never felt that even one cared at all about what I was going through until a few seconds into speaking with Ms. Washington, she really cared and was very encouraging about my detox and my recovery.. The house managers were amazing as well! Each one took the time to make sure I was eating and getting on well and when I wasn't feeling confident about myself and my recovery they could just tell and took their time to talk with me and to remind me that I do have the strength to continue with what I started. I felt not only cared for but actually loved, yes I said loved! When no other facility would take me they did and all I had to do was ring the bell at the front door, oh and it was 3 am when they welcomed me in and fed me and made sure I had everything that I needed ❤️ made me very well aware of my rights as a client (which had never happened before) and after my completion staff personally walked me out, hugged me and told me that they're there if I needed them again and again ❤️ Between their professionalism and real concern and care I give Gaudenzia a five star review! I've had a rough go through addiction and have been to many detox facilities throughout the last 20 plus years and can honestly say that I found Gaudenzia to be the absolute best! If it's either you or a loved one who wants to detox and get their life back this is the place to find firm grounding into recovery! YOU can do it, you'd be very surprised to find out just how strong you really are when you have amazing people in your life. All you need to do is dig deep and find yourself again, you're still in there, I promise you ❤️ Gaudenzia will personally help you in every way, just go and do it! I cannot thank them all enough for helping me reclaim my life❤️

Westmont, New Jersey | Starting Point is an alcohol and drug rehab center for adults in Haddon Township, New Jersey. They provide mental health and addiction recovery services through outpatient programs including education, referrals and community resources. Something unique about this facility is that their recovery treatment is based on a series of support group meeti | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Rethinking the Role of Traditional Recovery Programs
For years, Starting Point has primarily served as a conduit for channeling donations and clients into its system—often labeling individuals for life without providing a genuine path toward recovery. This mirrors a troubling pattern seen in parts of the medical industry, where the focus is less on healing and more on sustaining business operations.
After working with Vince D. for over three decades, it’s become evident that the organization’s true priority has been extracting value from clients—whether through their time, financial contributions, or billable services. As a nonprofit, conversations tend to center around what's considered the "standard of care," a framework that may protect from liability but falls short of fostering real, individualized growth.
Much like hospital systems that pressure doctors to bill every possible insurance code to appease accountants—or risk termination—this model emphasizes financial survival over human transformation. Vince, now more than 20 years past his expected retirement, seems more invested in building intergenerational wealth than in helping clients reach sustainable healing or independence. Your well-being often becomes secondary to what you can offer the organization.
There Are Alternatives—And They're Empowering
You have the power to pursue meaningful, self-directed growth. Explore AI-powered therapy platforms and free online tools designed to build emotional resilience, self-discipline, and life skills. These resources often deliver what traditional models fail to: true empowerment and lasting change.
For motivation and mindset development, turn to the timeless teachings of Jim Rohn—available for free on YouTube. He was the mentor behind Tony Robbins’ early success, offering foundational insights without the inflated costs and marketing hype.
Consider reading or watching "The Pleasure Trap" by Dr. Doug Lisle, which explores the psychology of behavior change and the hidden forces shaping your decisions. It’s a must-read for anyone seeking long-term transformation.
If you're currently under psychiatric care, be informed: many psychiatric medications are known to blunt emotional range and clarity—sometimes referred to as a "chemical lobotomy." Always weigh the risks and benefits carefully and seek second opinions when needed.
Lastly, examine how nutrition impacts both mental and physical health. Documentaries like "The Game Changers" highlight the benefits of a plant-based diet and its potential to enhance energy, mood, and overall well-being.
The path to recovery doesn't need to be paved with dependency. You deserve tools, not just treatment—growth, not just management.

Angela Baxter is the single greatest asset this facility has on hand.
She is the most personable, down to Earth, and overall amazing therapist I've ever had the pleasure of working with, and I've been in and out of therapy like people are in and out of their local Wawa (s).
She has a unique ability to put her clients at ease with humor. She utilizes laughter and good vibes to ensure that everyone she works with feels safe and at home.
Her talents know no bounds. Have you ever seen her type? Roadrunner, take note 📝
I cannot say enough good about this saintly woman. Before I worked with her, I was lost. After I worked with Angela Baxter, I was found.
Go to this place just for her alone.

I'm proud to say I'm a former client of Mrs. Baxter's.

I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to come here. Bri did everything she could to help with FMLA and short term disability. Katie was always available, and made me feel comfortable to share with her the things I need to work on.I was very surprised to receive this amount of individual attention. I was never brushed off or made to feel like anyone was “too busy”. Housing was well maintained and comfortable. Anytime something was needed within the house either a tech, or even Bri and Katie would give us a ride to a nearby store. Highly recommended to anyone seeking a PHP. Thank you Harmony! Keep doing what you’re doing. I’m still sober. 4 months and 2 weeks. But I was amazed how a therapist and case manager took us to get food for housing when needed. I worked in this business. That is not in their job description. Above and beyond.

Harmony was such a blessing to me. The clinical staff, especially one person in particular, Katie, the group facilitater was phenomenal. She was very transparent and relatable. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have completed the program. Thanks to her educating me and continued support, I can proudly say today I have 5 and a half months clean. My son and I thank you for saving my life!

I feel as though Solstice is an extremely therapeutic environment. It helps me with my mental illness, putting my life into perspective and to mature and grow. I have been in counseling since I was 12 years old only to find out that I grew old and never grew up. Solstice has begun the process to help me grow up. Thank you to the whole Solstice team, especially my counselor Morgan.
