The first time I came to the VA I was nervous and disappointed with my provider. I felt uncomfortable making an appointment to come back. So I asked for a new provider and I could not be happier, everything I said was heard and immediately addressed. My mental health was declining I told my provider this and she had me in with a counselor the same day. The ladies at the front desk have always shown so much respect and are very patient with me. This is the place to have your kids. My wife and I have been through this process 3 time now ( 1x Thompson Hospital, 1x Florida, 1x Potsdam Hospital) and this hospital blew all the others out of the water. We showed at 5am where we were greeted by Megan who was on the last quarter of a graveyard shift and yet still maintained impeccable bedside manner. She truly appeared to enjoy what she does so if she was burned out she sure didn't show it. Dr. Dargie was professional and thorough. Nurse Anna was tentative, nice, and an all around pleasure as she took great care of my wife and baby throughout surgery day. Big fan of Dr. Terrence, she has great pediatric advice if you ask her for it! While I cannot remember all the nurses we encountered there was not a bad one at all! The whole maternity ward deserves a bonus from Rochester Regional Health in my opinion! It is hard to find a whole group of nurses that are that great! Good enough for me to write this whole review so that says something. Lastly the food was top notch! Not the typical hospital food everyone dreads. Hospital is clean, staff are nice, food is good, have your babies here!

The quality of life and the opportunity I have to open my eyes every day and breathe, I owe all that to St. Lawrence. I have been going to Citizen Advocates for over 4 years. The team works like a wonderful caring unit. Sue is the best receptionist, kind and caring. Judy treats me with dignity and respect. Sherry heart is always on her shoulder. The doctors and therapist go way out of there way for me. If it wasn't for them I don't know where my life would be. The River Rock program is incredible. The clinicians and staff are knowledgeable, compassionate and passionate about what they do. I attended the IOP program a year ago. My experience there was so impactful on my overall wellbeing. I now work in mental health myself and confidently refer patients their way knowing they will be supported through their mental health and sobriety journey.

I want to add a personal review of River Rock under my name because I’m truly happy of the program and what it has done for my family. I don’t necessarily identify as being an alcoholic but used substances as a way to cope with bad times. Through the intensive outpatient therapy program River Rock provides I was able to gain a clear understanding of how to navigate problems at home. I went through the process a few years ago and then my husband felt compelled (thankfully) to do so after. Since then, we’ve been able to navigate life in a more healthy manner. They use a multi-faceted approach of different therapies including CBT, DBT, life coaching, adventure therapy, group sessions and one-on-one therapy to make sure that people get the help they need! We’ve been able to create a more holistic life that benefits us and use the tools given to get through hard times. We are more connected and practice self care including cold plunges and are building a space to install a sauna at home. Communication is better, my husband has been alcohol free for over a year and a half and we are able to navigate life much better. If you are questioning getting help in any capacity, I would recommend at least reaching out to River Rock. There is no shame in wanting to take steps to achieving a more healthy outlook on life. Credo is an amazing opportunity for adults with children to stay sober. I stayed there for 8 months and I am still sober today. (3 years later). That place saved my life. The staff was awesome, friendly, knowledgeable, FUN!

Its all in how you carry yourself while your their, if you need help ask for it. Ranting amd raving around the clinic being aggressive is gonna get you treated differently. Go in and be a normal decent person, be civilized for christ sakes your experience will be much more positive. In the end like you, there only doing there job. Ive been there 6 years and ive never ever had an issue everyone's very nice and makes my short time there better, always talkative and very friendly. Without them i know i wouldn't be standing on this side of the ground. Where many of my friends and family unfortunately have lost their own fights and their no longer her with us today"RIP". So super thanks to all staff for all that you guys do each and everyday..

I was in this Rehabilitation back in 2000 2001 and if it wasn't for st Joe's I wouldn't be where I am today the counselor I had I belive his name was John who has since passed and the counselor Dan and the staff was amazing I learned from my dark pass to live clean and sober and sure there rules are tough it not a play ground or a fake it to you make program it a rehab where you go to get you life straight and try to live life the way you were taught notby drugs no alcohol and our untrustworthy lifestyle we were living they helped me to be the person I am today thank you st Joe's for helping me to be who I am today and live life to the fullest
