Dr.John Carter has been seeing my boys since small children. I love how he includes the parent in last half of sessions, and explains everything as clearly as he can, and stays on top of medication, and side effects. RE: A "edit" to my post- Today we learned that Dr Carter is retiring at the end of this month....a day I knew would eventually come, but had hoped would be a few more years away.... to see him 20 years +, it was emotional and very sad news😢. We were told a "Dr. Lee who is a good doctor, and younger" wI'll be taking Dr. Carter's position the first of January. My son is not pleased at all, but we will have to wait and see if they "connect" in February. At any rate, with new management at Family Preservation, and all staff changes, and lack of staff, my "5 star rating" may be much less very soon.

This treatment center has been nothing short of wonderful. I love everyone who works here and you can feel they truly care about their patients. My counselor is Mrs. Ruth and I stg she is an angel on earth! My intake day, I called because I was going to be about 25 minutes late due to my own poor choices prior that landed me in the slammer in another state ( NC ) so because of that and having to bail out; I was going to be late. When I called I was trying to reschedule and Mrs. Ruth answered the phone. She told me not to worry about it, leave now and she’ll see me when I get there! She was not going to allow me to reschedule lol. Fast forward to now. She is my counselor and when I asked her why she did that for me she told me “ because I could hear in your voice that if you didn’t come right then, you weren’t going to come at all “ and she was right! She has done so so much for me. The nurses have done so much for me, all of them! Lisa is absolutely amazing and Natasha and Wendy are compassionate and awesome! The doctors? They most definitely care about you and want you to get to a stable place and will work with you as long as needed until you do. I highly recommend this treatment center. Even the ladies up front treat you great, are friendly and get you through fast! All around a great experience at this clinic and I’ve been to A LOT!! Because of them, I am clean and actually really happy and content in life. My life has improved so much already and I can’t wait to see where I’m at in life this time next year! It’s a journey I am extremely grateful to be on and grateful to have this wonderful staff on it with me and guiding me every step of the way 🫶🏻

I can tell she’s very busy as it is a “clinic “ atmosphere. But I feel she genuinely cares about these illness’s… and is very educated and equipped with the tools needed to help people like myself . For once in my 32 years of life I feel optimistic. I just thought that was worth leaving a review in case it matters to any of you . So , Thank you Eve Fields !

Talbott promised everything. They promised they would help facilitate a therapist and a psychiatrist after the treatment. They kept extending and extending for the short term disability. There is no accountability for the patient, whether you come or not. This facility is short staffed and you only see a therapist if you push for one. I called the ceo over and over asking for help with no return call. Talbott only cares about money. They don't care about the person at all. They allowed my son to stay even though he was failing drug and alcohol tests. They absolutely do not care. Stay away! Find another facility.

I am so very thankful for everything you do in your program from start to end. It has been a game changer for my son who has battled addiction for a few years. I see the spark back in his eyes and a joy and excitement towards his future you’ve given him the tools to be successful. You’ve given him the tools to cope, but most of all you’ve given him hope towards his future. He’s halfway through the program and has nothing but great things to say thank you so very much. I wish you were in many more locations to assist other people that need help and think there’s no hope in sight not just for the addict but for the families as well God bless you much love, and appreciation.!

ARP SAVED MY LIFE — and continues to shape it! Three years ago, I walked into Atlanta Recovery Place completely broken — a homeless veteran battling severe PTSD, carrying the trauma of molestation, rape, and domestic violence. I was suicidal, ashamed, and had lost all hope. But ARP refused to let me give up on myself. They provided comprehensive care — medical treatment, counseling (including family intervention), coping techniques, temporary housing, food vouchers, transportation services, and even extracurricular activities that taught me how to live happy, joyous, and free without mind-altering substances. The medical staff, techs, counselors, and facilitators didn’t just treat me — they saw me, they believed in me, and they patiently gave me the tools I needed to rebuild my life. As a late bloomer in recovery, I was overwhelmed and unsure, but they walked with me every step of the way. Today, I proudly stand at 3 years and 5 months clean. I’ve gone from surviving to thriving — I received my doctorate, became a Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES), graduated from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Citizens Academy, and now serve in the community as a mentor, chaplain, and advocate. I’m also an active member of ARP’s Alumni Peer Support group, pouring back into others the same hope that was given to me. I now have a voice. I now have purpose. I now have peace. Millions didn’t make it, but I am one of the ones who did! To anyone struggling: Recovery is possible. And Atlanta Recovery Place is where that possibility can begin. Clean, sober, and living free since 2/2/22 — and forever grateful to ARP!

I had a great experience at the Forester Center as Tarji Littlejohn is not only a fantastic therapist, but she’s also a very considerate friend. She made sure that I had the right resources and she was always available when I needed. I have the most respect for her and how she helped me along with countless other individuals.

(This account is my husband’s) When I say Willow Ridge saved my life, it’s an understatement. Everyone that works there is devoted to every individual’s needs, comfort, and improvement. I got my life back because of willow and I’m thankful every single day. I will ALWAYS recommend Willow to others looking for help and know they are in great care. Jenny, the director is such a loving and caring woman that really goes above and beyond for her patients and her employees. All of the techs and the therapist got me through the hardest parts of my life and helped to pull me out of a black hole I never thought I could escape. Now today, I am over a year clean and I owe so much of that to willow. I truly gained my life and my family back. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING

I came to Willow Ridge at the lowest point in my life. I was scared and didn't know where to turn. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel safe and supported. The counselors are compassionate and truly understand addiction. The therapy sessions were incredibly helpful, and I learned so much about myself and the underlying causes of my addiction. What sets Willow Ridge apart is the sense of community. I connected with other patients who were going through similar struggles, and we supported each other every step of the way. The group activities and outings were also a lot of fun and helped me rediscover some of my passions. Today, I am sober and living a life beyond my wildest dreams, and I owe it all to the amazing team at Willow Ridge. If you're struggling with addiction, please don't hesitate to reach out to them. It was the best decision I ever made!!
