If u actually wanna get clean and not just use it bc u can’t find anything else than the place is good plus since getting a new head nurse “that we needed so bad” n when Anna was the director things have gotten much better. even tho Anna is not there anymore she got it together and it seems like the new director is following her lead, the only bad thing I can say about Baart is if someone skips line or being disrespectful and you say something then I would be punished by holding my take homes over my head while the other person who started the mess has no take home’s receive no kinda punishment. I gave them hell. Had a horrible attitude. Was so ungrateful. Looking back im so grateful for this program. They took me in with just the clothes on my back, got me hooked up with medicaid and foodstamps as well as a strong support system within the program. They offer parenting classes, therapy, child therapy, case workers, they house you while you are there and make sure you have somewhere safe to stay when you leave. I was allowed an extension by 2 months just to make sure I had somewhere to go since I was homeless when I came in. The staff are stern in policy but they truly care! They wouldn't be in this if they didnt! That's for sure! My daughter will be 10 in a couple months and I catch myself using the things I learned in parenting classes I took here before she was even born! I stop by there from time to time hoping to see some of the workers that were there when I was, and there are still several there!. Im forever grateful for unc horizons and I would highly suggest this place to any mother who is truly ready to get their life back! They are a group of caring individuals who go out of their way to help make sure clients are well taken care of. Chris Gingrich my therapist definitely made sure my individual needs were taken care of in IOP and the outpatient program the last month. Everyone here is really friendly and are a good group of supportive kind people. Only small qualm is this place is very expensive but they accept a 12 month payment plan which is so nice. In addition, Dr. Lee is a great doctor who cares about his patients. He explained everything to me in detail, not only the medical aspect, but also the administration resources that are available for me. I am a hospital corpsman and I have been working in the medical field for decades. I can say that my experience at the VA clinic is not different from any other private clinic, if not better. I only gave this review 4 stars because the receptionist was not smiling nor was she welcoming either. In fact, I felt that she got frustrated with me because she was unable to find my appointment easily. Overall, I can sincerely say that my visit was great! Thanks to the VA and all the staff for providing exceptional services to our veterans! One nurse there is sadistic. A real monster. When giving vaccines he causes as much pain as possible. These people thrive on inefficiency. No one could work harder at doing worse. I woke up with gratitude in my heart thinking about all the good that came from this program. Being a transgender female, I was given not only the opportunity to go into the women’s program but I also was provided hormones for my transition the ENTIRE time I was there along with counseling from a therapist and psychiatrist for mental health medication management, all for FREE. The medical department at TROSA is amazing!! I didn’t need anything but the clothes on my back when I showed up and they provided everything I needed plus MUCH more for the duration of my time there. The staff not 1 time misgendered me or made me feel different and I was treated like all the other girls; and for that I am very very thankful!!
