I've been with RTA for over 10 years and have seen a lot of changes, good and bad, over that time. A bit of my story first, I had several back surgeries and was on Percocet, fentanyl patches, and demerol all prescribed for several years. When time came to cease medications, my surgeon did not taper me down and instead told me to deal with it. RTA was there for me when nothing else was. I have never been treated with anything but the utmost respect by all staff. I have had several major health problems during my time and these people never failed to make sure that I was receiving the best care I possibly could. Yes, sometimes there are long waits, but there's shortages of nurses in every health care setting across the nation. People don't realize what these nurses go through dealing with several hundred patients a day, some not too happy most of the time, and even people screaming at them to do their job faster. As a retired health care professional myself, I empathize with these nurses and until you've done their job you have no right to criticize. Once these nurses have underwent their extensive training you can get in and out in minutes. The counselors I know there at present are some of the best and most caring people I've had the pleasure to get to know and they have helped me tremendously. Also, I would like to point out one extremely special person, Renita Wallace. She started as my counselor years ago and is now the Program Director. I have never met a person as genuine, kind, and caring as she is. She saved my life as I was going through my health issues in the last 5 years. She even helped my son (with my permission) through these last years. I honestly don't know where I would be without this wonderful lady. She's the best thing that has ever happened to RTA and I hope RTA realizes what they have in her. One last thing, thank you, Holly for also putting up with me over the years even when I couldn't tolerate myself! Thank you to all staff, you've been most wonderful to me!

This place has given me my life back! Everyone here is very understanding and friendly, I don't feel judged. Although it may not be ideal for some, it's better than the alternative. I am able to live a 'normal' life now. On a side note, I just won a free raffle and got all of these goodies. If you are struggling, I would suggest just speaking with them and doing your research to see if it can help change your life too.

I have been going to this clinic for several years and we finally have someone in charge who truly cares about the patients, staff and overall environment of the facility. Given the circumstances of this establishment being shorthanded, Ranita (The director) has been amazing with dealing with patients as they get irritated or agitated because of the wait time due to shortage of nurses. She has helped not only myself, but others I know as well to the best of her capabilities which I haven’t seen anything she isn’t capable of doing. I feel as if she’s not given enough credit for the change she’s brought since becoming director. Secondly, Lashonda, Kellen, and the doctor have also been amazing. If I have any issue going on, everyone works as a team to help resolve whatever the issue may arise. I strongly recommend for anyone interested in MAT treatment to give this place a chance, it is literally lifesaving. Laken Hall

I don’t usually write reviews—especially for hospitals—but I felt like I had to this time. From the moment I checked in, Elli at the front desk made such a difference in my experience. She was incredibly sweet, efficient, and quick, and she made everything feel so much less stressful. Her kindness and professionalism really stood out and made me feel welcomed and taken care of. It’s not often you come across someone who makes a hospital visit feel easier, but Elli truly did. She was amazing, and I’m very grateful for her help.

I gave birth here on 11/28. From start to finish, the process was well handled and I felt well taken care of. The triage nurse was really kind, even early in the morning. Our first nurse, Jasmine, was incredibly attentive and made sure I was comfortable. The hand off to Sydney and Laura at night was flawless. The delivery doctor, I believe was Kim Patterson, was very calming even after nearly 4 hours of pushing. On the recovery side, I can't remember her name (too long of a day) was amazingly helpful and attentive. The next day, we had a great team helping us figure out how to do everything. Even having the LC come in was a great resource. Overall, our experience was great and while I still don't feel ready for motherhood, we were given great resources and tools to figure everything out.

They have been committed to my treatment plan from the front desk experience to every clinician. Tal’meisha was god sent along with Mrs.Albony. You will leave with tools to make your life easier.

Tal’Meisha is a great therapist. She makes me feel seen and heard and also helping me cope with anxiety and personal issues. I feel better every session because it feels like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. also the receptionist are great too they make sure you know about openings to get you scheduled. I love this place. It has helped me tremendously.

Genesis has not only helped me with mental and substance abuse they helped me become a better person. Tal’Meisha is a phenomenal therapist that has helped me tremendously. I also want to recognize Stacy and Kacy two of the most very sweet and positive women I have ever met. Genesis overall is a great place that not only understands what your going through but actually wants to help you!!!!!

Dr. Lane is the absolute best, Sheila is an all-star. I made some comments I truly regret. But this place saves lives. Including my own life. Im Sorry Day mark staff. I love you all of you!!!

I’ve been seeing Jason for therapy for a little over a year and he is awesome. I never had good experiences with therapist until I met him. He’s super personable and just makes the experience fun and like you’re actually being heard instead of judged. Highly recommend him for therapy or just Daymark in general for your emotional/mental health services

They have been an incredible support system through my journey with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Both are extremely dedicated, compassionate, and truly invested in my well-being. Their support goes beyond our sessions—they consistently provide helpful recommendations, resources, and ensure all necessary paperwork is submitted promptly, especially during times when I struggle to focus on work and manage daily life. Great place for therapy. I’ve been to a few therapists who have almost convinced me therapy isn’t important or worth another try until I found Zachary Weir. Very good therapist, definitely recommend. The receptionists are very sweet here as well!

When I had to go through DWI I was expecting to suffer through it. But here I learned about myself and this changed my whole attitude going forward. Here I found someone who truly cared about me and had my best interests at heart.

This facility is the best! If you need an assessment done don’t waste your time with anyone else. Her heart is in the business where all these others are in it for the money it seems. Rhonda is sweet and down to earth and just wants to help you through this process and get you through it and put it behind you. Her pricing is fair and her availability works around you. She’s the best around!

I have been with Genesis for over a year and absolutely LOVE every thing about them! I’ll start with scheduling. Once on the schedule, I am able to keep the same appointment day and time every week so I don’t forget it. If I ever have to miss or reschedule, no problem. I am able to call and speak with someone directly or leave a message and my calls are always returned promptly. This is due to the wonderful ladies in the Salisbury office, Stacy and Kacie! These two stay on top of things and if ever I miss an appointment without calling first, they call to check on me to make sure things are okay. They both make need very comfortable and I can tell that they truly care about me and my family. I can’t give them enough praise!!! My therapist, Tal’ Meshia, has been a god send! I, honestly and truly, don’t know what I would do without her! She has been a blessing and has taught me so much about myself and has helped me heal in so many ways. Not just myself but my mother and seven year old daughter look forward to seeing her every week, as well!! I can’t sing enough praise about Genesis! I can honestly say that I have had zero complaints in over a year with them and I look forward to each visit! Thank you ladies for showing me and my family that you really do care about us! where should I start? Been working with Megan for a year already. Being a disabled vet many of us having trust issues with talking with complete strangers & Megan made it comfortable since day 1 since. Thank you Megan so much for getting me thru everything & helping me learn so much that I didnt know mentally fighting my PTSD!!
