Once again sad due to another great provider moving on. I do wish her nothing but the best, but will miss talking with Ms.Carrie HillIt's hard to get comfortable opening up about things that we struggle with, but I have all the confidence that Monarch will once again find another great provider!I want to add one other thing, I been going to Albemarle Monarch for a long time now and the lady at the front desk (can't think of her name, darn)that's the first person you see when checking in is one of the nicest, kindest, pleasant, knowledgeable and caring person and always is this way! Never had she been anything but exceptional at her job in my opinion! Thank you Monarch for not letting her get away or moving on!

Before coming to RFH, I felt worthless and empty. I lost everything and had no one. Being at the Alpha House facilitye gave me a way to cope with my feelings of worthlessness. In the past I would have drowned myself in drugs. I'm only 19 and lost everyone and everything of importance in my life. My son will turn 2 years on March 31st, I haven't seen him since he was 13 weeks. My heart is filled with hate, pain and regret. I lost him due to failed drug tests and he was placed with my grandmother that raised me. I though he would be protected so I continued to use and got myself into a lot of trouble. My son was physically abused by my father’s girlfriend due to my bad choices, my using progressed until it was more painful to use. I'm learning how to stay clean, to do the next right thing for the next right reason. I have a chance at life today. I've learned how to be responsible, dependable and respectful. I'm employed, saving money and I'm considerate to others. I'm grateful today.

I'm so incredibly thankful for the time, effort, and support these people pour out into these children learning to become respectful men. It's not easy to work through mental and emotional trauma. These people are licensed and trained to handle all aspects with dignity and respect. Yes, I was hesitant at first. I researched it in depth and talked with multiple people before we did paper work. I cannot express my gratefulness enough! Mr. Miller is very patient, and all the camp leader I have met. The cook is a super sweet lady and cares for these boys in a way that takes a special heart.

At first glance this place seems like a WWll waste land, but its not. Although the restraints can be questionable at times, they are not abusive. Kids fight back, what can you do? They give you 3 meals a day. However, some of the meals can be questionable, they provide nutrition and some of the meals are actually good. You get a shower everyday. You get school an physical activity. The things staff members ask residents to do are not difficult what so ever. All you have to do is listen. This place teaches you how to have integrity, how to be responsible and how to be accountable with your actions. I see a lot of people saying- "Forced labor, horrible weather conditions". It is not forced, it is prompted then it is up to the kid to do it or not, and if they don't then they get written up. That's how the real world works. You or your son will get a job and their boss will tell them what they need to do. If they don't then they get fired. The weather is the weather, cant do anything about that. This program isn't meant to be fun (although it actually can be fun at times) its meant to be hard and challenging. This was a life changing experience for me and i don't regret a second of time i spent there.

I can't thank Peggy Lombardo (Alumni Coordinator) enough for saving a family member's life. She befriended "Will" long before he was willing to seek help. He was never alone in life because she checked on him regularly and gently coaxed him into getting the help that he desperately needed. Approximately 7 months after reaching out, Will made the decision to better his life by accepting Peggy's offer of help. Once his decision was made, Peggy instantly started moving mountains to get him the help he needed. She was in daily contact with his family offering her advice, supplying helpful contact information, and even talking him through his fears when they became too great and he wanted to run. As a result of Peggy's unrelenting quest to help Will, he has received a Certificate of Completion from the Midwood Addiction Program where he received counseling, housing, a sense of community, independence, and gradually took control of his life again. A little over a month after graduating, Will has found employment and is ready to start this new healthy chapter in his life. When asked if he ever talks to Peggy anymore, the answer is "yes! she's full of valuable resources.". How do you thank someone who has saved the life of someone you thought was lost forever? There is no repayment plan that could ever be enough for this angel on earth. Peggy will always be our angel. She truly has an amazing gift and we are forever in her debt. XO

Great place! Coming into this I was a little skeptical about being treated well. The staff and therapist took their time with me, to tend to my needs as a new patient. I had some bumps along the way until I met Evie Dillard. She was so helpful to me by giving me extra resources to get ready to exit treatment. I’m talking about food, shelter and even information about great jobs. I started working, got a place to rest my and made great friend for life. Thank you so much, Evie.

Lemme tell you about the housing situation 1st. I read the good reviews and the horrible and the bad kinda concerned me. I can tell you the bad was not only exaggerated but most just someone salty and spreading total BS. There are no rodents and I've never been to a house that had zero bugs not even a fly before I got here, not even my father's house. Ok so these 2 floor some with a upper smoking/ lounge deck are nice nice! 4 bedroom 3 full double sink bathrooms , two with walk-in shower , I bath / shower and a half bath by living room. It's fully stocked with any pans coffee pot anything you need. The staff are some of the nicest ppl and you absolutely get to know them. You are treated pretty much how you treat them. Just be kind! Midwood center was the one I went to and the staff there are always awesome. If you need something just speak up, I've seen ppl come through and expect everyone to be mind readers. I would list everyone I love at Harmony but I'm horrible with names but there are standouts. Christine, Crystn (sik). Byron,Lisa, Miss Gail ( Amber always pushing DBT therapy 😬) Bobby, the tech who's name escapes me that calls everyone "Big Dog) And Lastly but firstly Miss Peggy who is the sweetest person I've ever met and she saved my life just by getting to know me calling my phone to talk to someone else. She had my back and actually drove to Salvation Army and helped me get insurance, talked me into Salvation Army in first place and bought my broke ass two packs of smokes She is absolutely a gift from God and deserves to be the highest paid at Harmony! But I'm betting she would do it for free No fear y'all this place is absolutely what you make it. Buddy Stovall

They not only provide shelter and IOP classes, they also get me to medical appointments that I've neglected to go to for years. I was in pretty bad shape and at one of the lowest points in my life, when I decided to reach out to Harmony Recovery Center. I feel that my experience there saved my life and started me on my path toward healing. After contacting HRC, Ms. Denice immediately reached out to me and encouraged me to join the program. Ms. Peggy was very supportive while I was struggling to make the decision to attend Harmony and while I was attending the program, and still continues to be.I was welcomed into the Harmony community by Dr. Laurie, the Clinical Director, and Jasmine, my intake manager, and I immediately felt safe in the warm friendly atmosphere there. I appreciated that the program provided housing, since I was coming from out of town.Of the many counselors and facilitators, I owe a special thank you to Dr. Rob, who encouraged me to stick with the program even though it was tough and who gave me so many insights into my struggles. At one point I was totally ready to take off, and Dr. Rob said, I think you have been running your whole life and you need to push through this. To which I said, Ok, Dr. Rob, I m going to trust you on this one. And I m glad I did. Roxanna was so sweet in having her door open always to provide a little TLC whenever something was troubling me. I think what some of us really needed was to have someone in our corner that we could trust. It is very difficult for me to trust anyone. And Ms. Gail was the amazing leader of many of our group sessions! Everyone loves Ms. Gail.My absolute favorite part of the program was having the opportunity to tell my life story in a small group, where I felt both seen and heard and maybe for the first time in my life, understood. I was also inspired by hearing the other client s life stories and experiences and seeing their strength in having overcome so many obstacles, even before joining Harmony.I was thankful for the behavioral techs, who drove us everywhere and provided so much support and security during the evening and night hours at housing. They were always willing to listen and provide any assistance needed. There were too many wonderful people to list here, but I give a special thanks to Ms. Sharone, Ms. Kay and Kai, who helped pull me through. Many of the staff are in recovery themselves which gives them compassion and empathy for us because they remember being in our shoes at one time and have a great deal of wisdom from their own healing journey.I feel that Harmony is the perfect name for this program. This was my safe haven in the midst of a storm. I loved the diversity there with both the staff and clients. They had people from all over the US, of different backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities. If you re struggling, this is the place to come and there s no time like now to begin.Just a little suggestion, if you decide to come: many of us brought comfort items, like our own blanket, pillow or towels to make us feel a little more at home; hobby or craft items, like drawing, knitting, etc. I like to cook, so I brought a few extra kitchen items.

If you enter with an open mind and heart you will find a place where you will feel at home and have an opportunity to reach your goals. After reading some of the negative reviews, they blow my mind and I feel that those troubled souls had other issues going on that did not allow them to see Dr. Ringer s true intentions and spirit. Keep in mind he is in a very tough business, opening his doors to some very troubled individuals. I m very grateful for having the opportunity to learn from him and have a seat inside his four walls. Until the day you decide to call it quits everyone that walks through your doors will be better off when they walk out. With gratitude and respect I leave this review.

Medication-assisted treatment helps people manage cravings and reduces the chance of relapse during treatment. The residential treatment program allows clients to fully focus on their recovery without the dist
I am from California, I spent 3 months at the facility. They definitely over charge you for treatment. Their facilities aren't the best....however there are some people here doing almighty work. One such person is Hakim. He is a counselor here. He is a good man with a good heart, he cares about people. I wish he would transfer to California and be my counselor there. He really helped to see many things in a different way. He's very passionate about his patients and the job he does. I would guess they don't pay him nearly enough for how valuable he is to this facility. I hope to see Hakim again one day. There is also Jay who is often the only nurse in the dispensery. A great guy and always has a kind word. I'll miss these guys very much....they probably have no idea how much what they do impacts people's lives....or maybe they do. Either way folks like them are rare in today world.

This is a response to the last review I see, the lady with a small star on her icon. Methadone is a safe medication, it stops withdrawals from illicit opiates and does not get the person in treatment "high", which allows the patient to get their lives back. Please educate yourself on methadone and methadone treatment centers.

Obviously the people saying "one addiction for another" has very limited understanding of this treatment and addiction. Yes, this treatment can take years. This verses cold turkey/abstaining is night and day with success rates. Or I like to call that the "just pray about it and hope" method. BTW it doesn't work. If it did, nobody would have an addiction. These people complaining are still failing drug test and trying to play the system. Eventually u have to admit defeat and surrender to ur recovery and stop trying to use illegal substances by counting days till ur testing is done or sneaking in urine or basically trying to manipulate ur recovery process. I promise u will get out of recovery what energy u put into it as well . Yes, there are a couple nursed that seem to not get we r patients and we pay thousands of dollars a year to be there and yet they treat us as if we r at the dmv. One is down right rude and doesn't even look at us. She will not speak to us u less ahe has to. We will not miss her when she goes we just really hope she leaves soon.
