I was recently released from incarceration and I was without a prescription for not only my methadone, but for my anti depressants. All of the staff was so beyond kind and nurturing when i was feeling my worst. Every staff member i’ve interacted with has introduced themselves and told me if i ever need anything to get on my feet, or need help before my next appointment to always call and they’ll make time for me. They are so much more than addiction treatment. The doctor gave me a temporary prescription for my antidepressants while i find a doctor so i wouldn’t be without (that helped me not be suicidal for the next month) and they also helped me to get my insurance set up. These people care. Even the patients i’ve met here have been so kind. And if you’re a woman or lgbtqia+ you’ll love Faith the receptionist. Her style and she checked on me to make sure i felt safe when an older man was chatting with me :) (I was fine, he was awesome actually!) Above all, judgment doesn’t seem to exist here. They’ve helped me get on my feet and make me feel like i have a 2nd home in a matter of 3 appointments. Couldn’t recommend them enough. Thank you guys.

Bright View in Akron are caring people. Visits are fast and efficient. The one in Canton also have a caring staff but the visits are too long for most appointments.
I never give 5 stars because there is always room for improvement on any job.

The employees here are absolutely wonderful. They were all very helpful and very accommodating to the patient. The patient was taken care of from surgery, to recovery to room beyond the normal. The Dr.'s and nurses were exceptional from knowledge to bed side manner. Highly recommend this hospital!

Please know you literally changed my life several years ago and I wanted to thank you. I moved to this town and had been suffering for 1.5 years because the doc I had refused to change my med that wasn't working. The first visit your docs changed up the med and in 2 weeks I was no longer suffering. So Thank you for caring enough to try something different. I suffered unnecessarily for a year and a half...it's difficult to just find a new doc when you are suffering terrible. Moving to GH town and Charak saved me. When docs don't listen or work to find a solution it's difficult but go somewhere else. Advocate for yourself because 1.5 years of suffering that obviously was not necessary is IMHO criminal. I wish someone would have helped me get a different doc or had told me to keep trying different docs til I found one that cared. Thank you GH office for giving me my life back!

I was there, 2019, I was admitted for a DUI but had substance abuse of every way going before I arrived. Pam, Mac, and all the others helped me so much I am now almost 2 years sober and I'm planning my career into law enforcement or medical field. They helped me so much words can't describe. I would give anything to speak to any of the counselors, assistants, or teachers again. Even 2 years sober I miss every moment of being there, (although I strived to leave while there) the people who helped me, and the kids I was with, changed me forever. 5 stars to the facility. 5 stars to the staff. David and Chantal were by far my favorites, but in general it’s a great place to be at, legit! You’ll get people who are home sick but there’s always a staff like Von to talk to you if you’re feeling some type of way, but don’t get caught cussing in front of Andrea or your hands will hurt from writing. All love though no shade! 30-45 days isn’t that bad when you need to get your life on track!❤️

This ER is the fastest ER I've ever been too. Normally I'm waiting in excruciating pain with kidney stones for 6 hours before I get any relief. At this ER I was admitted, pain was treated before it got too unbearable, and then released within 2 1/2 hours! Best experience!

Negatives: OK the rooms weren't exactly up to Ritz standards and the food was hospital grade. There were one or two staff members that seemed less than happy to be there and even a little short with the patients. No place is going to get a five star rating. You are going to find faults no matter where you go.
I was in inpatient between January 9th and 14th for anxiety and depression as well as "SI". This was my first time in a facility, so I was extremely apprehensive. I had seen the horror stories about mismanaged mental hospitals and was on high alert going in. It ended as soon as I was carted in. The staff was, for the most part, very helpful and caring. They did regular vital checks, bed checks, 4 counseling classes a day (optional), had regular 1on 1 check ins with psychiatrists and therapists, etc... This place was an overall game changer. I went in at the end of my rope. I had hit the wall in every way. This place and the people in it helped me process my feelings, got me on necessary medication, and helped me find outside mental health assistance for my continued recovery.

I was very thankful for receiving high quality care from this mental hospital. I'm very proud that the staff, the doctors, nurses and even patients I was with were all excepting and understanding that mental health is somthing that should always be taken seriously. Thank you so much for your service. I definitely recommend this place to anyone out there that is struggling with mental health issues.

I love this place! Literally the best mental health help I ve ever had inpatient! Nobody batted an eye at how many times I ve been inpatient, and I was treated with respect the whole time. Yes the stay is long, but that s policy for most mental hospitals. Jen was rude, but the rest of the staff were lovely, especially Michelle the activities director.

This place is incredible. If you are researching the IOP program and your journey lead you to these reviews- I hope you strongly consider taking the leap and getting yourself enrolled in this incredible program. This changed my life, the counselor Paul- is absolutely born for leading this program. I completed the program and saw many before me complete this and not a single person had a negative thought about their time in this program. I have never been more happy with a decision like I am with choosing this place.

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL DRIVERS INTERVENTION PROGRAM! It was so much more than I expected. I did DIP 14 years ago at a different facility and it was nothing like this. Lenny is absolutely incredible and was always available for questions or concerns. I did 57 days in a rehab and got SO much more in these 3 days than I did with those 57 days. Lenny and his partnering staff were wonderful. I'm grateful to have 'randomly' chosen this place to do my DIP. Had a great group of people. Food was great (SO MUCH FOOD LOL), plenty of breaks, great insight, information and knowledge. Highly recommend Alternative Paths for DIP. I truly did not want to leave but they gave me so much information and I know I can use it in my daily life now!

Alternative Paths has been wonderful to me and for me.
As a Veteran who can access care at the VA, but doesn't necessarily like driving to Cleveland - I have found an amazing provider (Eric Steiner) here who has given me the mental health support that I need to continue to thrive in my recovery.
As a person who also struggles with substance use disorder I have found that he's reliable, consistent, and experienced in the therapy that he provides. The safe and nonjudgemental environment he established from the beginning has been very impactful. I especially appreciate his appointment reminders (he does them himself). His therapy continues to be effective and he has helped me to navigate several challenges.
The Alternative Paths receptionists always greet me with kindly. The lobby is full of resources and the rates are quite reasonable.
