Arriving there at roughly 11:00pm on a Friday night, I was greeted and treated with respect and that is how I felt the entire stay there. These people tried to get to the root of my illness and again, I am grateful for that. Thank you to the social workers for being patient with my unique living situation. Thank you to the community support staff for simply being there. They depend on volunteers to serve hot meals, pantry and an array of resources to help addiction, depression, domestic violence. Listen... take a day off and volunteer, please. Instead of going to a movie and eating popcorn, candy, sodas... volunteer. The community they serve is in need of your hero... I saw many single new mommies... toddlers just starting to walk (SO CUTE).... even a couple babies strollers. Elderly folks in wheel chairs... insisting on feeding themselves... I was so proud of them. Gave me an entirely new perspective. They are certainly better at answering the phones now that they hired people, and they have more psychs and psych nurses available again, so you really just need to find your match. I have a great team and now that my psych is more willing to schedule his own appointments at times, it also takes some pressure off of the main phone line. Since my favorite psych nurse left the practice, it took a few different people to match with for me to feel comfortable. Highly recommended doctor Sansait by the way. He is very thorough, friendly and genuine. He doesn’t rush you off the phone, and always asks the necessary questions. So glad this place is getting back on track! Why is no one answering the phone anymore??? I’ve been with them since 2014 and NEVER seen it like this. It goes straight to a voicemail and sometimes the voicemail is FULL and you cannot even leave a message. I’ve tried multiple lines that they’ve called from. And now that the best psych is gone, they hired more. All the new ones seem to just call you whenever they want now, either 40 minutes before your scheduled appointment or they are super late, anywhere from 15 minutes 2 hours late!! A lot of us need stability and consistency when it comes to mental health! I like the providers that are willing to take time to schedule your next appointment rather than dump you back into the phone line of the scheduling office who never answers. Not everyone is willing to do that though, mainly the psychs. Hopefully something changes….
