The office manager, Kiersten, is very sweet, always supportive, and understanding. Also, the therapist, Jen Kimpan, is absolutely amazing & understanding!! They all have a big place in my heart My family and I are forever grateful for them, and we re thankful for God leading me to them. AppleGate is a safe friendly environment to begin your treatment process. Some recovery center her in Dayton do not have your best interest in mind, just in the recovery business for the money, but here at AppleGate it s a small family oriented staff who are in the recovery business for the right reasons. Some of the staff have been through recovery themselves and can relate to your situation without prejudice or a feeling of being judged. They are here willing to help you pull through this storm and take back you life that you deserve. Love yourself enough to get help, even if you feel no one else dose. Medmark is a great option for outpatient treatment in Dayton. There is often little to no wait time to dose, which compared to other clinics in the area, is a superior benefit.The majority of counselors and other staff are a step above. They tend to be more understanding, compassionate, down to earth and helpful than their peers in the field who are employed elsewhere. They go above and beyond for clients, making time for emergencies, questions, and requests.The program overall doesn't require an exceptional amount of the client's life, with just one group or one on one required per month.The location is convenient to get to, but the area tends to be pretty ghetto with a lot of "riff raff" in the parking lot.

I attended the IOP at Changes and loved it! I was very apprehensive to attend group therapy, but it was truly the best decision I have ever made. My therapists, Jenna and Maddie, were so knowledgeable, kind and helpful. In group, you learn about skills to cope with anxiety and depression. The skills I have learned are truly life-changing and empowering. If it wasn't for Eastway I would have been dead by now. I've been with them for 15 years. But their housing program is okay. I also like the fact that there's a pharmacy right there inside. I've been using Eastway's Pharmacy since they opened up. I definitely like that your meds can be delivered to your front door IF you have No Way of getting to the Eastway building. IF you have (a) prescription(s) that needs to be filled the same day you go in for an appointment with a Doctor they will have it filled by the time you're done with your appointment. I will Always recommend Eastway to someone that needs mental health and proper medications. I like the staff that works there. Everyone is very nice to you and they usually have a smile on their face. I try to get a laugh out of one of them and it usually works. As long as Eastway has their doors open I will continue to go there. The staff is wonderful. I'm glad that I have a case manager for longer than two years. My case manager now (and has been for 4 solid years.) She goes above and beyond the call of duty. (She's been there for about 20 years). She helps me go grocery shopping and soon to do laundry up the road. I Pray everyday that I don't lose the case manager I have now. I have pleasant feelings for Eastway. IF you get the chance to be a client at Eastway, remember that getting the right medication can take some time. It took them close to 13 years of trying different medications to get the right regimen that works for ME. I also like the fact that there's a Bus Stop right out front of the building. . I hope you can enjoy the care and staff there. Everyone there is a happy, pleasant person. I LOVE EASTWAY!!! The ONLY way I'll go somewhere else is IF they close their doors. My mother told me about Eastway and when I started the "Journey" there I had a sense of good things to come my way. The rollercoaster of emotions that I was going through finally ended when I became a client at Eastway. At first I didn't like it there because of TWO case managers they Always had a funky attitude towards me and dismissed the fact that I'm there for Mental Health. I'm getting treatment for my Bipolar Disorder. Looking back I'm Glad that I got help from them. IF I didn't make the first appointment to go there, I HIGHLY DOUBT I would be alive right now making this post. Eastway is the one facility that I recommend EVERYONE to go to for Mental Health. It's hit or miss.The psychiatrist we found is a gem, who shares her professional advice after listening to our experiences and concerns. I've been a client on and off for multiple years for Substance Use Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. I've always been pleased with the care I receive. I've participated in their IOP, PHP, After-care, individual therapy, and psychiatric programs. I've received medical help including the Vivitrol shot. The counselors are great (I've had at least seven different ones) and care about their clients. They are able to refer to higher levels of care if needed. They accept Caresource.And, as always with mental health facilities, you usually get out of it what you put into it.

You're in group from 7am to 8pm. I never had time to just decompress and actually think about things. In class so much,they often repeated the same things over and over I often"tuned out" due to repetitiveness. Also, I really need one on one therapy I didn't get it. Barley could use the phone and tecs were on power trips. Instead of making recovery happy. But overall they did a good job.

Reading these reviews is crazy MVR is the absolute best place you can go to for recovery if you truly want to recover. EVERY person working there is amazing and will help you with anything they can. Sad to see Brittany go she was a great counselor. I ve read the few negative reviews and without question can tell you they aren t true. I was one of their first clients and they definitely worked with my work schedule and whatever else i had come up in life. Honestly no bs there isn t a single thing i can say bad about them at all. I am very grateful for everything they have done for me and the big part they played in changing my life. MVR gives you all the tools you need to succeed and if you can t succeed here then you don t want recovery simple as that.

My experience with Miami Valley Recovery has been absolutely AMAZING!!! I can honestly say that their program did save my life! The impact they've had on my life is remarkable, and they've played a huge roll in my success story, my recovery, and my new sober life! I really love the staff here they genuinely have your recovery in mind first. Very supportive and helpful in providing you with everything you need to remain sober. Nice rooms with new remodeled bathrooms. I was very comfortable and they made sure I was. Alot of staff are recovering addicts themselves and that makes it even better. I loved mrs Brenda , she always had the best advice. Carla stuck with me when I struggled with getting to b admitted on time. Thank you all for everything! Will forever be a big part of my recovery!

I've been going to spero health clinic for about 5 years now,they are absolutely amazing,I went to spero health in Chillicothe for about 3 years they're amazing and we moved to Dayton and I started going to spero health clinic on main Street in trotwood Ohio and they are also amazing,they treat you like family never judge you they make sure your taking care of,get your medicine and they also work on tapering you down when your ready. All the nurses, doctor's and counselor's are all loving caring nonjudging and do all they can for you to succeed in your journey of sobriety.. spero is by far the best Suboxone treatment clinic of all places,I would highly recommend going to this place if you need help on becoming sober and changing your line around,they go out of they're way to help you even if you need a place to live, a job medical, mental health and anything else you may need help with... I absolutely love everyone who has helped me thru this live changing sober life I'm living for the past 6 1/2 years.... Thank you spero health for all you guy's have done and still continue to do for me... I started out on 2 subs a day 8mg now I'm down to 3/4 of 4-1mg a day.... I went to Woodhaven twice in 2019, the first time I left because I had it all figured out (most of us think we do but we don't). I ended up using 5 hours after I had left (what about that plan I had lol), went on a run that almost cost me my life a few times, distanced me further from my family and gained a lot more legal problems. My ideas, self-will and diseased illusions brought me to a point of complete resignation. I came back in April of 2019 and surrendered. My mind was closed, ears sealed up and a hardened heart but the staff didn't let me off that easy. If it wasn't for having my thinking and perceptions challenged, I would have never learned what it meant to be open-minded, then, becoming teachable. I was taught about life and everything in it being a process by a CDCA named Tim B. Of course me being self-centered and demanding, I wanted those processes to work on my time, on demand to satisfy my self-centered addict nature. My hatred for delayed satisfaction was incredible. However, it was my constant demand for satisfaction that almost got myself killed multiple times and I needed to be reminded of that when the opportunity was presented. I had to learn to give up what control I though I had and surrender to whatever process that was given to me for the day. Not just the staff but the brotherhood I was surrounded by everyday will always be a big part of the memories I have of being a client at Woodhaven. The comradery was just as important to me then the therapeutic relationships. Getting up everyday, going to group and just doing what was expected I think all of us can say for the time was what we wanted to do. It was what we needed. Realistic expectations and structure. There is no Golden Corral at Woodhaven (you will get what you need) and at times some processes can be slow, grocery lines can take longer and be more frustrating. Things do work themselves out. I think most of us alumni would agree there is something magical that happens when the intent to recover on purpose is matched with unwavering dedication to do something different. Not much really mattered when we just knew, it was going to be ok, maybe just not when we wanted it to be (back to that delayed satisfaction part again lol). Not to dull the reader for this is getting long but I will end with a few important points.1). I am coming up on 6 years of long-term recovery and can only attribute it to having Woodhaven to help start my journey, the Narcotics Anonymous program which was introduced to me in Woodhaven and always, a Higher Power working in my life.2). My dog tag and my Woodhaven certificate are the most cherished things I have ever earned because it reminds me of the growing up I had to do.3). The greatest incentive to long-term recovery and working a daily program of recovery is that, taking life one day at a time, I will never have to go back to treatment again as long as I don't use.4). My son goes to school today with a Woodhaven hat on and says his dad is in recovery not having to worry about if I am coming home or if he is going to be in foster care again.Thank you for letting me share.

I have been to oodhaven twice and both my experiences were good. Yes there were times when I didn't like or agree with the rules or their advice but I followed it because doing sobriety my way never works out. They helped me overcome a horrible toxic relationship that was also keeping in active addiction. They taught me coping skills and discipline. Ms. Linda helped every girl a robe and slippers. Olivia my counselor was truly caring and always available. AddiThe peer supporter was wonderful about taking us to a safe outside meetings and rallys. Some of the people who have posted negative reviews were kicked out for behavior such as stealing because I recognize the name of at leasted one reviewer and she was caught stealing so I'm sure that's why she left a bad review. But if you are looking for counselors and real treatment Woodhaven is the place to go.

I m going to make a different kind of review for PC because I personally don t go there but I know several people who have been in the program for many years & some who are still in the program.Through those people I feel I can make a review especially since I ve been familiar with it for over 15 years .I have personally gotten to know people myself due to me knowing people going there awhile . I know some of these friendships outside of the program .Some of the same People ride to PC together every morning on the days they go & this to has become a routine . They call to make sure each other is up & ready . They have even become friends with their driver who picks them up.They acknowledge Birthdays , Christmas & sometimes even exchange small gifts because it s the thought that counts. With the building closing on Daruma Pkwy , Clients have to chose between 2 other locations to go to which means people will not get to see their usual friends or the people they are use to seeing on a daily basis.I seriously feel bad for everyone having to make that decision.I believe part of rehabilitation is having someone to talk to, having a social life & being around others that you have known for years.Not everyone will be able to go to the same location so it s sad that they have to split up like they are .I thought the bldg on Daruma was a great location & near the bus line as well.Wishing everyone going through this change Good Luck .
