My husband struggled with addiction for many years and had been in and out of different rehabilitation facilities without lasting success. Everything changed when he went to Bowling Green Brandywine Treatment Center. For the first time he received the level of care compassion and support he truly needed.
Today he is a completely different person, the best husband a loving and present father to our children and a provider our family can depend on. Since completing treatment he has not only maintained his sobriety but has also thrived in his career and earned two promotions at work. Watching him rebuild his life and our family has been nothing short of a miracle.
He often speaks about Daniel Jenkins the CEO of the center and how deeply his compassion and personal encouragement impacted him. Daniel took the time to talk with him about sobriety accountability and hope in a way that truly resonated and he even prayed with him which meant more than words can express. Those conversations stayed with my husband and helped motivate him to commit to real lasting change.
The entire staff at Bowling Green Brandywine treated him with dignity respect and genuine care. From the clinical team to the support staff it was clear that everyone there truly wants patients to succeed and not just while they are in treatment but long after they leave.
Our family is forever grateful to Bowling Green Brandywine Treatment Center for giving us our husband and father back. Thank you to every single person there for the work you do and the lives you change every day.

I have been with Holcomb for 2 months now and the treatment is excellent. I was set up with an intake interview 3 weeks from the day I called, then I was matched with a therapist the day of my intake appointment. She’s a terrific therapist and very kind and empathetic. The staff is thoughtful and they text and call me every week to remind me of my appointment. I am able to schedule my appointments up to a month ahead, which is great. I would highly recommend this office for anyone looking to start or restart (as I did) therapy, it is a safe and comfortable environment to be.

I was in today for two appointments and things could not have gone better. I met with Dr. Muchnick - Optometry and Dr. Ambrogi - Dental. Both were consummate professionals, took their time and really handled the entire visits well. It really bolsters my faith in the treatment when I don't feel the MD is rushing to move onto the next patient. Ultimately I got fantastic care and I am sold, I will continue to use them and this site for medical care. I have been using VA Medical in various capacities for over forty years now and I have always had a good experience. They actually listen to you and know what they're doing, they don't just take notes and do what they were going to do anyway, they actually cater to your specific circumstances, let you give input, take that into account, and adjust your treatment accordingly, I've had so many bad experiences with other clinics, so I'm glad I finally found this place!
Also, the pink haired Lady at the front desk will remember your face and add you into the dosing queue the second you walk through the doors. She's super fast and good at her job but lady I wanna say GOOD MORNING to you! like... please. you're super good at your job but let me say good morning and say it back to me. I'm not trying to make conversation. I just want to say good morning. 😊😊😊

My Journey to this point has consisted of 3 rehabs(not court ordered), 2 DUIs, as well as LOTS of good times, lots of travel, the best Friends and Family! A valuable life worth living! A true Alcoholic that should never ever hold or pick up a drink! Unfortunately now I'm plagued with Kidney and Liver Disease. Initially the mere thought of having a 3 hour meeting with a Therapist and small group was the LAST thing in my Vision. However I need this service for 3 months to possibly get on the Kidney Transplant List. I have grown to truly enjoy Kyle's IOP group. I look forward to it and miss it on Wednesdays and Fridays. Kyle has opened my eyes and nudged me to attend meetings. My answer turned from NO thank you, to I will give AA meetings a go. Keep in mind that I have been in and out of the Program for 20+ years. My son recently completed a 12-month treatment program at the Manor of Hope and his recovery from substance use issues is nothing short of miraculous due largely in part to the care he received at the Manor from Steve Killelea and his staff of highly skilled counselors. Every parent's nightmare is watching your kid battle the demons that mental illness and drugs unleash on them. Long care treatment facilities like the Manor work better to treat addiction than the short-term, for-profit institutions that fail more often than not to help those suffering from these illnesses. My current relationship with my son is night and day as Steve has helped to guide him into adulthood. Steve not only helped my son but counseled my wife and I on how to deal with my boy as he transitions back to family life. I am profoundly grateful and thankful to have crossed paths with Steve and the Manor of Hope and highly recommend the long-term care and treatment programs that the Manor can offer to those suffering from addiction and mental illness.

The Manor of Hope is making a huge difference in our son’s life. We were desperate and needed help for our son, who is on the autistic spectrum. Steve took our son under his wing, and now he is learning how to live independently, slowly but surely. We did not think an independent life would be possible for him. Steve and our son’s mentor, along with the other staff are teaching him skills that will last a lifetime. He recently was hired for a part-time job and is enrolled in a college course. The professionals that Steve have connected our son with, such as his psychiatrist and therapist, are excellent.
The Manor of Hope has so many opportunities. Our son is learning how to cook through a weekly culinary class. He is taking care of a garden, and has a personal trainer and is working out on a regular basis He is always busy which is great for him. He also has structure. They take him on day trips and excursions. Our son is enjoying life and is happy.
We are so thankful we have found Steve and the Manor of Hope. We were at the end of a very dark path and didn’t know where to turn. Our son’s life is now full, and he is growing and maturing every day. He is respectful towards us and is learning boundaries. All things we couldn’t have achieved when he was home. He needs the Manor of Hope and he is also grateful for his time there.
