For the mom who has to make a tough choice at 2am like me, this is the one. I was so nervous about sending my child here based on the reviews, but chose to focus on the few good reviews. This place was great. Rose and the doctor were incredible and actually listened. What I ve been pleading with the doctors for months, they actually did. They took the time to actually listen. I got to visit her actually quite often, like 2-3 times a week, and talk to her twice daily. Everytime I visited, she was clean, happy, had her nails painted at one point and one time was so anxious to go back to finish her craft. This put her on a path to succeed with medications, diagnoses, and services. I think it was harder on me as a parent, than it was for her. I just can t say enough good things about this place.

So, a lot of the reviews said this was a horrible experience, and I became extremely nervous before I went here. Don't listen to these reviews. For the most part, the staff was great and they tried their best and listened to you. There were a few staff members that I did not like very much, but they weren't there very often. One of them would roll her eyes a lot and kinda treat the kids like they were way beneath her, and the other one ran a group that was just very triggering for a ton of kids and even the other staff members were like "Yeah don't listen to a word this guy says." The night shift would be loud sometimes, but the hallway did echo a lot. I think when it comes to the kids behavior it really depends on who is in your group. I was in the teen girls side and there were only two kids who would get into fights, but the rest of them were actually really great and helped me a lot. I think something that's very important to remember is the staff is not against you. They are working to help you the best that they can, and if you have a problem, you can talk about it. Many of the reviews complained about the shower situation, but I was here a few days ago and the showers were okay for the most part. Sometimes there would be a bug or something, but that can't really be helped since this particular location is in the middle of a grass field. Thank you for reading my review, and if you are going to Devereux I wish you the best, and please don't give up on yourself. You are worth the help.

As a mother, when reading these reviews I became very nervous about my child reciving treatment from this facility. I was reminded from someone that most people who write reviews for really anything it is usually only for bad reviews. I am so glad I listened to them because the staff is super friendly, helpful and listen to you as a parent and makes sure your voice is heard. They spend time helping your child and put in alot of work to do so. The nurses are super friendly and helpful with questions! I know it's hard when you have to find a place like this to send your child to, believe me I know.. however I do feel like this is a good place, better than most that I have heard of!

PRC honestly saved my life. I came here with fear, hopelessness, and no spirituality. Trust this program and trust all of the staff here. When I truly began putting in the work, feelings of hopelessness went away, slowly over time. The therapist I was assigned to here, is extremely supportive and knowledgeable. The clinical director here, is overall amazing. Shawn the program housing manager, I cannot thank him enough. Shawn and Brandt continued to let me back here after many slip ups. They let me back because they saw something in me that I did not see in myself. I believed I could never recover, but they saw otherwise. Everyone here loves you until we love ourselves. This place was truly a stepping stone in my life.

I am pleased to give this 5-star review of MRC. I attended PHP and IOP, and had individual counseling twice a week. The counselors are excellent. They encourage a lot of participation in the groups. The topics are relevant to recovery- stress management, 12 steps, nutrition, body-mind connection, gratitude, and a lot more. Weekly yoga is offered and it doesn't matter what level you are. I was supported and cared for all the way through the process of outpatient recovery.

I'm from Long Island NY. I'm on Medicare and Medicaid. It was a struggle to get approval to go here but God got me in. I actually worked on getting there because I could smoke cigarettes which has been a huge barrier to my treatment. I have never experienced this level of care in New York. The medical treatment was wonderful nothing like NY. Most of the groups are run by people in recovery ( Crissy, derron, foxwell, Anthony and Brian) it was life changing to experience groups with people like me. For the first time I actually asked for more time after detox which is a miracle for me. So I'm writing this for the new Yorkers looking for treatment where you can smoke and find it impossible to stay inpatient without cigarettes. Go to this place and get everything you can during your time there. Even if you only get seven days it will change your life. I am soooo grateful for my time there, if you're like me and have been through dozens of treatment facilities...Go here! I am so grateful.

My Journey to this point has consisted of 3 rehabs(not court ordered), 2 DUIs, as well as LOTS of good times, lots of travel, the best Friends and Family! A valuable life worth living! A true Alcoholic that should never ever hold or pick up a drink! Unfortunately now I'm plagued with Kidney and Liver Disease. Initially the mere thought of having a 3 hour meeting with a Therapist and small group was the LAST thing in my Vision. However I need this service for 3 months to possibly get on the Kidney Transplant List. I have grown to truly enjoy Kyle's IOP group. I look forward to it and miss it on Wednesdays and Fridays. Kyle has opened my eyes and nudged me to attend meetings. My answer turned from NO thank you, to I will give AA meetings a go. Keep in mind that I have been in and out of the Program for 20+ years. Guess what? I am enjoying AA meetings now! I dreaded them before. I am grateful to Kyle and his group for pushing me to my next step in Recovery. Such a blessing!! I would highly recommend Key Recovery and Kyle!-Juanita S.

I can’t say enough good things about Pennsylvania Recovery Center. From day one, I felt seen, supported, and genuinely cared for—not as just another client, but as a human being trying to heal. I went through their Intensive Outpatient Program while living in their Recovery Housing, and it was truly life-changing. I’ve been through other programs before, but none of them compared to this experience. Pat, my therapist, was a lifeline. Her compassion, insight, and ability to meet me exactly where I was emotionally and mentally made a huge difference in my growth. She didn’t just talk at me—she listened, challenged me, and helped me see things I had been avoiding for years. Her empathy and professionalism are unmatched. Matt is the glue that holds everything together. He does it all —support staff, coordinator, motivator, sometimes even a pseudo counselor when you need advice. No matter how busy he was, he always made time to check in, offer a ride, or just ask how I was doing. His dedication to the recovery community is obvious and inspiring. Also makes the best lasagna and Mac & cheese in the city. Diana is another rock star. Whether it was helping with appointments, transportation, housing needs, or just being a steady and kind presence, she always showed up with a smile and a solution. She’s the kind of person who works behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly—and you feel it every day. This place isn’t about business—it’s about people. About healing. About giving you the tools and support to rebuild your life. I will always be grateful for what this team did for me. If you're struggling and looking for a place that actually gives a damn, you just found it.

Been to a few IOP's. This one is by far my favorite across the board. The counselors are top-notch! So professional, relatable, and insightful. They really have a way of making ALL feel so comfortable to open up and heal. It feels so much like a family that graduates keep popping back in...just to visit, say hello, and help out. Adult and Teen Challenge of Philadelphia was a Christian based addiction and substance abuse treatment program for people 18 and older. It was a residential program. Their program combined faith based services with evidence based treatments for a comprehensive approach to treatment. They were located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Adult and Teen Ch
I used to volunteer services at Teen Challenge. In 2009 the cost for the entire year was 800.00. I would assume it has increased with inflation but the information stating a cost of $12,000 monthly is inaccurate. If you need help you should consider reaching out to Teen Challenge. Lives are transformed at and through Teen Challenge, do not let the inaccurate information about the cost deter you from getting help. Also, I believe they have ways of acquiring financial assistance if needed. If you have a problem and your tired of it and / or you have been to multiple rehabs, this one is different. Don’t go back to what you know doesn’t work. Heart transformation vs’ behavior modification. Anybody can change their behavior for external reasons, like they got fired from their job, fighting with spouse, ect. and they really believe that they’ve stopped., but two months after getting a new job and the coast is clear guess what creeps back out? When there’s a transformed heart, the desires are abolished, not tucked away for later. Hearts are transformed at Teen Challenge. In 2009 the program was12 months. You might think that’s a long time. If you do nothing 5 years will fly by and you will be where you are now, or worse off, or even dead. Make a move now and imagine the endless possibilities that can happen in five years. New friends, new career, new location, clear, productive mind. Don’t wait. Do it today. “Once a man is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old is gone, and the new has begun.” 2 cor 5:17

I read the cross and the swichblade and my judge sent me there it was the best experience ever . It was a program that was faith based and holy spirit inspired jesus lead us straight to God . As disciples of christ we memorized whole chapters the word was brought to life they were not just words in a book anymore they were how we communicated with God parables psalms proverbs old and new testament it was a whole library a treasure chest full of how holy men were inspired with the Holy Spirit to give sound decrees precepts principles statues commandment and laws that even helped with health marriage social work ethics and moral issues in the family private and public lives of believers . Street ministry is living the word so when others see your hope you get to testify I was 14 than iam 58 now
