As someone in a grey area, i had more clear thoughts than people i was in with. Many things I heard from people who still needed to allow their brain to heal is "they just want our money" yet they are one of the few places that actually help people who can't afford the treatment. And their staff is empathetic and know what you are going through. Trust them they are good people and their system works.I was reluctant at first over the 12 steps. I'm not an addict, i have substance abuse occasionally throughout my life but I'm not disordered that way. But my mental health has been unmanageable so I sought treatment. But im in a gray area stuck in PA due to insurance.Theres not many places for that kind of treatment. Still they again went above and beyond to help.I had to stay more days than I wanted for the result i needed. I had to let them do their jobs, and I did even though I thought I knew the result, which was I'm my opinion 'hopeless'But the last day I gave them, they found somewhere. And ironically even though I found a place specifically for mental health, I still have to take those 12 steps for the housing. Not for the program if signed up for. For the housing since the program has third party housing where its required.Thats when I realized what they kept saying was true. 'we wish people who weren't addicts took those steps' Everyone can benefit from them, even if that higher powers a door knob. Its is blessed by God to help the sick and suffering. Theyre beautiful steps. Which i realized in there, but i didn't think theyd applied to me.I had thought I already took them. I know my resentments and I know where I'm at fault. I have a higher power and I know I'm powerless, but in all reality I never took those first 3 steps properly. And my resentments and faults go deeper than the cycle of anxiety allows me to see.I needed that introduction to it to see that. Immediately coming back to triggers I realized so much due to the information i was given within those walls. Again these are blessed people. You might wanna run when you get in, you might not understand the process, but trust me, and trust the process. You will be baffled by the results if you just do what they say and take those 12 steps. There you should master the first 3, and you'll be introduced to the rest to properly pick out a good sponsor when you get to the next place. You need someone who will throughly go over the rest with you and they train you to seek that if you listen.Do it so you can be baffled by the results and live a good life.

Little Creek Lodge was my first and only rehabilitation facility, leaving me ill-prepared to compare it to any other practice. To preface, I am a young man in my twenties, I have a white collar career, and I'm gay. The idea of coming to an all male facility, trapped with other men for 30-days was a daunting prospect. At the end of my treatment, I've never felt so loved, supported, and valued. The staff have all been through recovery and their testimonials allowed me to trust them. I've been away from the facility for 4 months now, but am still in contact with those who helped me. You'll find no facility that cares for you more than Little Creek. They saved my life.

Serenity mountain changed my life! Between the caring house staff, knowledgeable clinical team and great activities, this is a great place to grow, learn and recover. While I was there, I was able to learn so much, about myself, my disease, and God. We had opportunities to go to off campus activities including drum aerobics, enerchi, yoga, church and even special things like concerts, ice cream runs, local NA/AA meetings and women’s retreats! The councilors genuinely care and want the best for each and every one of the girls on the mountain, and the house staff does everything they can to keep us safe, healthy, and happy throughout our time there. Sandy and Joe genuinely do their best to help each individual woman and truly care about recovery. The food is much better than most rehabs, and the rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. There is even two house dogs, Chloe and poppi, who make adjusting to the mountain much easier and provide great emotional support when needed! Overall, I highly recommend serenity mountain if addiction is something you struggle with, the road to recovery isn’t always easy, but the mountain is a great stopping point along the journey!

Hi my name is Susie, I am an alcoholic and drug addict. My sober date is 8/19/2022. On August 19th, 2022, I entered NHM Barryville, seeking answers to my family and childhood trauma and to learn more about the disease of addiction. I am not the same woman who entered those doors in Barryville almost two years ago. What should be mentioned is that the beginning of recovery is very difficult. 28-Day programs only touch the surface I say this because at 3 months, that s when the real work began. I attended NHM Barryville Inpatient Residential Program for Women for about 6 months. At NHM Barryville, women were able to choose which groups they would like to take. There are five groups that women attend from 8am to 3pm Monday through Friday. Some examples of these groups are ACOA, Brain and Addiction Seminar,Sober Support, WRAP, Meditation Classes, Trauma: the Body Keeps Score, Team Building, Sign Language, DBT, CBT, Microsoft Office, Etc. Think of NHM Barryville as an opportunity to not only learn about how addiction affects your childhood to now, but to learn skills to cope with emotional reactivity, re-enter the workforce and explore hobbies and interests.Women are paired with a case manager/CASAC, and Clinical Social Worker. My CASAC was Abbe. She is kind-hearted, nurturing, and had unwavering patience with me as I began my journey. Deena, is a Clinical Social Worker that has been with the agency for over ten years and has profound knowledge on everything from addiction, any DSM-5 diagnosable mental illness and is a phenomenal advocate for her clients. NHM Barryville is a program that has the potential to open your innermost door to freedom, if you allow it to. It is a tough environment but well worth the time I spent there becoming reacquainted with myself. Other benefits of the program include No cell phone (This is a good thing trust me!), Weekend recreation, opportunities to take leadership roles, Living Room with a TV, Use of computers in the computer lab, In-House physician, family style meals at Holidays, visits with family, etc. I can go on about NHM Barryville, however, rehab is what you make of it. I implore anyone who has a desire to stop using drugs and alcohol and reform their life to take a chance and try it out. After Barryville I had the opportunity to live at NHM Poughkeepsie Transitional Living (Sober House). At NHM POK I learned how to transition back into society. I learned about community resources that could help me in Dutchess County. I overcame numerous fears (i.e. re-entering the workforce, dealing with conflict at work, and with peers, choosing healthy relationships, etc.). I learned the importance of how programs such as outpatient, mental health therapy and Alcoholics Anonymous, would be vital to my recovery when I was discharged and living on my own (all of which I attend today). At NHM POK women have the opportunity to see the CASAC Clinical Social Worker (Elisa) once a week, and attend 2 house meetings. Women are required to re-enter the workforce, with the intention to save money to transition to independence. The Clinical Program Director, Erika, is available every single day from 7am to 3pm. These women have been pivotal in my recovery as well. Lorraine is the Vocational Counselor, She teaches us how to be financially responsible and take accountability in how we manage our professional lives. In addition to Erika, Lorraine and Elisa, Clinical Support Staff is available at all times these women provided me with comfort and safety every step of the way.The key takeaway is that I am blessed to have the opportunity to make contact with women across the board at NHM, Inc. who are aspirational role models of grace and dignity as well as dedicated advocates that helped me reach my goals.

I was in the rehab for 9 months and I went to the reintegration house in Poughkeepsie for 15 months. New Hope has had the best impact on my life. I'm still connected with some of the staff. They genuinely care. If your ready to get sober this is theeeee best choice I will always advocate for New Hope when it comes to women in addiction. I recieved support and guidance in the areas much needed at that time.

The programs they offer are accredited by The Joint Commission, and they accept most major insurance carriers. Currently, the facility offers partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This place changed my life. I have spent the last 10 years rotating different treatment centers and nothing had a more profound and permanent impact on my recovery than water gap.
From every aspect their treatment and experience is the best in class. A lot of the staff / psychiatrists have experienced addiction or mental health challenges in some capacity and to be supported in my recovery process by others who have REAL, lived experience and aren't just college educated / textbook informed academics trying to cure people of problems and challenges they can't relate to or understand from within is just one component of what makes Watergap so unique and so effective. The staff are not only extremely experienced and knowledgeable, but they have a perspective on recovery and healing that you can share and relate to with them, I think this also contributes to how caring the staff are, they really all take such a personal and deep interest in your recovery vs this just being a way to pay the bills and put their degree to use (which I have seen at many places).
Beyond the staff and recovery approach being incredible and also unique, the grounds are absolutely stunning with world class amenities. The natural beauty surrounding the facility allows your mind and soul to really connect with nature in the healing process and there are also such a wide range of amenities it feels like being at a luxury resort. From a massage/spa room, hiking in the beautiful Poconos mountains, group yoga and meditation, themed dinner nights, a glass sun room for yoga sessions, a beautiful golf course, daily hikes, a swimming pool - there are endless ways at Watergate to stay constantly entertained, distracted, challenged and inspired.
I am so thankful for Watergate for changing my life and can't say enough good things about my experience and the treatment I received there.

GHG Homecare has truly made a difference in my life and my mothers life as well. Our case manager Megan has been such a delight to work with, she is always there doesn't matter the day or time. I am very grateful to her as I was able to join the GHG Homecare team and care for my mother while still earning an income. Megan has made this transition so easy. Thank you Megan for all you do!

Redco workers are truly amazing. Very friendly and very open minded. They don't push all kinds of medications and they don't switch them so much like other places. They truly help with keeping your moods stable. Gotta be open and honest for mental health care or its not going to be good. I totally recommend Redco.
