It is great this place is open on cold nights all night after 9pm and through much of the day. There are snacks and coffee and a place to stay. I had another DUI conviction and decided I needed help for my problem. I went to ccdaec before I had to by court it was the best thing I could have done for myself but ultimately went to jail and I saw a councilor while I was incarcerated which helped. I made the first four steps but then was released and I started my court ordered counciling which included groups and individual counciling. If you knew me you would know I'm not good with change or new people. I've never felt more comfortable with the counselor s I was assigned to. They brought out all of the things I have never talked about before. They made me so comfortable and supported me like I have never known before. I would like to take this time to say thank you for all that you have done for me but unfortunately without you in my life I have relapsed once again but thank you for trying it was a good run when you all were in my life. You should feel a vibe with your counselor and a trust which is hard to come by. I've found that vibe and trust with two counselors from regional counseling, one in Franklin named Nichole and one in oil city named Carrie. I've been blessed by having met them. They were very supportive got me through a lot of hard times I didn’t have the greatest upbringing, but the first time I fell in love With a boy, he was a resident there as well. I don’t have a whole Lotta great memories in my life, but I remember being there and I remember having somebody that I could talk to whether it was a staff member or staff member in the unit. The counselors used to sing a song and play guitar and it was such an amazing song and this day I remember that song, I remember going on activities and playing baseball and finally for the first time in my life having somebody that actually listen to me I would actually love to be able to get a hold of an employee there. His name is Glenn. The hub area felt great as you could walk around and see through the activity rooms and see through the outside windows instead of a straight up prison feeling. The staff including the cafeteria was very helpful and were in a good mood knowing these people work crazy hours so they definitely made my stay more enjoyable. I feel like God sent me here not just for myself but to help out others with conversations to give them something to lean on hopefully once they move on with their lives just like I was at peace with God during my stay which helped me overall to be better. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone even if it's just peace you need as I did. I actually felt like I had more freedom here besides being locked up of course but overall it was a great experience for a mental institution. The staff here better be getting good raises and quarterly bonuses to keep them as they really made my stay more worth it. I can’t say enough good things about this facility. The staff, they were so great! Especially Sharon, who works the front desk. Wonderful person. Compassionate and helpful. My daughter can’t stop talking about the positive experience she had. She has been talking in medical terms about her mental health issues. To me, that means she learned. She also made some great relationships with the other kids. The kids are treated like humans and not like some other facilities. The accommodations are nice and comfortable. What I liked most about it was they definitely taught me how I can have fun sober. We went for walks, bowling, church, fishing, got to see pigs, and meetings AA and NA, pottery, and the gym it was by far the best rehab I’ve ever been to!!! The staff really cares about your recovery. I am now 1month sober and counting! I feel awesome!!! Shoutout to my counselor Cami she was the absolute best!!! I would recommend this place for anyone trying to get sober. There are only 28 beds which is great! Cause then everyone has time to truly stay focused on their recovery and why they’re there. They're great at taking you off-grounds for different things such as church, NA/AA meetings, walks if it's nice out, etc. The food is great, and there's always snacks to eat in between meals. My room felt more like a college dorm room than a room at a rehab, complete with its own private bathroom and shower.
