I ve been here 4 times, actually. Only completed twice. The other two I was there for a day maybe. I wasn t ready. However, I was forced, essentially, to go back in 2015. I was So broken. Was coming off of a 5 year heroin habit. Had just gotten hit with my 3rd dui in 10 years( mine were years apart). Pleaded into drug court. Court ordered here then their affiliated halfway house: the Lighthouse . The staff was unbelievable. I ve never had support like that with such kindness and genuine care and compassion. They helped build me up. They gave me the tools I needed for the next steps of my recovery. I couldn t stay clean for 4 hours let alone 4years. Which I ended up achieving after the Lighthouse. This place provides the tools and staff and environment for one to develop the structure, support, discipline and knowledge they need to actually get clean and achieve long-lasting sobriety/recovery. Thank you for saving my life, and all the others you all help If you re struggling, please reach out to them. We are losing too many parents, siblings, and friends. I ve been resuscitated more times than I can count. However, these people have never given up on me, and please don t give up on yourself. It s so dangerous any more. Hopefully I ll see you at some meetings

I spent 35 days here in September of 2022 and absolutely loved it. by far the best rehab I ve ever been to. I didn t want to leave when it came time to go. the staff was super caring and polite, Melissa made sure to always let me know how worthy I am of being sober and was always so positive about everything, with her bright smile. the nursing staff was nothing less than phenomenal, sometimes short staffed but they always made it work and listened to my every need. the food was awesome, you can choose from a few different choices each day on a weekly menu they hand out. calls home to my family were plentiful, I was able to call every single night. I was never able to do that at any other rehab I ve been to, maybe 3x a week at most. so that was amazing to say the least. it s a very small tight knit community, I think 22-25 patients, gender mixed. they d take us to the park on nice days and let us take a walk or play cornhole, throw a football, or just chill and listen to music. the showers were AMAZING. great pressure, not too hot and not too cold. just perfect. the beds were very comfy which I was surprised because they were small and I am 6 6 .. but I slept like a baby every night after detox. Detox was a bit rough but I think that s a given no matter where you go. it s all about what YOU make of it during detox. 5/5 stars I d give 6/5 if I could. this would be my first choice every time from here on out, if I were to ever need to go back, or if I had to refer a friend, this would definitely be the place!!!

Allied Addiction Recovery has been one of the best desicions I have made for my recovery! The meetings that I attend through the week help a lot! Cassandra, the therapist whom runs group is just amazing at what she does! She genuinely cares, and goes above and beyond to help each individual reach their goals and full potential! She has helped me personally through a lot of hard times! The atmosphere is light and positive. However for some the group classes could possibly be a bit overwhelming at first. I am required to do 3hr groups 3 times a week. It just takes a little bit of motivation and determination! Everyone is different and need different things to successfully recover from addiction. Changed my life for the better. I was a lost soul before the N/A teachings at WELLNESS RECOVERY. Was sent by parole and was just there to go with the flow initially, but the staff and counselors were so understanding of my disease they knew time was on their side. I didn t kno him before his recovery but between him and the owner, aside from my father I don t know a more stand up honorable man then them two truly out to help people in it for all the right reasons. As I sat in a local ER, my child was in crisis. I was at a complete loss and terrified. I was thrust into a world of mental health I knew nothing about. The doctor explained that my son would need to be admitted into a hospital that specializes in these things. When word came to me that Southwood would be his destination, I quickly went to google to look at reviews to calm my heart. I was devastated to see bad reviews. That very evening, while still in the local ER, I received my first call from the facility. A man named Christian walked me through the process that was to come. He was kind and patient. I felt a tiny bit better. The next day, we arrived at the facility. We were met by Christian. My son was admitted. I was soon contacted by my son s social worker. Her name was Sydney. She would be my main contact for any concerns. I was given her phone number to call anytime. She facilitated visits between my son and I that took place daily. She called every morning to tell me about his medication, doses, and any changes, as well as how his night had gone. She answered many questions, and if she didn t know, she would find out and promptly call me back. My son was also allowed an evening phone call to me that he could tell me goodnight. The communication was on point. All of the staff were warm and welcoming. At each of my daily visits I would meet more staff that were helping my son in different ways, and generally being encouraging.Above all the rest was a wonder man named Aaron. He would become my saving grace. He has a way of connecting to my child, and myself. He could talk my son through, and ease his fears. He took the time to really learn about my son, and used that information to further engage with him. I truly feel that made such a stunning impact on my child s recovery. He was honest in his approach, empathetic in his delivery, and skilled with his care.I am sorry if you are a parent who has just run to google and found that only people that have a complaint have left reviews. I am here to tell you that Southwood was exactly the place that my son needed to be. In the weeks he was there, the staff was compassionate, and knowledgeable. The communication with my family was detailed, and frequent. I never had a question left unanswered. Dr. Gupta was on top of things at all times. My son is now home, and continues his recovery journey. Southwood was efficient on making certain that we had follow up care set up upon our return home. I am and forever will be grateful for all of the staff at Southwood.
