I went to Ace Recovery after detox, flew there from Florida actually. Initially was staying for 30 days, but after about a week I decided to stay for 60. I could truly feel being there would change the direction of my life.
I am eternally grateful for the beautiful space they have there, and the classes and meetings that they have set up. They really have a fantastic program that is so well rounded, programs all over the country should be modeled after it.
Jeff is an absolute Saint and a spectacular mentor, grateful I got to learn so much from such an inspiring and insightful man.
I could talk all day about how wonderful it was honestly, God flows through this program, grateful I was given the opportunity to experience it myself.

I have had nothing but a positive experience so far! I moved from Florida to North Carolina on July 30th 2025. I needed a new outpatient facility to go to and this place ended up being LITERALLY 2 MINS from my new home! They told me, to be seen, I was able to come in any time on a Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The day I walked in I did a psychosocial analysis right away with a doctor on Zoom, and then they got me set up with a follow-up appointment with the psychiatrist within 1 week. I went to the facility, sat in a room and met with the doctor on Zoom. They arranged for me to do a weekly virtual outpatient group, again on zoom, and medication assisted treatment for the Suboxone and mental health medications I take. It is very important for me to have my medication and this place made sure I did NOT miss one dose. The transfer from my Florida outpatient facility to this one was a smooth transition. 5 stars!

Great doctor visits and virtually is a super helpful! The therapists are ok, I guess you really have to find the right one for you. My first therapist was a major problem but when I got the courage and encouragement from others to speak up, I was set up with a new therapist and my first therapist was handled appropriately. Overall a good place to get guidance for your mental health. Keeping your mental health in good shape is extremely important and I would recommend Monarch any day to assist with that.

I don't leave reviews... so the one and only review that I will leave will be for the place that gave me a hope when I had none. I went to this facility July 9, 2018. One of the instructors there said that he had never relapsed and when he picked up his chip he wasn't going back to have to pick it up again. This challenged me... I have been sober for 6 years now. This facility taught me surrender. It taught me humility. It gave me a soft cushion to land while learning these lessons about the terrible person I was. It offered me a hand to help me up... most of all... it gave me a plan of how to live and never get back into the condition I had gotten myself into. I carry the Big Book with me everywhere I go in my van with my now 3 children. I am a child of God, I am a wife, and I am a mother. Thank you Owls Nest Recovery... may you be proud of the difference you make in the world. You are making sober soldiers that carry this message to others. God is moving in this place... keep it up!

I went to this safe haven back in 2016 and they helped save my life. Today is 2024. I have stayed clean since. This place is truly a blessing. I was at the old facility and my PC family was amazing. I met so many people wonderful souls and have amazing memories with them. Thanks to Kelvin Durant for putting a fire under me and challenging me to stay clean. It worked. Just for today I’m still here and lived to tell the tale. I recommend it to anyone.

Best decision I ever made was to come here, July 25th, 2010. I'll b 14yrs sober in july!! I have never regretted that decision to get clean. Thank uuu all for yallz help, support, and looove!! If anyone's still there from waaay bk when, I'm the one who made all the kandi for everyone there and ppl were calling me "the butterfly lady". I'm constantly telling ppl about this facility. There's only 4 of us, myself included that has been sober since they left there. Unfortunately alot of ppl went bk out in their addictions and are no longer alive and some are bk in prison. But, that's the price u pay when u don't take the program seriously or u don't really wanna get clean!! I'm sooo thankful I wanted this for myself and the Lord Jesus Christ has kept me sober since!! I can't thank Peggy Lombardo (Alumni Coordinator) enough for saving a family member's life. She befriended "Will" long before he was willing to seek help. He was never alone in life because she checked on him regularly and gently coaxed him into getting the help that he desperately needed.
Approximately 7 months after reaching out, Will made the decision to better his life by accepting Peggy's offer of help. Once his decision was made, Peggy instantly started moving mountains to get him the help he needed. She was in daily contact with his family offering her advice, supplying helpful contact information, and even talking him through his fears when they became too great and he wanted to run.
As a result of Peggy's unrelenting quest to help Will, he has received a Certificate of Completion from the Midwood Addiction Program where he received counseling, housing, a sense of community, independence, and gradually took control of his life again.
A little over a month after graduating, Will has found employment and is ready to start this new healthy chapter in his life. When asked if he ever talks to Peggy anymore, the answer is "yes! she's full of valuable resources.".
How do you thank someone who has saved the life of someone you thought was lost forever? There is no repayment plan that could ever be enough for this angel on earth. Peggy will always be our angel. She truly has an amazing gift and we are forever in her debt.

Great place! Coming into this I was a little skeptical about being treated well. The staff and therapist took their time with me, to tend to my needs as a new patient. I had some bumps along the way until I met Evie Dillard. She was so helpful to me by giving me extra resources to get ready to exit treatment. Lemme tell you about the housing situation 1st.
I read the good reviews and the horrible and the bad kinda concerned me.
I can tell you the bad was not only exaggerated but most just someone salty and spreading total BS.
There are no rodents and I've never been to a house that had zero bugs not even a fly before I got here, not even my father's house. Ok so these 2 floor some with a upper smoking/ lounge deck are nice nice! 4 bedroom 3 full double sink bathrooms , two with walk-in shower , I bath / shower and a half bath by living room. It's fully stocked with any pans coffee pot anything you need.
The staff are some of the nicest ppl and you absolutely get to know them.
You are treated pretty much how you treat them. Just be kind!
Midwood center was the one I went to and the staff there are always awesome. If you need something just speak up, I've seen ppl come through and expect everyone to be mind readers.
I would list everyone I love at Harmony but I'm horrible with names but there are standouts.

She is absolutely a gift from God and deserves to be the highest paid at Harmony!

It was a pretty good nine day stay. Enjoyed smoke breaks and some access to music. Some staff were very helpful some even took up for me when other patients attempted to harass me. It wasn't perfect but most things aren't and it was so so much better than the abuse I was dealing with at home. However they focused on my diagnosis too much instead of addressing the fact I came in for suicidal ideation and such. Most staff were friendly, joyful, and accommodating. Didn't like the snoring roommates lol but overall my stay here was pretty good and I found it helpful to be there. One problem one of the staff didn't quite respect my religion and tried to get me to say praise Jesus and stuff when I'm a die hard spiritual Satanist and my faith is what's most important to me. Anyway I thank the staff, nurses, techs, providers, and counselors for being friendly and somewhat reasonable in all situations. 9 out of 10 rating would recommend to certain disabled people who are patient, respectful, and reasonable enough to not be disrespectful all the time. This place has had its fair share of up-and-down in the last 10 years. But what I can say, is this, There is a counselor named Keith if you were a seasoned addict and you need genuine counselor, I want you to request Keith. This man has been in my life for 10 years, and as I came back-and-forth between clinics, he always became my counselor again. Never judgmental, Always always rational and you can’t help but to put a smile on your face when you’re around him his aura, It is purple. And I’m telling you right now he is a blessing to this place. The program director is also a counselor that has been there for a while and moved her way up. She is also fair and a sweetheart tells me to have a good morning every day. The financial person that does insurance she will work with you as long as you are doing for yourself and trying to make a better way for yourself they will help you. I am from California, I spent 3 months at the facility. They definitely over charge you for treatment. Their facilities aren't the best....however there are some people here doing almighty work. One such person is Hakim. He is a counselor here. He is a good man with a good heart, he cares about people. I wish he would transfer to California and be my counselor there. He really helped to see many things in a different way. He's very passionate about his patients and the job he does. I would guess they don't pay him nearly enough for how valuable he is to this facility. I hope to see Hakim again one day. There is also Jay who is often the only nurse in the dispensery. A great guy and always has a kind word. I'll miss these guys very much....they probably have no idea how much what they do impacts people's lives....or maybe they do. Either way folks like them are rare in today world.

This is a response to the last review I see, the lady with a small star on her icon. Methadone is a safe medication, it stops withdrawals from illicit opiates and does not get the person in treatment "high", which allows the patient to get their lives back. Please educate yourself on methadone and methadone treatment centers.

Obviously the people saying "one addiction for another" has very limited understanding of this treatment and addiction. Yes, this treatment can take years. This verses cold turkey/abstaining is night and day with success rates. Or I like to call that the "just pray about it and hope" method. BTW it doesn't work. If it did, nobody would have an addiction. These people complaining are still failing drug test and trying to play the system. Eventually u have to admit defeat and surrender to ur recovery and stop trying to use illegal substances by counting days till ur testing is done or sneaking in urine or basically trying to manipulate ur recovery process. I promise u will get out of recovery what energy u put into it as well . Yes, there are a couple nursed that seem to not get we r patients and we pay thousands of dollars a year to be there and yet they treat us as if we r at the dmv. One is down right rude and doesn't even look at us. She will not speak to us u less ahe has to. We will not miss her when she goes we just really hope she leaves soon.

Can't brag about this facility enough, especially L&D. Nurses, great! Doctors, awesome! Facility in general, clean, nice, a little hard to navigate, but I figured it out. Food was a little lacking, but its a hospital, I wasnt expecting filet mignon. We were on vacation and had to be there in an emergency situation, and they made us feel better and more reassured than our doctors back where we're from.
