Kimberly Lee 1 month ago People don’t usually consider rehabilitation to be a “pleasurable” experience. We associate rehabilitation with discomfort and moving away from the feeling of pleasure. Because that is what we were seeking through drugs and alcohol; pleasure and comfort. The day I returned home from S2L, someone asked me if my time in recovery had been difficult. My answer was, “It was not nearly as difficult as it probably could have been or should have been. Though there are people who struggle more than others.” After I had some time to really consider that question and my answer, I realized that the reason my experience had seemingly been so easy was because I was finally doing what God was calling me to do. Living a life of surrender to His will. The difficult part for me, was the life I was living before treatment, when I was trying to live my life according to my own will. When we reach a place of desperation where we are willing to surrender all, that is when true healing can take place. The Lord is working through this ministry. They are working in accordance with God’s will. They are saving lives, both physically and more importantly spiritually. I am eternally grateful for this place and for the staff. They want to see people live lives of abundance. It is a beacon set on a hill, where Christ’s light shines. They were there when I needed them. Staff members were awesome, took the time to listen and understand my situation. Dr. M. Slatton, Dr. L. Atkinson, and case manager Grace Reynolds were my doctors, friends, and most of all my rock. My therapist Dr. Slatton was there to help me with my problems and mental health. Always gave the right advice. Dr. Atkinson made sure that my meds were right for me. And case manager Grace Reynolds has made sure that I had everything I needed to get and always asked if there was anything that she can help me with even if it was food transportation. Always had her heart to help me in any of my needs. Overall, my five years experience at this facility which includes staffs and personnel, it was excellent. People have been saved from the powers of Drug addiction, obsessive behaviors, destructive lifestyles, Wrong beliefs about who they are, marraiges restored, families healed and that which may be holding you back from who you can become when your life is "on Target". To truly be the people GOD wants us to be isn't impossible or unrealistic! It isn't about what we "do", it's discovering who we "are" and believing in what we "Have" and what's been done ! Restoration and recovery is Not something you earn or a road map you must follow...I learned this after multiple failed attempts and looking for answers using nearly all the traditional methods. Some provided temporary results in my behavior but I seemed to go back to bad habits, no matter what recovery program I tried. Only the tools and wisdom gained through this ministry and their understanding of GOD through Jesus showed lasting results. I discovered areas of my life that were unhealthy that I didn't even recognize and we are all a work in progress and can be set free from the law of sin waging war in our hearts and minds and be transformed. What the 180 team teaches through Steve's life story and leadership is powerful stuff and transformational. My advice, Give them a chance, check out the book or talk to the staff. I was drinking so much I was falling and hurting myself and ruining my marriage and on a path to possibly loosing job and even land myself in jail. I was miserable and at rock bottom. Once there after the detox period i started attending group therapy sessions, individual therapy session’s sessions, and working with the techs to become involved in my recovery process. First 5 days i was detoxing and once that was over i got super involved in the program and day by day got better each day. I received excellent nursing and medical provider support. I had amazing group therapy sessions. I was fed delicious meals every day. I had a great case manager and had a primary therapist who was absolutely perfect. The staff was absolutely first class and my treatment started me on a successful path to recovery. This place literally changed my life. They took care of my every need physically, mentally, and emotionally. I highly recommend if you need help for addiction this is where you need to be. My experience at Brentwood Springs was amazing for the most part. I only had problems with one particular nurse who refused to give me medication that the doctor had already ordered, causing me to be in withdrawal for three days from a medication that I had no plans on stopping. Apparently, she had her own personal reasons for not wanting to give me my medication. She felt like I shouldn’t be taking it to begin with??? Once a more experienced nurse came in, though she took care of it and fixed the problem. The entire staff is kind and caring. The medication’s are very customized to each individual. When I felt like I was getting sick they extended my taper to make sure that I was not uncomfortable. The meals are catered or homemade. The kitchen pantry is stocked as well as the refrigerator and freezer. There are plenty of drinks and snacks including juice and fruit. I was able to reach out to my family on a regular basis and was given great advice about aftercare. I would recommend them to anyone seeking help in recovery. Daye 3 months ago I'd give out 10 stars if I could. I checked into to Brentwood Springs Detox without knowing how great it would be. I found them on the internet and pulled the trigger. They drove an hour to pick me up free of charge. Upon checking it they greeted me with an understanding of my situation. This helped put my mind at ease as I was already overwhelmed with stress of checking into a Detox center. They are very attentive of how you're feeling and immediately come up with a game plan for treatment. They are very professional in every aspect with your treatment and are open to you at all times if you are feeling a certain type of way, but at the same time every staff member is super laxed. The nurses are amazing and are available to you 24 hours a day. You can tell that they truly want to help you. I don't feel out of place here. The food is great, the people are great, and the way they have this place set up makes it feel like you are at home. They have tv's with all kinds of apps and cable. The whole place is clean and well kept. The rooms are clean. The meetings they set up are absolutely amazing and have helped me tremendously. They have a beautiful backyard with great views which is crucial to your feeling of well being (at least for me) Cameron is great as well. In the 3 days that I've been here he's given me tons of knowledge and advice and has made sure to check up on me and how I'm feeling. Again, the whole staff truly wants to help you. You can talk to them at all times about anything and they will all completely understand. I would recommend this place to anybody I know that needs help, and hopefully this review will help all of you who are searching the best place to help you and everything you are going through.
