My problem has never been diagnosed. I have tried to get an assessment on my mental health. But the only thing focused on was my drinking problem. Never did they try to diagnose why I was having the problems with alcohol. Sometimes one's childhood trauma is overlooked. People are so quick to judge. I will deal with my pain as best as I can. If I could give zero stars, I would. The older lady therapist there decided it would be a good idea to go condescending to me when I'm in the room with my mother who has actively tried to kill me. Sure, I got loud, but I'm half deaf and agitated at the time. You guys really need to fire your entire staff and go do something useful, like learn how to identify signs of late stage abuse. You might could save lives that way.

I used to receive services here for my mental health issues. I had Nancy and she was amazing. She was right on dosages and when needing to swap medications. Everyone does well at the Welch Clinic. I now work at the Welch Clinic and I love it. They have great teamwork there.

What a great community resource. Staff (administration and clinical) are attentive, compassionate and really embrace community service models. Case management for when you have children with complex medical histories has proven to be an great foundation for care. I recommend for any parent whose child needs general counseling. Mental Heath is just as important as physical healthcare.

Please read the whole review, I know it’s long, but there’s important stuff that really might help you out if you’re thinking about becoming a patient. Always keep in mind however, that you get out of it what you put into it. The counselors there are wonderful, especially Amber. She has advocated for me, she helped me get Medicaid so my medicine is free now which is amazing. She always tells me how proud she is of me and reminds me how much progress I’ve made when I’m starting to feel like I’m screwing up, sometimes you just need to hear that. I know that I can always depend on her. My first counselor was Dan he was wonderful, but I just thought that I would benefit more from having a female counselor. I also know that Ray is wonderful, but any of the counselors would be more than happy to help you if you can’t find yours. The only problems I have with this place are how difficult it is to get them on the phone sometimes, also one of the nurses is kind of rude, I understand that it is a difficult job however. The rest of the nurses are very kind especially April! Also Treva The nursing coordinator is an absolute nightmare. She was rude to me from the second I walked into that building. She for some reason has a personal issue with me and makes it known. That is so unprofessional you’re supposed to keep your opinions outside the door. That kind of stuff will send people back out and then they die. Other than that it’s great! The front desk lady is wonderful, the Director is absolutely wonderful, I enjoy the group Therapy, and if you’re doing the right thing and passing your drug test, you will phase up very quickly there. I’m already to two weeks, whereas at another clinic it probably would’ve taken me A year or even longer to get to that point. There was a time that I never thought I would even get a single take home and I’m already to two weeks! So thank you new river comprehensive treatment center. If it weren’t for you I would probably be dead, not only that but my mental health has improved drastically since I started there. One more person I would like to mention is Diana who does the Medicaid and financial stuff (I think)she is also extremely helpful and kind if you ever need help with anything.

The staff are VERY friendly. The accommodations were adequate. The food is pretty good. It's clean and well organized. It's a nice place to visit, but you wouldn't want to live there.

I love Savida in Abingdon Va. They have helped me through my journey of sobriety. They are willing to help in any way they can. Thanks to them, I am 5 years sober. I never knew my life could be this amazing, and I'm able to be a better person , and mother to my babies that I always wanted to be. And at times that it does get hard they are there. I’ve been coming here forever and Dr.Gardner is by far one of the best doctors I’ve had the pleasure having he’s attentive he remembers things he’s down to earth and he has compassion common sense and he’s understanding..AND KATIE AND ANGEL make tht place feel at home! Those ladies are constantly running around taking care of so many ppl and they still rmbr ur name and build a relationship with u make u feel comfortable and safe to b urself and I believe having a good vibe is by far the best part!! I got my life back because of willow and I’m thankful every single day. I will ALWAYS recommend Willow to others looking for help and know they are in great care.
Jenny, the director is such a loving and caring woman that really goes above and beyond for her patients and her employees. All of the techs and the therapist got me through the hardest parts of my life and helped to pull me out of a black hole I never thought I could escape.

I came to Willow Ridge at the lowest point in my life. I was scared and didn't know where to turn. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel safe and supported. The counselors are compassionate and truly understand addiction. The therapy sessions were incredibly helpful, and I learned so much about myself and the underlying causes of my addiction.
What sets Willow Ridge apart is the sense of community. I connected with other patients who were going through similar struggles, and we supported each other every step of the way. The group activities and outings were also a lot of fun and helped me rediscover some of my passions.

These people saved me! From the doctors, nurses, and counselors. To even the office manager and receptionist. These people really care! They don’t treat you like less of a person because of your “situation” they are respectful and professional. Honestly, if more treatment centers would follow the lead of this one. I probably would have gotten help 10 years ago. If you are 110 percent serious about getting help. And you choose to go the maintenance route. This is the place! I never would have made it if the staff wasn’t as supportive as they are. So thank you to everyone there! They listened to me when absolutely no body else would! They didn’t judge me when absolutely everyone else did! they were kind to me, when no one else was! And they had faith in me, when even I had no faith in myself!

The ladies up front and the nurses are all the reason this place is such a great place to get treatment at. Everyone there really cares, and they don't act like they are better then you . They are great people who make it worth your while to go to McLeod . They do not judge , and they treat you with much respect. Love all you ladies up front and all the nurses!

My counselor is wonderful. She honestly cares about me. Takes time to listen, she's understanding, gives advice and is very personable. The nurses are all so nice and they care about you too. The ladies that check you in, I love them. So very nice. Every person in the building is amazing. If you want help, they're there and will give you 100% of their time. I am so glad I decided to get my life together. The most, I'm glad I went there, to a place that really cares! Going there is the best decision I've ever made. So thankful for every single person there!!!
Edit... one reason I stopped going is because they (nurses) are not fair to all patients. 2 test exactly the same and 1 gets weekly take homes and the other doesn't. It was 1 nurse that was the 1 that did it over and over. I love those people and they really did save me, but fairness in take home's isn't consistent.

I’ve received the best care here! The staff are so helpful and very supportive and they actually care about whatever you’re going through. They also listen to you and get the right resources to get the best care you need and they help you every step of the way! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I’ve searched for a good therapist and psychiatrist team for a long time and I’ve absolutely found it here! They seem to really care and are very genuine and patient. They are not there to push medication and get you out the door, they take the time to understand your symptoms and background to find ways that will help the most. I’d recommend them to everyone.

Hope Valley was excellent. I have been to 2 other treatment centers and Hope Valley's curriculum, counselors, AA/NA knowledge and guidance far exceeded the others. I have come away feeling clear, happy and now have the tools and knowledge of how to live a meaningful sober life. So grateful for this place. Hope Valley helped me get my mind straight and my life back on track and I’m thankful. The staff were very helpful & knowledgeable. If you had a problem or just needed to talk to somebody, they were there to help you. If anyone is looking for a treatment facility, I would highly recommend checking out Hope Valley before you go anywhere else. The food was also very good and they gave you PLENTY of it.
