I has a great experience with them. This is a small facility and pretty much in the middle of nowhere so you have to understand that it may be tough to get through on the phone. Once I was able to talk to someone it was a great transaction. They answered all of my questions and was extremely friendly about everything. I appreciate their help since I was not from that area. Please read the whole review, I know it’s long, but there’s important stuff that really might help you out if you’re thinking about becoming a patient. Always keep in mind however, that you get out of it what you put into it. The counselors there are wonderful, especially Amber. She has advocated for me, she helped me get Medicaid so my medicine is free now which is amazing. She always tells me how proud she is of me and reminds me how much progress I’ve made when I’m starting to feel like I’m screwing up, sometimes you just need to hear that. I know that I can always depend on her. My first counselor was Dan he was wonderful, but I just thought that I would benefit more from having a female counselor. I also know that Ray is wonderful, but any of the counselors would be more than happy to help you if you can’t find yours. The only problems I have with this place are how difficult it is to get them on the phone sometimes, also one of the nurses is kind of rude, I understand that it is a difficult job however. The rest of the nurses are very kind especially April! Also Treva The nursing coordinator is an absolute nightmare. She was rude to me from the second I walked into that building. She for some reason has a personal issue with me and makes it known. That is so unprofessional you’re supposed to keep your opinions outside the door. That kind of stuff will send people back out and then they die. Other than that it’s great! The front desk lady is wonderful, the Director is absolutely wonderful, I enjoy the group Therapy, and if you’re doing the right thing and passing your drug test, you will phase up very quickly there. I’m already to two weeks, whereas at another clinic it probably would’ve taken me A year or even longer to get to that point. There was a time that I never thought I would even get a single take home and I’m already to two weeks! So thank you new river comprehensive treatment center. If it weren’t for you I would probably be dead, not only that but my mental health has improved drastically since I started there. One more person I would like to mention is Diana who does the Medicaid and financial stuff (I think)she is also extremely helpful and kind if you ever need help with anything.

Great place,with great people taking the best of care for you. Would go back again to them if I had to am would resend them to others. They have taken care of me an my husband and an we both just loved them. Every body nursing,PT,dietary,house keeping an all who helped me get to were I am now God Bless Each of You.

Everyone there always showed utmost kindness and care for me. The doctors, the nurses, the assistants, the therapists, the cleaning staff, and cafeteria staff are all very competent at their jobs.

I absolutely love everyone here! My doctor and therapist have been extremely honest,helpful and caring to my needs. I don’t think I could’ve found anyone better to get me on track with my mental health again.

This facility changed my life. I came to them with no hope. I had nothing to my name and here I was able to get back into a healthy state of mind with the help of the staff and I was put into a position to win. I will always recommend this program for anyone struggling with addiction.

I’ve been seeing Jason for therapy for a little over a year and he is awesome. I never had good experiences with therapist until I met him. He’s super personable and just makes the experience fun and like you’re actually being heard instead of judged. Highly recommend him for therapy or just Daymark in general for your emotional/mental health services

There are some very caring people here and some pretty awesome ones too!

Accountability is what held me back from being the best me. I needed that to keep me on the best path. They hold you accountable for your actions there, ppl may not like that and want to be mad when csught up, but you get what you put into life. Also, NONE OF THE PICTURES ARE FROM THE BTC lol. Idk why the didn't use real photos. Eh it's all good though.

This place has had some of the best fist fights I’ve ever seen! You can watch some entertaining things while waiting to dose. Then if you need a little extra kick you find it right out in the parking lot! Good times, good times! I never wanted to quit anyway I just wanted a cheap, reliable dealer and I have finally found her. I traded a weedeater last week for my dose. You can’t just do that anywhere!

Have been here many times for Mental Health therapy sessions. In process of getting transferred here from Asheville VA Medical Center for my Primary Care Provider as my long time doctor, Scott Cassidy, M.D. has retired. Starting with a new doctor here, 1 hour and 10 minutes closer to home. Received great, friendly, prompt and professional care as a walk-in patient. With no assigned doctor, they still treated me with respect and dignity. Highly recommend the Hickory VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic.

No waiting time, Great Drs and Staff ,No problems with RECEIVING medicine, One of America's top V.A.CLINIC.

Need newer food they make us clean they make us have 10 min showers other than that it was good

I was there as a boy and I can honestly say it changed my life for the best. I was out of control and it gave me structure and set me on a path to success. This is a honest statement. The school is great also. I Graduated there in 09. It's more than sufficient for people wanting to go to college.

Background and research! Pastor Steve is NO LONGER the director. When you read through those reviews please know that! Call and speak with the current director Clint. My son went through in 2021. I was there in 2006 to 2007. It was a blessing being apart of this ministry serving and being served by others in the same grip of addiction. If you truly want to change your life I highly recommend this program or another program just like this as it will change your life !

As a mom, this place is awesome. It has new leadership and is the only place that has made a difference in my son's life. Is it easy? Absolutely not! But nothing in life worth while is easy.
