Reid Wilson PhD is a superb cognitive behavior therapist, very highly regarded by the rest of us CBTers. For anyone with panic disorder, agoraphobia, OCD, phobias or an anxiety disorder treatment by Dr. Wilson would include the most advanced, cutting edge techniques, delivered with caring and compassion. I have been here for a long time and have 27 take homes. If u actually wanna get clean and not just use it bc u can’t find anything else than the place is good plus since getting a new head nurse “that we needed so bad” n when Anna was the director things have gotten much better. even tho Anna is not there anymore she got it together and it seems like the new director is following her lead, the only bad thing I can say about Baart is if someone skips line or being disrespectful and you say something then I would be punished by holding my take homes over my head while the other person who started the mess has no take home’s receive no kinda punishment.

They offer parenting classes, therapy, child therapy, case workers, they house you while you are there and make sure you have somewhere safe to stay when you leave. I was allowed an extension by 2 months just to make sure I had somewhere to go since I was homeless when I came in. The staff are stern in policy but they truly care! They wouldn't be in this if they didnt! That's for sure! My daughter will be 10 in a couple months and I catch myself using the things I learned in parenting classes I took here before she was even born! I love my doctors! I've never had a doctor or their office actually meet me halfway. My therapist and psychiatrist are always there when I need them. I don't have to worry about making sure that I have a ride to get to and from my appointments, the virtual visits are very convenient, especially when you're a single parent. They work around the minor inconveniences when you have kids in the background yelling for you. They don't keep you on the phone any longer than needed, when you're the only parent taking care of them. The patient portal is very convenient as well, especially after hours. You can still get a hold of them to talk about changes to your information, needing to make or cancel an appointment, etc...they say that it could take up to 2 days for a reply. But I've never had to wait, but just a few minutes to get a message back.

I cannot say enough great things about the Durham VA Health Care System. I am 50 years old and have been treated by many VA and civilian doctors over the years — and I can honestly say Dr. Suggs is the best doctor I have ever had in my life. He is knowledgeable, patient, compassionate, and truly takes the time to listen. He made me feel heard and cared for, not rushed. That kind of dedication means everything.
The Dental Clinic was just as impressive. Mrs. Davis was incredibly helpful and answered every single one of my questions with kindness and professionalism. She went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything and felt comfortable.
The entire staff was top notch — professional, respectful, and genuinely caring. I have been to at least 20 VA facilities across the country, and this one stands above the rest. I actually live in Atlanta, but if I could, I would fly here just to receive care at this VA.
Absolutely outstanding service and care. Thank you to everyone at Durham VA for what you do for Veterans.

Dr. John Villani treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism. I was seen quickly and received efficient, thorough care. He took the time to listen to all of my concerns and ensured I was properly anesthetized with enough lidocaine for an effective nerve block.

It is with deep gratitude that I send you this note of recognition.
Finding a team of psychiatric professionals is truly a gift that I
have found in this practice. I trust that I am receiving the care I
need to heal from years of struggling with mental health concerns
and an addictive personality. Both my psychiatrist and therapist
have been able to work closely to help me start living life rather
than just surviving it. With these supports in place, I am facing
life’s challenges more assured of my stable response. Evaluating
my physical condition at the metabolic level to determine
appropriate medication/supplements, along with the therapeutic
sessions, provides a complete recipe for emotional balance and
physical wellbeing.

Welwynn was an absolutely life-changing place for my recovery. The group programming and clinical staff were exceptional. My therapist, Jesse, was instrumental in helping me understand and process my trauma in a way that truly promoted healing. The family sessions were equally impactful and played a major role in helping me rebuild trust with my loved ones.
From intake through completion, every aspect of my care was handled with professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail. The team went above and beyond to accommodate my executive functioning needs, including work-related travel, while still maintaining strong clinical support across individual, family, and group services. Welwynn quite literally saved my life, and I will always be grateful for the care I received.

Durham, NC | Carolina House is a behavioral health treatment center in Durham, North Carolina. They’re most well known for their eating disorder treatment, but they have mental health treatment, too, including drug and alcohol addiction care. The addiction recovery and mental health program here is a residential rehab. They work with clients ages 18 and old | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I greatly benefitted from my 4 week stay at Carolina House. While it was not perfect (no place is), I would definitely go back in the future if needed. One thing to note: I almost didn't go because the sample schedule they send you looks packed full from morning to night. This is definitely not the case. There's far more break time than group time. In fact, groups are frequently cancelled and are often shorter than the allotted time (which was my biggest complaint while there, since I had come in hopes of an intensive therapy experience). That said, the groups are mostly helpful and the staff were usually pleasant. The house is clean and comfortable and the back deck is nice when the weather permits.

Carolina House saved my life. I am forever grateful for my amazing therapist, Marisa, and dietician, Sarah, who worked extremely hard to help me reach my goals. CH was flexible with my needs and made me feel safe and comfortable. With any treatment center, there were flaws. You have to be motivated and willing to do the work independently as at times the supervision is limited. I was exposed to many new foods that I previously would have never tried! Shout out to Kenly for all the variety. 1:1 Exposures, restaurant outings, and weekend outings made you feel more “normal” in a stressful situation. The BHA’s were always there when needed, even in the middle of the night. Nursing never made me feel like a burden or uncomfortable when talking about health concerns. The homelike setting made it easier to carry over skills when I was discharged. Be brave and do the next right thing.

This facility saved my life. I don't have enough good words to say about Carolina House. Staff were so great. I had a wonderful therapist (Anna) and a great dietitian (Emma). I was challenged in ways I didn't realized I need to be challenged in. I left in such a good place in my recovery thanks to Carolina House. There are definitely problems with the facility but there is no perfect facility. There might be some problems but the good outweighs the bad. You do need to be in a place where you want recovery as this program is meant for those with self-accountability.
