The 2 stars was the last appointment the male dentist the old guy a complete jerk to my daughter. He didn’t even tell her he was numbing her with the needle and kept getting really frustrated with her. Mind you she’s so scared of needles and dentists as is. He really didn’t make it better at all. He was getting mad at her because she was scared and jumped. Him and his nurse didn’t even acknowledge us when they came in kept speak to each other and barely spoke to us the entire time. If it wasn’t needed I would have left. He shouldn’t even be able to work with anyone let alone kids him or his nurse. Edit: they’ve done so much better since last time. I understand that the main reasons behind them is basically immaturity and lack of responsibility. It's sad that some of us recovering addicts have to fall victim to bad eggs as well. We get a bad rep because some just want everything there way and don't care about rules and regulations. I could go on about the people I've had to deal with at methadone clinics over my 25 plus years on and off methadone. The one thing that I keep in my mind is that it's up to me to make the right decisions and take care of my treatment. The people that complain about the fact that you can go up and up with no one caring at the clinic is no one's fault but yours. I'm sure that at a certain dose you had to see doc to go higher. Let's be honest....you wanted to be high and you were probably doing other drugs or trying to get off of benzos and that's why you supposedly had seizures. It all goes back to the individual and his or her decision to do right. So do your research before you get off of other drugs and be honest with yourself and the staff. Maybe then you'll get the treatment you think you deserve. Staff cares and gets what it’s like to be an addict, and a lot of people in the program are genuinely trying to get better. The long haired cook Blue is the BEST. He was my favorite staff member while I was in there, super professional, and he makes great food. And the woman running the place is a sweetheart. Her caseworker Annie is absolutely amazing and supportive and her psychiatrist is compassionate and extremely helpful. We were truly lost before we found this support system. The staff is organized and efficient. Registration was easy and visits are always a pleasant experience. We rarely wait and my child’s safety is a priority. I truly can not complain at all.
