(Will be 6 years this November 2O25)... I've had time to process a whole lot. The counselors are very caring. They're really helpful and kind. They want to see you do well. The nurses are super friendly. So are the doctors. As far as wait times, well, TBH, that all depends on what time you get there during the morning. Like me for example. I go daily now and I try to go before 6am, if I get there before 6am, and I don't have a UA, I'm usually in and out in about 5-10 minutes. In my opinion, this is one of the better clinics in the Hagerstown area. They all want to see you do good and stay clean and sober for the rest of your life. Not saying you'll have to be here that long, but, just enough to get stable to where you feel safe and comfortable with yourself. I also wanted to say that I've had about 4 or 5 counselors since I've been going there and IDK why the counselors keep leaving or getting let go. The one I have now, she seems pretty nice. Also, FYI: As of June 1st 2024, their hours will be changing. The cutoff time for dosing will now be 12 Noon, instead of 1pm. I think it's because of the lack of counselors and nursing staff. It would normally be a 5/5, but things have REALLY changed. Physicals every 3 months, I don't understand why...and they have a HUGE turnover of nurses and counselors. New Seasons helped me change my life forever for the better on 3-19-24!♡ And I will forever cherish that!! & also be forever thankful & grateful!🙏🏻 I would not be where I am today without them! Since i was 16 years old. Almost 14 years i battled with addiction to opioids(pain killers) and as of 6-11-24, I am, 2 months & 22 days clean!♡ Methadone ONLY!♡ So Thank you New Seasons for everything you guys did for me! I appreciate you guys so much!.♡ Thank you for helping me change my life!♡ There are a few downfalls though.. 1. is the intake process.. Which takes 3-5 hours!!! & it will seem like it's taking forever & a year lol 😆 but that is the worst part & once you get through that the hardest part is over!!! I was hoping & praying so hard that the methadone was going to help me & I am beyond thankful that it did & it still does!🙏🏻 I dont think about a pill, i dont wish for a pill, i dont want a pill & i dont NEED a pill!!!💪 2. All the nurses go on break all at once except for 1 so there is only 1 window open for you to dose at so you have to be there before 10:30 or 11am if you want to get in and out quickly. I always made sure i got there at 8am because it wasn't busy at that time. 3.They don't take my insurance which is, (Wv medicaid) and that's why I had to be transferred somewhere else. But, I live in Wv anyway so I don't have to travel as far now. 4. If they did an update and remodeling to make it feel warm, cozy and welcoming✨️ It would make people feel a whole lot more comfortable when you walk in.. But, on a great note, Which is the most important to me is, Most of the staff are nice.. They do know how to communicate with one another which is a big plus for me! My counselor Merisa was awesome! I was truly blessed with her! I definitely recommend her as a counselor!👌 The dosing nurses are great! I enjoyed making their day just as much as they made mine! Especially Ashley!!! She is the best & will always be my favorite!♡ Most importantly I got a dose of medicine every morning that kept me clean which means I was able to live and see another beautiful day without fighting a battle that I fought with every single day i opened my eyes for almost 14 years! So yes, I would definitely recommend New Seasons treatment center when YOU or anyone you know are ready to get clean, healthy, happy & change for the better!✔️ I also recommend methadone instead of suboxone! I had the same issue with counselors as the previous review, but only because someone left and they had to fill that vacant position. That issue has been resolved and they couldn't have found a better person for the position. I feel like my new counselor cares just as much as the previous one and they are well experienced, coming from a previous addiction counseling position. Everytime I come in, I'm greeted by all and treated like I'm more than just an addict. If you have issues about something at any treatment center, it's usually because of your own actions and not doing whatever you're supposed to be doing on your end. Anyhow, when I was at that other place, I can't count the times I could not Dose because of the nurse calling off, the computer is down or they can't get in the safe etc. Having to go to work or back home, while starting to feeling horrible and of course that leads to going right back to those old habits. CCG has been through idk how many people in the 4 years I was there. They couldn't keep a front desk person, Testing person, counselors or a full time doctor. It was 3 months before I could get more take homes because there was no doctor. At the Institute I only witnessed one time when the computer was down but they were still dosing and getting it done. Plus multiple dosing windows so there's never a wait more than 5- 10 mins or less because multiple ppl are getting a month worth of take homes, which is rare. No need for a screen with a list that everyone has to keep checking and counting how many people are in front of them. Also, those groups are only used at other places to get as many people they can to write fake reviews, for either gift cards or food. Point being; if you want to be treated well, with good care and quick turn around time come here. If you want somewhere to just hang out and keep up those old habits then just go to those other places!? The nurses are caring and the new director is extremely nice and always makes herself available for patients. Because of the way Melissa intentionally listened and asked thoughtful probing questions, I felt seen, heard and known. No matter how full her schedule was, I knew that entering into our time together meant I was walking into a safe space. Emily Cunningham was the first therapist I tried at Brooklane and I had a good vibe on the first session. I've gone through several therapists and Emily is the first therapist I've had in years who I look forward to sessions with. I did have a negative experience with one of the psychiatrists and asked to transfer to someone else. The process only took an approval and I was put with someone else for my very next session. Staff cares and gets what it’s like to be an addict, and a lot of people in the program are genuinely trying to get better. The long haired cook Blue is the BEST. He was my favorite staff member while I was in there, super professional, and he makes great food. And the woman running the place is a sweetheart. Of course, there were some other people in the program that didn’t take it as seriously but oh well, everyone’s different. Over all 4.5/5 cyr prou 4 months ago Edgehill saved my life. The staff here care. They teach boundaries, accountability, and will show up for you. Getting clean is what you make of it. If you do the work, you’ll see results and the staff will help you every step of the way. If you fall and reach out for help, they will be there to pick you up. I’ll have a decade clean this year and I could never ever ever have done it without the support of the community here. This treatment center is a 12 step model, which has worked for me. They set you up for success with an outpatient program as well as referrals to sober living. We did chores, which helps in taking positive actions, accountability, and gaining self esteem. The groups every day are helpful, educational, and varied so as not to be boring. The AA and NA community hold meetings in their larger meeting room daily so you can’t help but get plugged in to the community. And if you are just having a bad day and no longer at the center you can pop in and there is always someone to talk to. I got my own private room, kind and compassionate care, productive and helpful group therapy sessions, great medications, and a very solid plan for maintaining my mental health after discharge. I feel very fortunate to have stayed at this unit and if I ever end up in crisis again (though I really hope I don’t), it’s no question that this hospital is where I will stay (assuming I’m given the choice). Rachel 4 months ago Emergency rooms often get a bad reputation, especially when they handle psychiatric patients who may not understand why they’re there. But I just had a great experience as the caretaker of a family member who is in a very fragile state. The front desk staff and a nurse (shoutout to Nora) collaborated so well with me. They both accepted collateral information I’d prepared on the patient and made sure it was in the right hands, all while being discreet so the patient would not be triggered knowing I was sharing it. Nora also spoke to me multiple times over the phone as the situation evolved and the patient was transferred to Fairfax, and even had the information scanned and added to the patient’s chart. I highly recommend this facility if you are dealing with any kind of difficult psychiatric situation, they were great.
