Today, I had the enjoyable experience of meeting Adam & his friend outside the Ravenswood WV Food Fair. I believe in this program & pray more locations will open. Addiction is at epidemic levels. Many need help or a voice that says, "I care about you". I do care about all of you & you can be reassured that God does too. The enemy comes to steal, kill & destroy. The youth are in his cross hairs. You're a target because you're a threat. You need to know how valuable you are. We all should do anything we can to help this organization. In response to the other comments, would you rather your loved one be either dead or homeless on the streets due to addiction? Can't comprehend anyone that is negative or has anything bad to say about a program that's saving lives. You should be grateful. I'm beyond thankful for this program. I hope in the future I will be able to help you even more. I will pray for all of you. You're loved! I hope God blesses all of you! Stay strong!

They are worthy people to say that they can change your life when you feel that you have no reason to live. It is a beautiful place full of passionate workers for their work. Maybe appointments take a long time

Gene and myself have been going ro wtc for about 2 years I've had tried othe treatment before and other facilities but wtc is the best by far the staff always has a warm welcome and I've not once felt out of place I kinda look at them ( nurses , administration , secretaries) they treat me more like fam n not just a recovering addic ..my councilor is Mrs Debbie and I have gotten so close to her she if it wasn't for her kind heart n great advice I would have ever made it this far....thank you all at the wtc God bless..

I have been in treatment since August 7 2023 and I love the nurses and the counselors they are the best especially my counselor she is very easy to talk to. I also like the ladies up front, they are very nice and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this treatment to anyone who wants the help.👍
This place is amazing..You don't have to wait long for appointments. They tke walks in everyday at certain times. An they pretty much got any kind of doctor you would need right there.. The best thing is their slide fee. That means they only make you pay base on your income. Very friendly and caring staff.

Amazing staff! Samantha goes above and beyond for all of her clients.
My husband and I are both patients at RW. We have been with them for a very long time. Every staff member (current and former alike) and both owners, Jimmy & Brandon, are some of the finest people you will ever meet in your life! This also includes the lab's employee, who works in-house on certain days as well. This Out-Patient Substance Abuse (including Alcohol and also DUI Services are available) Treatment Center is so much more than its name/category. These folks will/have always and most certainly already have/do, go above and beyond for the patient and their loved ones!!! They currently have two locations- East Point and London, KY, BUT also offer fully Complete or Partial Telehealth Services as well! If you are coming from another OP Facility, most often you can be "Grand-Fathered in" to wherever you were in your former program.

Recovery Well It's a amazing place to seek help for a loved one or someone that you know that needs help with addiction recovery. The team goes above and beyond to help create a treatment plan that works best for the situation. The doctors there also have so much compassion in helping everyone out no matter the situation that you are in.. I have never seen a team that cares so much.

This review is a little late in the making. This treatment facility, it's programs and it's staff were great. This is the type of treatment center you want when you are truly ready to change. I've seen a lot of ppl just quit and leave because of, well , you name it. If a person isn't truly ready for change then any excuse to leave is good enough no matter what treatment center it is. If you or a loved one or someone you know has a problem with addiction and is ready, I mean truly ready for positive change then I believe Westcare will help you do it.

This place changed my life I'm now clean an sober , I have regained my family , a job , and the knowledge , and tools that I needed to suceed being sober. My counselor Mr Ratliff understands the mindset of an addict . We all have a choice to either get clean or not . And the people that run off or give bad reviews in my opinion dont want to change , if nothing changes then nothing changes . I spent my whole life giving in to drugs the easy way it takes work to stay clean .

Within the past year I have received VA benefits for a service related disability. I began going to the Beckley VA Hospital soon afterwards.
Before receiving my benefits I had always used private insurance and seen private Doctors with mixed results and experiences.
I also have friends and relatives that are veterans living in other states that have had bad experiences with VA clinics and Hospitals where they live.
I am writing this review from my heart to let as many people as I can to know the Hospital staff here are the best people I have ever dealt with when it comes to healthcare. I’ve never had a bad experience. The Nurses, Doctors, Staff personnel and all other employees are hands-down the absolute best I’ve ever had to deal with. Whenever I call or visit them I know I’m going to be given the absolute best care I can get anywhere!
I just want them to know I appreciate everything they do for me.

I was traveling through the area when a sudden (and very painful) medical issue came up. I’m a veteran but hadn’t yet signed up for VA care, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked into the ER—honestly, my expectations were low. But wow, was I surprised.
From check-in to triage to treatment, the entire experience was outstanding. Everyone I interacted with was kind, professional, and efficient. I was ambulatory (just in a lot of pain) and they treated me very promptly. The doctor quickly diagnosed the issue, got me into radiology, and I had answers fast. I was on my way with relief and a plan.
Truly blown away by the level of service and compassion. Thank you to the entire staff for taking such great care of veterans. I hope someone in leadership sees this…they all deserve recognition (and a raise!).

These people saved me! From the doctors, nurses, and counselors. To even the office manager and receptionist. These people really care! They don’t treat you like less of a person because of your “situation” they are respectful and professional. Honestly, if more treatment centers would follow the lead of this one. I probably would have gotten help 10 years ago. If you are 110 percent serious about getting help. And you choose to go the maintenance route. This is the place! I never would have made it if the staff wasn’t as supportive as they are. So thank you to everyone there! They listened to me when absolutely no body else would! They didn’t judge me when absolutely everyone else did! they were kind to me, when no one else was! And they had faith in me, when even I had no faith in myself!
I read through the reviews, and I can assure you. Do not base your opinion of this place by the bad ones. If you are truly ready to make a change in your life. I promise, these folks will help you with being successful!

SROs truly gave me a safe friendly environment to grow in my recovery.. it's a drug free environment with friendly management and staff.. that holds me accountable with random drug screens which Im happy to take. Its giving me back my life adulting..Not enough privacy and too much freedom in my early recovery didn't work well with me in my past.. I am blessed to live here along side many other recovering addicts.. I have also been blessed to see the parking lots fill up with cars and friends move back to their home towns or new apartments.. The opportunity to heal here gives me hope to continue on my recovery journey. We do recover!

I can’t express the gratitude and love I have for this team of professionals for never giving up on me and saving my life. Prestera is a wonderful mental health organization that serves the state of WV. As a CCBHC they pride themselves in giving quality care to every individual who walks through the door. There are programs that can assist with anything from severe mental health issues to social needs such as housing, and obtaining food stamps. Each department works together as a team and coordinates with other departments to ensure continuity and competent care.

I absolutely won't go anywhere else. I feel love at Prestera. The staff and the new intake team are great. They understand me and know what I need. I love it.
I will mention a few names that have helped me: Kristina Clark, Sandra Brown and Lora Morehead and Sean Riley. The are the best. I'm serious, they are great!!

Great ER Staff, had 6 stroke in my abdominal cavity, 4 in my brain. My papaw is actually writing this review because i cant move my right hand anymore. Aaron Carter came out to the parking lot and got me out of the car, basically packed me in on his back. I dont know if i would be alive today without him.
This place saved my life. They believed in me until I could believe in myself. They have helped me so much and I can't say enough good things about this place

I was in for outpatient total hysterectomy. Dr Brumfield, was doing my surgery. The staff that he had during surgery was absolutely wonderful. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed. While I was in recovery, all their nurses & staff were wonderful, as well. For some reason, I was scared. I kept telling them I was scared & they tried to comfort me. Finally, after seeing my husband, I was a lot more comfortable and able to relax to come From being under the anesthesia. I would suggest this medical care center, to anyone. The staff was top-notch, friendly, caring, understanding, willing, and patient!!! I had a great experience. Thank you, St Marys Medical Center. Thank you, Dr Brumfield. Thank you, staff!

My husband spent four weeks in St. Mary's following a cardiac arrest event that nearly took him out. The ICU staff at St. Mary's was incredible during the critical part of my husband's care. He was on full life support for about 4 days, and the staff who supported him - and his family - could not have been more professional or compassionate. He ended up going to the 4th floor once the critical phase was over, and the staff there were equally amazing.
My husband can be a tough patient, but the entire staff at St. Mary's handled him with kindness and a great deal of patience. I was surprised that he was airlifted to West Virginia out of Eastern Kentucky since I thought he'd be sent to Lexington, but I can't imagine he could have received any better care than he did at St. Mary's Hospital. Thank you - you all walk around with invisible wings!
The five stars are for Dr Joseph (Chief of Dental Services) at this facility. He is a compassionate and meticulous dentist who has provided me with excellent dental care. In addition, I highly praise his staff who also deliver superb care. This facility has many others who are exemplary and always provide friendly caring service.
However, if possible I would rate other clinical concerns with a ZERO.
My experience as an inpatient, as well as, my time (over 20 years) as a physician at this facility has shown me an ongoing issue with suboptimal/horrible quality of some inpatient beds. This most certainly has a negative impact on quality of patient care. Over the years I brought this issue up to the HVAMC hierarchy with minimal positive response.
However, the other concerns at least over the past nine months have been :
1. ineptitude of phone service. Operators are pleasant, but wait time for an initial answer to my call is amazingly slow or in some cases NO ANSWER at all.
2. Most importantly of all, the horrendous multitude of problems with referral to a non-VA specialist. This has been very apparent to me since early 2025. I have had the misfortune of requiring numerous urgent referrals to a number of different specialists. All of these referrals met with untimely delays in attempting to get an appointment and generally not always getting a specialist who I have confidence in regarding my well-being.
3. HVAMC needs to hire or contract an ENT physician (at least part time).
4. The overall VA work force (nationally) has been severely diminished and likely will be further depleted which will impact negatively veterans overall quality of care. I have spoken with numerous veterans who are voicing these concerns.
5. Despite what you are hearing, there are ongoing plans to ‘cut’ or eliminate disability payments to qualified veterans by Congressional Budget Committee. This is outrageous
especially since it is being conducted by a vast majority of congressional members who never served a single day in uniform. Once ‘they’ start cutting benefits you can be assured that other benefits will be eliminated as well. It is of paramount importance that state representatives receive veterans feedback on this.

I'm a 2013 Graduate. The Rea is an absolutely phenomenal recovery home for women. Fantastic program. I couldn't recommend it more. All of my needs were met and I was taught how to live again. I've maintained my sobriety, graduated college, achieved gainful employment, and purchased my own home. My successes are also The Rea of Hopes. I couldn't have made it here without them.

This is a great place for women to live when they begin their journey into recovery. Here they are able to work on their recovery as they work towards reentry into society.
My husband spent 5 days here, was seen by multiple Doctors and NP, but really received a definite diagnosis before leaving, never understood what was the cause of all his problems and there did not seem to be any rhyme not reason to his care, it was all divided into different MD's and he was not given a care manager.

Outstanding facilities and wonderful staff. Was given the choice to have my procedure performed at a hospital closer to home but chose to drive the extra miles to go to Thomas. Thank you Thomas Memorial for making my procedure pleasant and easy. Nursing staff is awesome!
The complaints about the program from family could potentially be from their master manipulator residents who are looking for a way to justify leaving. I know, I was one accept everyone was done listening by the time i went. The complaints from Alumni,,, Everything changes and at 2:30 a.m., they are asleep, leave them alone. The building isn't supposed to be comfortable. It's not the Hampton. It's a starting point for Recovery. It's a place if personal discovery, acceptance and overcoming our self-induced crises with like minded people, staffed by those who did it already. It's not for everyone, but it could be, if you want it. There will never be a perfect rehab. It's addiction treatment. The help is there, again, if you want it and will get up everyday and get it.

I may have not went through this program but I am friends with everyone that is going through right now. This is where my AA home group is "STW" every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 6 pm. These meetings have helped me grow in my recovery and has helped me find a lot of good friends.
