It took me going 5 hours from home, fighting the entire way, to make it to harmony ridge. When I tell you, these people were there for me the minute I stepped out of the car. Someone told me that day (as I was starting to withdraw) "You never have to use ever again." Something so simple, but so powerful. I spent 11 days in detox and 28 in the regular program. I graduated and walked out of there more proud and prepared then I've ever felt in my life. I now have just about 18 months clean, and Harmony Ridge in Barboursville is how that was made possible! Special thanks to Mikey, Rooster, Matt (our spades buddies) Junior, the AMAZING cooks (the food ROCKS btw) my counselor, Jenn, for being there for me when I missed home, who noticed when I wasn't quite myself,and who let me cry multiple times in her office, even when I was afraid to go home, and my case worker Tiffany who was super new but she rocked it and made sure I had transportation, a great sober living house, and even a dentist appt for when I went home!!! From the second I called I’ve been treated with love care and empathy by everyone at the facility. Even after completing the 28 program staff members like Joshua Haskiell reach out to check in on me regularly. They don’t make anymore money to do those things they are just genuinely good people with big hearts who have earned my trust. The main guy the director of operations Jacob May was there in the flesh 6 days a week with his door literally open all day. A man in his position doesn’t have to make your problems his problems but that’s exactly what he does for anyone needing help. He personally helped me with seemingly little things but important to me and he didn’t act like they were little he acted like they were important to him. The nurses, counselors and secretaries are absolutely wonderful and caring human beings who do not judge but have true servant's hearts. Words can not express how grateful I am for the treatment center and those within it. For those saying that this place is a joke - they've either failed drug screens, broken the rules or not made their intentions clear. I am one among hundreds who have been saved through this center. There will always be people mad that they can't take advantage of workers or use the place for wrong reasons. No one forces you to stay if you don't want to be here. Great staff. Just yesterday I had an appointment at this clinic. Afterwards I went to Rural king and dropped a salt lick block on my toe. Worried that it might be broken, I returned to the clinic. As a walk in, I asked the clerk if they do X-rays and explained my situation. She said take a sit, they'll be right with you. Not 10 minutes later, I had my X-ray taken and I was out the door heading home. I am very blessed to have access to this clinic. Never had this level of care before. Five stars Jason 4 months ago I spent nearly 2 weeks in this hospitol in January and another 3 weeks in March. The nurses and doctors took excellent care of me. This was not continuous , it was a total of 5 stays. The only real complaint I had is the fact that I was on a clear or full liquids diet for most of my stay and being a diabetic there were not a lot of choices for me. I kept my door shut always because of noise so I never heard anything. Thank you for much for your excellent care of me. Although some feel differently about certain situations, I have come to understand the importance of remembering that they do have to follow the laws and do as they're requested to do. Every issue I have had in that office, I have had the privilege of talking with Mr. Steve Sams which has done a stunning job listening to every issue I would present to him. Don't put your loved ones through more worrying whether or not the next time you OD will be your last if nobody is nearby to narcan you. I can say for certain that the nurses, doctors, counselors, and staff each had a hand in saving my life, I'll be forever grateful to them at CCTC. It may take you a while to get your takehomes if you continue to use while going to the clinic, but there are also trip forms that will reimburse your gas mileage for every day that you come in. I have no complaints for the staff, they are doing the best that they can, my visit is normally in and out within 20-30 mins even with takehomes and drug screen. Jessika always has 100 other things going on, but she has always made time for me when I needed help with anything, always very nice and professional. Thank you for giving me my life back.
