Mindy, Kim, Constance my counselor, kierra.. and others ..I'm really upset over the people who owns BHG in Stevenson.. They have decided to shutdown the clinic we have in Stevenson . The people that works there, truly care for the patients. I remember one year there was snow on the road and no one person was told to open the clinic .. one nurse Mindy ( maybe there where a few others) .. she showed up for us,because she didn't want us to be miserable! .Lord if only everybody was as thoughtful as all the people who works at BHG in Stevenson.. it would be a better world.. I wish the people shutting them down was as thoughtful caring and understanding as all of them where with us .. but it's such a shame when money matters more than the people u are supposed to be helping.. money and greed has ruined so many lives .. Just take that first step. You are not alone. Kenneth G 3 months ago Staff is very helpful and friendly. A pleasure to be a patient here. Better experience at Stevenson compared to Huntsville! I love Mindy and Constance! Great counselors and staff, altogether. I would also like to mention a few more. Kim usually doses me 2 out of 3 days a week and gives me my takehome most times, and she, as well as the staff follow procedure. Very professional, but yet understanding and no judgement. There's every reason you can talk truthfully to any one of them. And then there's Elijah. Oh Elijah.... wouldn't be the same without him and his open eye. Nothing gets past him. He's a wonderful man of God. He and anyone here will go out of their way to help. Another thing I want to mention is the knowledge I've gained from Kim as far as other medical issues. Mindy is also great with things like drawing blood, for instance. That's a HUGE deal. If it doesn't work out, it's because my veins are small. They will not keep hurting you and one nurse doesn't mind giving another one a shot at it. Last but not least, gotta love Chad and Ken!! My Family is the best!! I love you, Mindy, Kim, Constance, Elijah, Ken, Chad, Carol, Cierra(sp?), and all my family here. I hope I left no one out. I don't know what I'd do without their listening ears and kind smiles and caring eyes. They all are equally Godsent. As Kid Rock says, To all you crackheads, you critics, you cynics, and all my heroes at the methadone clinic!!! BAWITTABA!! My new counselor, Carol, is sweet. I haven't known her long, but she and Scott(my previous counselor) has helped me probably more than any other I've had here. I know a few staff members put in a word to get me that help. In a very scary time for me...)pay $700/mo for one rx which was unfeasible..or be checked into the hospital)... They picked me up and took me to my appts and worked with the insurance company for months until they got my medicine covered! I also felt I wasn't heard during my psych eval and felt I had an additional diagnosis. After a year of therapy and psychiatrist appts, they did amend my diagnosis..they listened to me and had evidence to back their diagnosis. They did right by me. Sarah Dettweiler is the psychiatrist I have been seeing and she's very good at what she does..she's calm and very nice..not intimidating and listens! Brenda..I had an episode at her when I was waiting for my medicine and this sweet lady was always very very nice. Also I had a few counselors I wasn't happy with and they switched me to Brittany...she's truly the best I've ever had. I feel my care is safe in their hands and I trust them! Karma 2 years ago I had an extremely abusive childhood. It takes a lot for me to learn to open up. I’d been hospitalized over 20 times in 3 years for hurting myself. I never thought I’d be able to get even slightly better. I was told I was going to live in a facility for the mentally ill and disabled. But i have one last try here! I’m harm free for over a year! I especially enjoyed the yoga and meditation classes in the morning that got you feeling relaxed and mentally motivated for the day. They brought you to outside AA/NA/ CR meetings plus hosted them in house and the YMCA is across the street if you’re want exercise. The food was delicious (with real silverware) so watch your weight. From first contact after hours on a weekend, to accepting my son for treatment even before we had payment worked out, to working with my insurance to get everything covered in-network when they were technically out of network to the fantastic intensive outpatient services. I have seen a dramatic difference in my son from, mood, attitude and overall life goals. He has always enjoyed going and has never once complained. I can't thank them enough for everything that they have done and how they have changed our lives (my son's, mine and our family as a whole). I would recommended Iris to anyone with a struggling teen. I have had Greaaaaattttt counselors here who are very helpful and not overly strict when you have earned that right but I've also had others who are not great counselors and clearly do not want to be there. I have upped my review to 4 of 5 stars because I finnaly have a amazing counselor again. Still could be better im a 32 year old perfectly healthy young man and a physical being required every 3 months is just ridiculous. It wouldn't be so bad if I didnt have to wait 2 hours+ to even see the doctor for that physical. Also not being aloud to dose untill completing my physical is ridiculous since the wait time is so long. I had a crippling addiction to 7-0H. For those unaware its a concentrate of the molecule in kratom that causes opioid like effects. It felt almost as strong as oxycodone and is available otc for cheap. I was spending at least 30 bucks a day for 6 plus months and I wasn't even one of the worst cases. Tolerance builds quick. Its physically addictive just like pain pills. I started drinking every night from the stress and got physically addicted to that too. I did the detox program for 7 days and Im finally free and can actually hold onto my money. The staff and patients are so kind and you can smoke hourly. You can sleep as much as you need. Im staying on Suboxone therapy from now on. It you are hesitating to go please do it. I would have ended my life if not for them. Its the only program I voluntarily did and finished. When we couldn't make it to the office, due to sickness, Dr. Hirsh was kind enough to let us keep our appointment and do our appointment through video call. We will have her testing done here soon and I'm sure that will go just as pleasantly as the rest of our visits here.
