I went to Mohave Mental Health years ago, needless to say I had a horrible experience. I then started getting my mental health care at SW & they have been wonderful to work with & if I can't connect with a new therapist they don't take offense & help me find someone else. Recently I've been working with Dianna & Miles, both great people... with their help I can now be in a room with a man, way to go. I've been dealing with some stuff lately that has hit me hard & both of those I mentioned are busy today so a therapist new to this office gave me some of her time & I feel a bit calmer, thank you Esteban for not letting me leave.

Walked in to see if I could make an appointment for a quick ear exam. Nice lady at the front desk messaged someone and told me to wait a minute. Nurse came out 5 minutes later and brought me back, looked at my ears, said I was good to go. This my friends, is customer service at its best. My home VA is in WA, so technically they did not even have to see me, but did so as a courtesy. Grateful and now I don’t have to worry about my ear. Thank you!

My experience was what I needed however I left before the onion was completely peeled back. Fortunately, I was able to return back to MBH. I'm really bad at keeping in touch with people. The codependence, shyness, and other addictive behaviors have made me feel like I just don’t fit in. I am working on that by getting to meetings on a regular basis. I really miss EVERYONE I met while there. I sincerely hope you all are well.

I spent 8wks at The Meadows. It was life changing for me. The Survivors week helped me with my childhood traumas and learn how to heal my inner child. I met with my trauma therapist several times after this. Also met with evening and weekend therapists. Family week was intense but worth it. My husband joined me that week. They have a brain center where I got to use a CES device to help my anxiety and panic attacks. Also the Chi Machine. I was able to do the safe and sound protocol daily therapy (SSP) for a week. This is suppose to help get you out of the fight or flight mode. I went to acupuncture therapy and found it helpful for my fibromyalgia pain. There were daily evening mediation therapy and 12 step meetings. I got to learn about codependency and CoDA meetings. I also attended ACA meetings. I learned effective coping skills while there. I would recommend this place to anyone that needs help with mental health issues, addictions, grief and loss, traumas, and just need a reset in life.

I found my experience at Rio retreat to be extremely powerful. I have worked in this field and a number of the educational concepts were known to me already. Nonetheless when I did the experiential work it was powerful and transformative. Just a couple days later I continue to find new insights and connections with the childhood issues that I need help addressing. The staff was remarkably insightful and gifted. The program information was up-to-date and directly relevant to my needs. Intake was easy even though I signed up at the last minute I received a lot of support getting everything taken care of including figuring out transportation etc. etc.

I was first greeted and shown actual care by Vickie. She works at the front desk, and genuinely showed care and compassion when it came to getting my first appointment booked. She helped place me at a time that worked best for me and didn't stop until she was able to. Every time I've gone in, she's been so kind and friendly, always saying hello. Having someone like Vickie at the front desk who actually cares about the people going there is irreplaceable. I was placed with Shellby, who is an amazing and talented therapist. She radiates a safe space and immediately made me feel comfortable. Shellby has never seemed judgemental or demeaning with anything I've brought up, and is so knowledgeable in the things she says. I don't think I would ever be able to replace her. Thank you both.

I was fortunately able to stay & heal at Meadows Ranch. My stay was in August 2018. I still had IOP & more, over a year, and today I don’t suffer the shame, fear, anger & hatred for a body that just wants to survive, with a mind that blinded by its needs & the overwhelming brainwashing of our commercialized society. It took MR, to break the lock my past had keeping me under the delusion. I think of my experiences there often. They saved my life. A life that had been anguish, now nearly peaceful & even sometimes happy.

While the directors are awful & there is an abusive 'trauma therapist' (she yelled at an 11-year-old to grow up) but this is the nicest inpatient I have been to. Consider the fact I was in multiple abusive inpatients that took attorneys to get out. Here we get to go outside and the doors are not locked. It doesn't feel like a hospital, just a big house. I have been able to process the trauma from this place & when I was re-united with my family after a year of treatment centers I finally healed. There are some bhc's that are amazing, while others are awful. Tina the therapist & the psychotherapist & the relaxation room therapist & tai chi instructor are amazing, kind people. Inpatient facilities are usually cold locked hospital floors. I loved sitting outside every morning, and I even got to swim with an NG tube. While I didnt make friends here I still had my happy moments along with my bad moments. also thank you to the kind nurses, they truely make a difference. I attended summer of 2023.

I was at the Meadows Ranch this past summer, June-July of 2023. I have only good things to say about the program. My experience was life changing. That being said, I was desperate to recover. I think that, more than anything, is why I had such a positive experience. I also participated in as many optional challenges as possible. I opted in for survivor's week and family week. Honestly family week changed the way my husband and I treat each other and helped us both understand what the other was experiencing. We both agree that it saved our marriage.

I was in residential for about 4 months in 2025. I came in very ill and untrusting. I was met with a warm, caring, hopeful team who met me with compassion and expertise. I was also heavily supported by leadership. My team met me where I was at and was willing to be patient with my progress and circumstances. It didn’t take me long to trust in my team and begin my treacherous journey toward recovery. My team fought for me to progress toward my goals prior to discharge, which meant so much. I’m in a much better place because of my journey at Rosewood. Some suggestions include more content/process heavy groups and better communication with aftercare providers. Also, continued trauma training for BHTs, nurses, clinical team etc. Special shout-out to Amanda, dietitian, for allowing me to find hope, guidance, compassion, and support in my sessions and advocating for me throughout my entire stay. So grateful!

Can Confidently say Rosewood Ranch saved my life! I was a client here twice both times In 2024 on the adolescent side. When I was first admitted I had just been discharged from the hospital and was in a dark and scary place in my life where I truly did not think I was going to get better. When I first arrived, I was very scared and nervous as it was my first rtc I had been to. After acclimating I realized truly how healing Rosewood Ranch is. A little bit after I discharged I realized I needed more help. I was embarrassed to come back however the staff were so so supportive and welcomed me back with open arms. After leaving The Ranch the second time I was admitted to Rosewood Php and later admitted to Rosewood Scottsdale but I credit majority of my recovery to The Ranch. The therapists and dietitians here are very knowledgeable in ed treatment. Thanks to Rosewood Ranch I have my life back.

As a patient at the adolescent side... I was very lucky to have a great community and various great staff members. I came from another residential because i needed to be stepped up to a higher level of care and I would not have wanted it to be anywhere else. Yes there were days that sucked but every treatment center has its bad days. Dave was an amazing therapist and Malia was a great dietician. I was in a very bad place with my eating disorder and rosewood was able to renourish and help me start my recovery journey. I will always be appreciative of the help i recieved. No matter how hard it was in the beginning but by the end of my time their it truly was a big help. If you or your kids are struggling I would recommend rosewood.

My daughter just completed her 45 days at the Claudia Black Center and it was a life changing experience for her and the family. The treatment team's priority was my daughter's well being and that message was clear when hard conversations were had with her and with us as her parents. The family work was invaluable. well I was here and then later five years later Cerritos college hospital Claudia Black treatment center again for two months and it was only a one month program I did it twice in a row because I knew that I needed it. It helped me a great deal however I did not take their advice and run from my family as fast as I can as soon as I got back and never look back. If I had followed their advice I would've had a 10 times better life with less trauma and abuse from my own family. I love their treatment center you get what you put in and you need to be paying attention and learning it's not party time there. The drama therapy I believe is stupid and self inflicted trauma I don't believe reliving trauma is good for anybody but the rest of the program and learning about the roles that you play in your family and how that shaped you into the person you are now and what you can do to have a better life it's all smart, good stuff and worth learning. love to claudia black. I have a signed copy of it's never too late to have a happy childhood still with the other Ip in the program having signed every page with beautiful things to say. Too bad none of those phone numbers are any good anymore or I would be calling them now over 20yrs later. all good people. when Hospital staff repeatedly tell you that the only way you're going to have a decent life is to break ties with your family and never look back, you should listen. it's true.

I believe that treatment is in accordance to the subject being treated, (CBC can take you to the stream, but they can't make you drink). Some feel they received their treatment, that warrants recognition. I spent 40 days here, met some great people, and learnt to focus on what empowers me. I am leaving this review to counteract the nasty reviews. my time at CBC was a great experience for me.
