Alana was the first treatment center listed on the directory of "in network" providers my insurance sent me, whilst frantically looking for help piecing my life back together. Again. So Alana was the first place I called. And wow, I actually have confidence in saying Alana will be the last recovery center I ever have to walk into. The difference here, (besides me FINALLY accepting that you literally can't beat addiction on your own) was the team behind the program. So they have options for PHP and IOP, therapists meet with you regularly, help with medications and they have housing, too if you need it. But the staff here is the best part. Every single one of them is a living example of how awesome and absolutely vital the community you surround yourself with should, and truly needs, to be. It blows my mind how the stars aligned and everything just kind of worked itself out after I said screw it, I need help and made the call. So grateful I landed where I did. Also, shout out to Cliff Taylor for all of the awesome Alumni cookouts and events n' things planned in the future that I will TOTALLY be going to! Because I actually made real friends in recovery here, and that alone speaks volumes.This review has gotten a little long, so I'll end by saying if you're feeling pretty lost and beat up by drug and alcohol addiction (I definitely was), the people at Alana can help you get turned around and pointed in the right direction, if you want it! Had a great experience at RVA recently - truly a facility where miracles happened for me! The staff was great - a few special shout outs for:
Sam (BHT)- kind, compassionate, caring, consistent, helpful, always smiling.
Ashley (Therapist)- process group was amazing, she created a very trusting, safe space.
Rachael/Ashley (Therapists)- dug deep, awesome tools/therapy.
Nurse Kathy - always friendly, compassionate, caring.

We have been partnered with Tangu for the past year and half. I rarely go out of my way to leave a review for a company but in this case it is warranted. Tangu has consistently put patient care first as well as making sure that we have a seamless process when transferring patients to their facility.

Just left today after 30 day program..the staff were incredible and I learned alot about addiction and the long road to my recovery. Great food, medical staff and management....O.G and all. Everyone is so nice and so helpful. The only change is they’re no longer open on Saturdays so it’s only Monday through Fridays, make sure that you bring your lockbox on Fridays and if your guest dozing make sure you either find another facility for Saturdays or plan to come on Friday to get your medicine for all or get them to give you an extra bottle to bring.

My name is actually Adam I’m just having a hard time getting into my email lol.. anyways I’m a relatively new patient and my first impression so far has been that this is a facility with people who are caring and treat addicts such as myself with the dignity that we’re not always afforded. Nat, is compassionate and respectful while Keisha (I think that’s how you spell her name?) is upbeat and fun to talk to. During a time in which there’s so much stigma around medication assisted treatment, this place in particular doesn’t treat you with any less respect than they would a non-addict. I have a feeling that some of the people that have left negative reviews are clients who simply disobey the rules by skipping days and afterwards s were mad that they had to re-admit And pay which is simple state mandated policy. I look forward to meeting my counselor Chi-Chi as I have heard great things about her.One last note – lines are very short!!

I had the most beautiful birth experience at this Northside @Johnson ferry rd. First of all, I had the best anesthesiologists. I was assigned two. One who did the epidural and the one who followed me to the OR. He explained every step to me as it was happening. The epidural was so perfect, I did not feel a thing during surgery. Shout out to Dr Peek for the most amazing surgery experience. All the nurses I had from triage to OR to Postpartum floor were all amazing. They always answered when I called and attended to all my needs. I am so impressed.

Sure, the wait for screening and assessment may be longer than in concierge medicine (I.e., no wait because $$$) but it was more than reasonable in my experience. Keep any form of ID here . Lift is available. Security is helpful in the Lobby . Grady is on 2nd and 3rd floor . Opens exactly at 8am . Vending machine available for water, sodas and chips on 2nd floor . Can get busy and waiting times can vary. The Link Counseling Center has been a sanctuary for my daughter through different stages of her life. When she was just a few years old and struggling with anxiety due to my divorce, she found comfort in her play therapy sessions. To her, it felt like an art class where she could play with all the toys, and she cherished the idea of having a grown-up friend. Over time, her anxiety eased, and the sessions became a source of joy and healing.
Years later, I brought her back, this time as a safe space where she could freely express herself without hesitation. Once again, Link Counseling provided exceptional care. The staff is kind, compassionate, and incredibly accommodating, working with families regardless of their financial situation. The center itself feels like a sanctuary-calm, safe, and welcoming.
