This is by far THE BEST recovery center of all times! Let's start with the director... 1st off, he will insure the best after care for your well being. He is exceptionally fair. I messed up time after time and he gave me opportunity after opportunity. The rules of the program is enforced but he seen in me what I couldn't see in myself. Now the staff??? They became my family. I'm not saying any names but the RSP Supervisor cares deeply about the clients and their safety. She's like Debo who wants you to take the recovery process seriously. As far as the rest of the staff. Individually they they are not just assets to the company but essential to life. Now if I don't say anything about how good Momma Nancy feeds everyone, I would be dead wrong. When I say you get feed like Grandma back around, The food is excellent. My only complaint is that the residents messed up the coffee twice a day. Smh. Somebody broke into the coffee machine and got caught! Tip on my whole coffee operation 😁 Frank El 11 months ago I was there for close to 3 and a half months in 2010, Mrs. Nancy changed my life in so many ways. A strong independent woman who understood my pain had been through it herself and never judged! I think about her a lot to this day still, it's why I'm writing this now, she seen in me what everyone else has seen in me; me I still didn't see it at that point. She would play this song a lot for me to listen to it was her song to me, id cry and she say that's you you just gotta start seeing it. She even went out her way on family day to come meet my then 2 year old son and hold him saying to him, you got a strong beautiful smart mommy who lives you so much all she talks about is getting better to be the best mommy you deserve and asked him if he'd share me with her cause she loved me to and couldn't wait to see me get it that time!! She was why got through that, not disappointed her became my motivation. Mrs. Nancy you are an inspiration and almost 16 years later I still think of you and the impact you had on my life. You are a beautiful, kind, loving, and also one tough cookie who doesn't take crap from anyone at all. I hope you see this one day and pray that you remember that red haired sorta Tom boyish girl you dressed like a beautiful/hot elf at Christmas in 2009 and as baby new years afterwards because you saw a beauty in me then I couldn't see. Unfortunately, my addictions got the best of me and I relapsed and didn't return.I was so ashamed of myself I didn't want to show my face and went back to boozing and now thankfully I'm finally getting help that I need. I was admitted to Jefferson Hospital suffering from severe alcohol withdrawal syndrome, borderline experiencing auditory hallucinations. I was also suffering from gait abnormality and balance and coordination issues so they transferred me to Wyndmoor Hills for Physical therapy and once I'm discharged well before I'm discharged, I'll pick a rehab facility for inpatient treatment.Wish me luck. In 2009 the cost for the entire year was 800.00. I would assume it has increased with inflation but the information stating a cost of $12,000 monthly is inaccurate. If you need help you should consider reaching out to Teen Challenge. Lives are transformed at and through Teen Challenge, do not let the inaccurate information about the cost deter you from getting help. Also, I believe they have ways of acquiring financial assistance if needed. If you have a problem and your tired of it and / or you have been to multiple rehabs, this one is different. Don’t go back to what you know doesn’t work. Heart transformation vs’ behavior modification. Anybody can change their behavior for external reasons, like they got fired from their job, fighting with spouse, ect. and they really believe that they’ve stopped., but two months after getting a new job and the coast is clear guess what creeps back out? When there’s a transformed heart, the desires are abolished, not tucked away for later. Hearts are transformed at Teen Challenge. In 2009 the program was12 months. You might think that’s a long time. If you do nothing 5 years will fly by and you will be where you are now, or worse off, or even dead. Make a move now and imagine the endless possibilities that can happen in five years. New friends, new career, new location, clear, productive mind. Don’t wait. Miss Bonnie was my therapist and she truly goes above & beyond not only for her clients but for any client that needs an ear to listen or advice on a situation. Her door was always open and still is even though I am no longer there. I just celebrated a year clean and Miss Bonnie plays a huge part in that. She helped me to grow in ways I never thought I could but because of how genuine she is I felt comfortable to open up and I respect her in so many ways and because of that I was able to open up and deal with things I didn't think I could. I had to end a really toxic relationship and Miss Bonnie sat with me just because she knew I needed the support. She will always hold a special place in my heart. On another note..... our case manager on the woman's side, Lordess unfortunately did not contribute these same caring characteristics. On many occasions Miss Bonnie would assist with situations that were for Lordess but we went to Miss Bonnie because we knew she would get it done because she cares about the well being of her clients. If I wouldn't have taken the initiative to find a recovery house I would've been discharged to the street. Also I filled out 2 applications. 1 for my social security card and 1 for my Birth Certificate and 3 months later I still do not have them.
