She gives you practical tools and skills while also knowing how to get the group engaged and talking. Gianni was also always welcoming and helpful at the front desk. I really appreciated having an evening option that works for people with 9-to-5 jobs. My only suggestion would be to better accommodate evening participants with dinner or more substantial snack options, similar to the daytime programs. After a full workday, it’s a big commitment to attend several hours of programming, and having food available would make it easier to stay focused and present. She befriended "Will" long before he was willing to seek help. He was never alone in life because she checked on him regularly and gently coaxed him into getting the help that he desperately needed. Approximately 7 months after reaching out, Will made the decision to better his life by accepting Peggy's offer of help. Once his decision was made, Peggy instantly started moving mountains to get him the help he needed. She was in daily contact with his family offering her advice, supplying helpful contact information, and even talking him through his fears when they became too great and he wanted to run. As a result of Peggy's unrelenting quest to help Will, he has received a Certificate of Completion from the Midwood Addiction Program where he received counseling, housing, a sense of community, independence, and gradually took control of his life again. A little over a month after graduating, Will has found employment and is ready to start this new healthy chapter in his life. When asked if he ever talks to Peggy anymore, the answer is "yes! she's full of valuable resources.". How do you thank someone who has saved the life of someone you thought was lost forever? I had some bumps along the way until I met Evie Dillard. She was so helpful to me by giving me extra resources to get ready to exit treatment. Shamar Marquis 1 year ago Lemme tell you about the housing situation 1st. I read the good reviews and the horrible and the bad kinda concerned me. I can tell you the bad was not only exaggerated but most just someone salty and spreading total BS. There are no rodents and I've never been to a house that had zero bugs not even a fly before I got here, not even my father's house. Ok so these 2 floor some with a upper smoking/ lounge deck are nice nice! 4 bedroom 3 full double sink bathrooms , two with walk-in shower , I bath / shower and a half bath by living room. It's fully stocked with any pans coffee pot anything you need. The staff are some of the nicest ppl and you absolutely get to know them. You are treated pretty much how you treat them. Just be kind! Midwood center was the one I went to and the staff there are always awesome. If you need something just speak up, I've seen ppl come through and expect everyone to be mind readers. I would list everyone I love at Harmony but I'm horrible with names but there are standouts. Christine, Crystn (sik). Byron,Lisa, Miss Gail ( Amber always pushing DBT therapy 😬) Bobby, the tech who's name escapes me that calls everyone "Big Dog) And Lastly but firstly Miss Peggy who is the sweetest person I've ever met and she saved my life just by getting to know me calling my phone to talk to someone else. She had my back and actually drove to Salvation Army and helped me get insurance, talked me into Salvation Army in first place and bought my broke ass two packs of smokes She is absolutely a gift from God and deserves to be the highest paid at Harmony! Ms. Evelyn Contacted me, and she had done all the leg work on her side and let me know in detail all that was needed from me to get my husband admitted. Needless to say, the transition was smoother than butter! In a matter of hours not days he was in! They stayed in contact with us through our travels. The staff was super welcoming and supportive! That rating is a direct reflection of the leadership of this hospital. After the incident with my granddaughter in the emergency room on 09/05/2026 I emailed the CEO of Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital, Mr. Carl Armato. I was totally shocked and amazed when he responded almost immediately. He expressed genuine concern and was very relatable. He immediately involved other members of his team to reach out to me and my daughter. Several team members reached out both by phone and email. They expressed genuine concern and apologized for the experience while assuring us they were looking into what occurred further. This morning they went beyond and were able to get my granddaughter into an ENT doctor today. This would never have been possible without their help. Just when I thought humanity and compassion no longer existed Mr. Armato and his team proved otherwise. I am both grateful and thankful. I would suggest to anyone reading my reviews and to anyone who has had a less than good experience at this hospital. There is hope because the people who run it and oversee it do really care. So don't hesitate to reach out to the leadership when you've have a bad experience. Also don't forget to let them know when you had good experiences as well. Second time now coming to this hospital!. My daughter Camille Hendricks took my granddaughter, Anais to the emergency room at Novant Health tonight 09/05/2026 and was seen by Dr. Cody Carpenter supposedly a pediatrician. My granddaughter somehow lodged a dry bean in her ear. This doctor and I use the term loosely refused to treat or try and remove the bean. I live in New York and my daughter called me and put me on speaker so that he could hear me. He insisted that having a bean lodged in the ear canal wasn't considered an "emergency". When I questioned his ability and that of the hospital. Who I stated can remove bullets from a people everday but somehow cannot remove a bean from an ear canal. He acted unmoved and uncaring. I find it hard to believe that a hospital that size doesn't have an ENT doctor on staff. I asked how he expected my daughter to get to an ENT when tomorrow is Sunday and Monday is a holiday. He had no response and his mannerism and his tone was a flat affact. I advised my daughter while I was still on speaker to make sure she gets this in writing for documentation.That God forbid something should happen to my granddaughter before she can get to a ENT he and the hospital would be liable. He then referred her to an ENT that doesn't even take her insurance. It's unfortunate my daughter couldn't have picked the emergency room doctor she wanted.
