I have been in the mud for some time now I've been thu the process and have scene so oh so many so called counselors some court ordered others by choice.
( not just limited to counselor but any of the person's tied to "The process," and or program..I have been raked over coals and have been mislead. Truthfully I was young and didn't realize it was about the money, insurance billing.... statistics..... Not to say all others or most truly are there to help.... I couldn't tell... I painfully have to admit they are very well not worth the air they breath.... I hope they have changed or some way some how have God forsaken made a change in someone lives that was useful......all that above mentioned for this..)

It's a blessing and to truly see someone who has perfected there craft or profession to the point that she has....In this game it's so hard to connect on a equal playing field and to see some one who truly cares and I mean this counselor will walk thu hell and lead you out just follow her lead....If you have the blessing and it is to be her client your gonna get what you put in... It's all about following the rules and keeping your cool. All of the negative reviews talking about not caring about anything but money... they are most likely not following the guidelines and rules for the program. If you cuss out the nursing staff because you're I withdrawal, don't expect great service. Do the program as your supposed to -- and you won't have any problems. I've had two counselors over 5 years. Haven't touched an opiate, but rely on this service. I feel safe here. Yes, improvements are needed. More counselors, less stringent cannabis rules like most clinics would improve my experience. Anyway, thumbs up. Saved my life.

A true gift.
Ashley rehabilitation center was recommended by over 40 individuals I know in AA. They provide phenomenal service, especially compared almost all other rehabilitation centers. It is no wonder it is in the top 3 in the US.
Please do not be discouraged by negative reviews, those are individuals who thought one month in a center can cure a lifelong disease that requires daily work for life, and thought rehab should be a vacation.
This facility is beautiful. Most other rehab canters are in one building; here it is like a college campus. Ashley provides daily small group therapy, others rehabs offer one per 2 weeks.
Here one receives 1 to 1 therapy weekly as well, ranging from psychology, psychiatry, therapy, spiritual wellness, and even social therapy. In addition, useful tasks are given to help you in your recovery. Those that don’t put in the work are the ones who suffer relapse.
The food is cooked by chefs, not cooks. The only food item not made from scratch is the bagels. Don’t bother hoarding any food in your room for later, you will always be full.
You won’t find this quality of food in most all other rehabs; some rehabs even ration food for the day.
There are more than double the employees than there are patients. Those employees really derive joy from helping others.
Finally: this facility heavily promotes 12 step groups such as AA or NA. 12 step recovery fellowships are the only way to maintain long term sobriety/clean time. Those who fail sobriety are those that want a 1 month quick fix. It requires lifelong treatment.
Know that nothing is going to “work” on, or “fix” your addiction/alcoholism. We spent time out of our lives, and put work in, to use our drug of choice, therefore it will take time and work to stay clean.
Anybody going to rehab with expectations of being pampered, like it’s supposed to be a resort, don’t bother wasting their time. Let the bed go to someone that wants to change their life and is ready to work for it.
I have the upmost confidence in my sobriety because I gained the tools at Ashley, and will work for the remainder of my life, daily, in AA.

Wonderfully serene environment in which to heal and be fully embraced by a very caring, empathic staff. My only complaint was after I left, someone in Admissions was very rude to me the day after I left when I wanted to be connected to the nursing station to thank a certain nurse that made an integral impact on me during my stay. The fact that this woman refused to transfer me or to even take a message for me “if they did happen to have a person on staff there named ________,” was unacceptable. I had interfaced with every single person in that office daily. Also, I have had zero feedback from the alumni website. Supposedly there are rewards for participation, and I have been keeping my daily activities logged , my meetings and appointments diligently, with zero feedback. I do not see the point. It is not very inspiring for continuing motivation of retention purposes, imho.

As a Veteran myself who recognizes privacy issues, I can't share names, but a family member has been staying here. Despite the poor rating of this VA Facility, he states that his treatment has been consistent, the staff has been friendly, and the other patients get along well with no drama. What's sad is that so many veterans have no idea that this hospital is available for the treatment of PTSD, Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Bi-Polar Disease, Anxiety and more - for FREE. Meetings are available daily, and in addition to psychological assistance, medical physicians are available too. The hospital is spotless, you can choose the food you'd like to eat for 3 meals a day, and it tastes 😋 good. TVs 📺 aren't in the room, but they are in the Dayroom, along with pool tables, etc. It's even open to Veterans from other states. Sometimes it's difficult to admit the need for help, but hopefully, someone will take the time to read this and reach out.

I love this VA Center. The staff are excellent! The Physician assigned to me is great. Whenever I have a medical problem, I get an appointment at a reasonable time and they listen to the symptoms I have and do a great job getting to the route cause. The amount of time it takes for labs, x-rays, and MRIs is phenomenal. Words cannot express how thankful I am for their service.

I went to Bowling Green almost 4 years ago. I first went to the detox program, then the rehab, and then I stayed for their extended partial program and although it wasn’t a completely perfect experience, and you can smell the mushrooms in the air from a nearby farm, they must have done something right because this was my 27th rehab facility and it worked for me. Both my boys go here my oldest is now 6yrs old my youngest 6 months old and I absolutely love it great teachers the director is very involved the management team is great as well I never had any issues with trusting them to care for my boys as I do and if I did have any concerns it was handled in a timely manner plus I love how they teach the students Spanish. I’ve been a patient at Holcomb Behavioral Health for almost 4yrs.
I have never had an issue with anyone and I can be a difficult person. I’m a Gemini ♊️ so my evil twin is always trying to peek out to take over.
My therapist has helped my family and I tremendously! The receptionist - OMG! I haven’t seen her since the pandemic but when I have to physically go into Holcomb this awesome lovely lady always ask me about my son and ask how I’m doing.
I Love Holcomb for more reasons than that. I Love Holcomb because they help me navigate through life when life kicks me down. Holcomb changed my life and my children's live for the better. I feel bad that other people's comments are judgmental. I think that people are so closed minded now & days. So, if you’re a patient at Holcomb then don’t give up! Because I swear I recommend this life changing facility to anyone that needs mental health support.

Forget any negative reviews! This is by far THE BEST recovery center of all times! Let's start with the director... 1st off, he will insure the best after care for your well being. He is exceptionally fair. I messed up time after time and he gave me opportunity after opportunity. The rules of the program is enforced but he seen in me what I couldn't see in myself. Now the staff??? They became my family. I'm not saying any names but the RSP Supervisor cares deeply about the clients and their safety. She's like Debo who wants you to take the recovery process seriously. As far as the rest of the staff. Individually they they are not just assets to the company but essential to life. Now if I don't say anything about how good Momma Nancy feeds everyone, I would be dead wrong. When I say you get feed like Grandma back around, The food is excellent. My only complaint is that the residents messed up the coffee twice a day. Smh. Somebody broke into the coffee machine and got caught! Tip on my whole coffee operation 😁

I was there for close to 3 and a half months in 2010, Mrs. Nancy changed my life in so many ways. A strong independent woman who understood my pain had been through it herself and never judged! I think about her a lot to this day still, it's why I'm writing this now, she seen in me what everyone else has seen in me; me I still didn't see it at that point. She would play this song a lot for me to listen to it was her song to me, id cry and she say that's you you just gotta start seeing it. She even went out her way on family day to come meet my then 2 year old son and hold him saying to him, you got a strong beautiful smart mommy who lives you so much all she talks about is getting better to be the best mommy you deserve and asked him if he'd share me with her cause she loved me to and couldn't wait to see me get it that time!! She was why got through that, not disappointed her became my motivation. Mrs. Nancy you are an inspiration and almost 16 years later I still think of you and the impact you had on my life. You are a beautiful, kind, loving, and also one tough cookie who doesn't take crap from anyone at all. I hope you see this one day and pray that you remember that red haired sorta Tom boyish girl you dressed like a beautiful/hot elf at Christmas in 2009 and as baby new years afterwards because you saw a beauty in me then I couldn't see. Pace,Lauren and my saviorBridgette have helped me to rid the shackles of addiction. I was a slave to addiction of all sorts not just drugs and alcohol for 40 plus years. I look in the mirror today and for the first time in my life and I see a righteousness man who finally loves who I am and found a life never thought possible. I walk around every day higher then I've ever been and it's all natural.They told me not to quit before the miracle and I said what possible miracle,I now know what they meant..Thanks for never giving up on me and showing me unconditional love.....Much love always! This place right here has changed my life. It has brought me closer to my Higher Power, instilled a level of trust, dignity, love, and respect for myself and for others. It has truly showed me how to live in a program of recovery and how to incorporate the 12 steps into my daily everyday life. This house and its members have saved my life. Without this house I don't believe that I would be alive to this day.
I knew that I made the right decision by coming to this program, trying to give myself the best possible option to change and redirect my path from the moment I walked in the door. The A.C.T. program is AMAZING they have been there through a very rough patch in my life. I can't tha k them enough for all the services they provide and help they've given me any boyfriend through trying to patch our lives back together. Theyve helped so much with learning my mental illnesses and how to cope with them not just throw a bunch of meds down your throat.... Actually help you learn to deal with the symptoms and actual helpful coping skills not those same 4 everyone tells you but ones that will actually work for YOU!! I have so much more to say I'll have to come back when my brains working better... Deff recommend if you're able too get seen I know it's incredibly hard to get in since COVID .
