I cannot thank TBRC enough. The entire staff and team dedicate themselves above and behind to support the clients on their journey to recovery! You can tell they take helping others seriously and they love what they do. This is the first recovery center I have been where i have felt confident and secure in my safety and recovery. I live in another state now. I came into this place homeless after having been on a 1 year drinking binge, facing 70 years in two states. Initially, I was only here to "hide-out", and then I began seeing all these people come through who had the hope of sobriety. After staying here for one month, I was sober, had hope and turned myself in, that was the start of my current 9 years of sobriety. This is not a facility that is here to make money, it is hardcore and no frills, but looking back it was the best rehab I ever went to, all these places with millions of dollar budgets should take lessons from Turning Point, I will never forget it.

This is a “no-frills”, last stop for someone who is desperate to make it to tomorrow. If you want sobriety, are out of options and are willing to go to any lengths to get it, Turning Point might work for you. Your success rate is commensurate with the amount of effort you are willing to expend, your ability to follow instructions, and the degree to which you are honest with yourself. I’m about to complete my mental health counseling internship at The Costello Center, and it has been an incredibly positive and meaningful experience. I’m honored to be part of a team that operates with such professionalism, integrity, and genuine care for the well-being of their clients.
My clinical supervision has been under Michelle Donely, and I have the utmost respect for her work. Her dedication to her clients—especially the many children and families she serves—is truly inspiring. Michelle consistently advocates for what is in the best interest of the child, and her expertise in play therapy is evident in the deep trust and connection she builds in each session. Her compassionate and ethical approach has deeply influenced my growth as a future clinician.
The Costello Center, led by Dr. Kim Costello and her husband Franco, is a place where clients are truly cared for and where clinicians are supported to do their best work. Dr. Costello’s warmth, wisdom, and visionary leadership have cultivated a culture of integrity, collaboration, and heart-centered care. I’m grateful to be part of such an enriching workplace that upholds exceptional clinical standards.

This facility is VERY helpful and sympathetic with low income patients who need a lot of understanding, flexibility and accommodations for scheduling and mental health assistance.
The Suncoast Center's office may not be fancy but it is VERY accommodating when a mental health patient forgets their appointment. You can show up and the staff will work to have someone see you that same day.
If you need a different medication dose or if your prescription has run out, the staff at the facility will work with you so you can get your medication.
Suncoast Center also provides financial assistance programs to low income patients. If you have low income, but don't have any health insurance, Suncoast Center can sign you up for low cost fees (around $10 payments for service appointments).
Suncoast Center also offers free medicine via pharmaceutical company programs for low income patients. For example, certain effective, long acting, anti-psychotic injections are very expensive ($600 to $800 per injection) but if you qualify as low income and fill out the pharmaceutical program paperwork, you can get the effective medication for free.
Suncoast Center provides a lot of helpful information to patients such as, law firms that help patients to get SSI Disability payments and paperwork assistance for patients with severe mental health issues to be removed from jury duty lists.

I have been coming to this center for a while, although there have been some issues with a couple of staff, the good experiences have outweighed the unpleasant ones. The accommodations I've received to feel safe and comfortable are not unnoticed.
Life is too short to be upset at something we can't control and the employees here most of time have no control of the days events. Patience, compassion and kindness go a long way.

I will never forget my time at this precious place! I walked in broken, lost, pending criminal charges and a heart that needed purpose! A was always a believer. I had a good family that raised me from right and wrong. When I walked into the bubble, I did not know what to expect. It was tough at first, living in close quarters and working in the environment is not easy. It was a lot easier and nicer than where I was sleeping on the streets with nothing. Alone and miserable. I made not just friends, I met FAMILY that I will remember and love for the rest of my life! When I look back at my time at this center, I realize how much fun I was having. How much healing came into my life mentally and physically. Healing into my heart. I realized the people around me did not just want to just help me, they wanted to save my soul. They wanted me to be happy and the best version of me. They lifted me to a place of true self-worth and happiness I did not know. Growing up I was a aspiring professional athlete. I got hurt and realized my dreams we're not a reality. I joined the United States Army and serve my country overseas for over 3 years. I discharged honorably and came home. I started to isolate and party. It is a long story, I ended up with criminal charges for stealing to support my habit. I was court-ordered to this program. I met many of men who were there on their own free will. Either way, however you arrive. It just matters that you make it through the door and never give up. I have not been perfect since leaving and had my slips. I can say, I love my life and I am still fighting the good fight! Happy and connected! Never think you are alone. The people that operate the center have all gone through the program! They all have different experiences, lean on them as they lean on you! If you really want help, REALLY want it! Show up! Let God use the love of this place. It will take you to a place far greater than you could ever ask or imagine. It may be difficult to adjust in the beginning, there might be people half your age or double your age. I became family with all those I met. I am forever grateful for the precious time and the relationship I found with my higher power. The relationship I cherish so very much to this day almost 10 years later! You will work, that's what adults do! They will take you to fun places, maybe to a Lightning game or a Rays game as well. Maybe a concert or a spiritual retreat camp with sports, worship and fun! There will be negative people there who are not there for the right reasons. Put a gap in between yourself and those. Lean on the ones that are reflecting the light of sobriety and happiness. If you go, embrace it, all of it. The good with the bad! Do it for YOURSELF, you will have a time of your life. Trust in HIM. -JOSHUA 1:9- Thank you St. Pete ARC! Love all of you.

Heather the counselors and the doctor run a wonderful facility here. They offer freedom from active addiction a promise of renewed hope and a purposeful driven life free from addiction. My stay here a year ago also provided me the opportunity to live in their sober living home. The art, equine, yoga and reki thrapy sessions are incredible. We are dedicated to helping the residents of Tampa, FL, find a better way forward in life. Our team provides personalized addiction treatment in a flexible outpatient setting. Here, clients start the path to a lifetime of healing by addressing the underlying causes of addiction and regaining control of their lives. One of the best things about Soph | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Whew! Where to even start - I’m so grateful and honored - After completing a 10-day inpatient rehab for alcohol, I entered Sophros Recovery’s IOP and OP programs — and I can honestly say it completely turned my life around. I came into the program with a heavy heart, still grieving the losses of my father and younger brother, and burdened by years of personal struggles and past relationship hardships. But Sophros gave me something I hadn’t felt in a long time: hope, direction, and a true sense of belonging.
From the very first day, the entire faculty made me feel welcomed and supported. It truly felt like a second home — a safe space to focus on healing, growth, and rediscovering who I am.
A huge shoutout to Rajon, my therapist, who has been absolutely incredible. She challenged me in all the right ways, helped me see things from a new perspective, and always made me feel heard and understood. Her compassion and dedication to her clients are unmatched, and I’m beyond grateful for how much shes helped me through this journey.
I also want to give a special thank-you to Michelle, the Director of Clinical Services, for being there for me from day one. Her warmth, leadership, and genuine care made such a difference. Both Rajon and Michelle even showed up to court for me — it was Rajon’s first time, and knowing that they stood by my side during such a vulnerable moment meant the world to me. Their effort reminded me how deeply they care about each person’s recovery and success.
To the entire Sophros faculty and the amazing people I met during my time there — thank you. The community and connections I found through Sophros continue to support me even beyond graduation.
If you’re at a point where you feel like giving up, don’t. Sophros Recovery will be there for you, guide you, and walk beside you every step of the way. I’m living proof that with the right support and environment, you can rebuild, recover, and thrive. I am truly blessed and forever grateful for everything Sophros has done for me. 🙏❤️

My therapist Laura was very helpful. She taught me coping skills and helped me to overcome my past and to focus on the future and move forward. Ms Gigi was very down to earth and she's an inspiration; she has 12 years clean and if she can do it then I know that I can too!

Laura, my therapist was awesome. She was very patient with me, I asked so many questions. She helped me to understand my problems and gave me tools for the future. She prepared me for a successful recovery. I've never tried yoga before but I took those classes and I learned how to stretch. I have a handicap with my hip and it really helped me with my pain and flexibility. I highly recommend coalition.
