My children receive services at Avita in Cleveland it's by far the best location in my opinion the front desk staff is always so engaging with my kids and the other staff is so engaging and empathetic my three favorite people in this office is the front desk, nurse, and male counselor. My daughter doesn't see him but he is always quick to check in with her about her day.

After injuring my back on the job, I spiraled into opioid addiction and it nearly tore my family apart. Coming to Shepherd’s Hill gave me a fresh start. The counselors really cared and helped me work through the emotional stuff, not just the addiction. I liked that I could still talk with my wife and kids, it kept me grounded. Wish they had more physical therapy options for chronic pain though. The campus is peaceful and the staff were supportive. This place helped me find my feet again.

Mt Sinai was very helpful for my family and our loved one from start to finish. The entire staff was very warm and welcoming. We have been dealing with this for almost 10 years and Mt Sinai actually addressed his underlying issues for the first time ever. My treatment plan through SWCTC saved my life. I'd never heard of methadone and a friend told me about it. I was in denial and had spent so much money and time finding drugs. My whole existence depended on getting my pills. I wanted to stop and prayed for a way. I've been clean for 22 years now. The one GREAT thing about the Oakwood VA Medical Clinic is the Department of Veterans Services Representative Pablo Cruz. Pablo Cruz is highly professional, really cares about Veterans and is very knowledgeable of how the VA Disability System works. It's wonderful to know there is someone connected to a VA Medical Facility that can be trusted. I've had so many frustrating experiences at the many VA Medical Facilities I've used since returning from Vietnam in 1970 and for the most part the Oakwood VA Clinic is filled with the same type of personnel you would expect to find at any VA Medical Facility, they're there for a paycheck, not to care for Veterans. A beautiful building with plenty of parking but until the VA Medical personnel can follow the EXAMPLARY Behavior displayed by Pablo Cruz, faith in the VA Medical System will never be restored. The only reason I would use the Oakwood VA Clinic is for seeking assistance from the Department of Veterans Services Representative Pablo Cruz. He is the only reason I'm giving this facility a 5 Star rating, if it weren't for Pablo Cruz, I'd rate this facility what I rate all VA Medical Facilities, ZERO.

Jane is amazing and welcoming and so is Heather. They always remember me and ask about my children, they even offer to watch my infant when I have to bring him for a minute or 2 while I dose. It’s just a small help that makes being a single mom and bringing him to the clinic a little less stressful. (I only come 2 times a month) but nonetheless they do everything they can to help, like every business it is a money making business though so there isn’t charity, you have to follow the rules and expectations and as long as you go by that you’re in & out.

The way up provides the support, structure and recovery education needed to foster change and healing. I’ve personally witnessed this program help someone move through being imprisoned by addiction for many years to freedom-the answer to a prayer he and I prayed more times than I could ever count. Roland and his staff seem to have a good balance of tough love and support that the men in the program need to gain accountability for their lives while also knowing they are not alone in what they are going through.
