I brought a family member here a fee years back. Its truly Amazing what God did in his life at this center. Its an amazing peace of land,Blessed and set apart just right for the healing! The care and guidance from the staff wonderful. I would recommend any one that’s broken to start first on their knees but, when you lift your head call and enroll here to get your life back! -If you truly... TRULY want to get your life together, this is the place for you. You can show up with nothing, you will be clothed, fed and given a bed to sleep in. There is a daily schedule with classes that help instill structure and stability. Clients are given a generous amount of Grace when it comes to program participation as us as addicts are often not a fan of authority. The Potter's House is a place with amazing opportunities for any addict that wants to get clean and have the tools to succeed in life beyond the "Eagles". -I spent two years of my life here throughout various stages of the program. I am now working a job I never would have dreamed of and am loving the life I am living. I showed up to this past Christmas with gifts for my family for the first time in my life. I am 32. My Mom and I's relationship has never been better. There's too many blessings to count.

Great place for a budgeted income. Received the help we were looking for. Had to wait a few hours the first time, but with appointment the wait was short .

I have been a patient at one of these type of government funded mental health community services programs for the last 35 years. Three different Counties before I got with Jackson co. Just have to say wow, what an awesome community! I have never had an experience like I just had here. I was given options, treated respectfully, and really for the first time felt cared for. I went to The Angel House and at first I hated it of course but once I realized that the ladies there really care about your sobriety my whole outlook changed. I didn’t understand how some of the way things were done when I was there but after I graduated it all made sense and it definitely changed my outlook and I can honestly say that they saved my life. I can’t express how thankful I am for getting the opportunity to go to The Angel House and I would recommend it a million times over for anyone who truly wants to change their life. I’m forever grateful ❤️

I don't even know where to start. I came into Angel House 18 Months ago a hopeless addict that knew absolutely nothing about life. When I got here I had not a dime to my name, my clothes were scattered from Atlanta to Alabama, I had never held a job successfully, or had a healthy relationship in my life. Now I have been working as an Accountant/Office Manager for a solid year, I am financially stable, have my own house and car, but most importantly I have HEALTHY relationships with my family and friends that grow stronger by the day. Non of that ever felt possible until the Angel House made me realize how capable I really am. This place changed it for me, beyond anything I could have ever expected. It brings me to tears to even think about. I have NEVER had people care about me the way staff did. I never once felt like a case in a folder, and was always made to feel that what I had to say was important. I felt like someone who's voice mattered for the first time. Brooke Boyette would be running around the office trying to put out so many fires, help so many people at the same time, but not one time did she EVER tell me she didn't have time to talk and that still holds true today. Since I graduated I still call her on a daily basis and complain about life, but guess what... shes there to listen. This program does more than just show you how to live life clean. It shows you how to love again, let others love you, and gives you a family that you can hold onto forever. If your willing to fight for your life and come out on the other side you quickly realize that nothing is personal and its all spiritual. So that brings me to the director Angela. This lady spent hours and I mean HOURS on end fighting for my life when I didn't want to fight for it myself. I say hours because I was pretty stubborn and had a hard time opening my ears when it was time for me to listen. Angela would sit and talk with me no matter how long it took, till she was sure that I had heard her. She didn't have to do that. She could have left when the office closed at 7 "I had her there late MANY nights", she could have not answered her phone on a Sunday when I found out my mom relapsed after 10 years sober and stayed on the phone with me for over an hour, she didn't have to show up in the middle of the night when we needed her, she didn't have to fight so hard for ME and MY life but guess what... SHE DID!! Not only did she do it for me but continues to do it for every women that steps foot into that program. Her compassion for the work she does is beyond anything I have ever witnessed before. She showed me how to be a better person Spiritually, Mentally, and Financially. These women are hero's and a grateful recovering addict can quickly realize the lengths they go to for ALL women that come through the program. So if your ready and need to go somewhere that is going to truly change your life. You can find it at Angel House as long as your ready.

Absolutely amazing! Couldn't be happier with this program. The wonderful women who run it are absolutely wonderful. If you are TRULY seeking a clean and sober life, this program comes highly recommended.

I have alot of experience with Turning Point. My son has been here three times. He does great while he is there - and then he leaves. He is usually back into full blown addiction within three months. Freedom from addiction is a choice and a lifelong commitment. If you dont want to get sober, and just want somewhere to be for a signature on a paper or to avoid prison, turning point or nowhere else will get 5 stars from you. I was born into addiction and know enough that you are the one making your own choices. Do not tell me Turning point isnt a good place. I have watched my son go in twice (this is the third time) with NOTHING and come out a different person - with a job, money and a vehicle. They give you freedom and treat these guys like the men they are-not the children that so many rehabilitation programs do. If they weren’t helping my son learn how to survive in real life and time - he would not be there again. Im pulling for you Michael and so is Chance! You are going to get it this time!

I cannot say enough great things about this program. It is life changing for kids and parents. When I discovered this on an internet search among a sea of other places that did not have the focus on young adults like this website, I strongly felt lead here by God. I’m grateful daily for the help it has given my family. The statement, it takes a village to raise kids has never been more appropriately said for the Insight program. The staff are caring, dedicated, and funny. They make finding your path fun and supportive without the Kids even realizing at first what a transformative environment they have been welcomed into. This place becomes family and the Kids support their peers while all get guidance no matter the hour from the counselors. They are dedicated and truly care what happens to you. 🥰

Insight is amazing, it has been a blessing to my daughter and to me. So thankful to God that He brought us here. The counselors are great and they really love and care about the kids here. My daughter is getting the help she needs and I am so happy because I got my daughter back.

I highly recommend Insight. The staff is professional and compassionate, providing exceptional care that led to miraculous results for our son. Their parent support group is also extremely beneficial, offering invaluable guidance and support to help us navigate this chaotic situation. Insight truly has made a life-changing impact.

Newport is a good place to Detox at. They accept most insurance and can set you up with a bed over the phone. They support MAT but I brought my own supply so I can’t speak on theirs. They gave me a 5 day benzodiazepine taper and vitamins/supplements, along with my normal meds. The intake process was simple, you get shook down a bit upon entering the clinical area, they look through your things and your person. They do a urine test, TB stick, and take blood on day 2. I would suggest bringing a weeks worth of clothing, warm stuff, pajamas, house shoes, shower shoes are a must, reading material, writing material, recovery books, you will need an extra pillow or 2, bring your own blanket and basic toiletries-they can supply hygiene items if necessary, cigarettes / tobacco, you can’t bring vapes, no phones. The bathroom was a lil nasty but the showers were clean and functional as well as private. The place is a bit dingy and old feeling overall and could use paint and decor. The bedrooms have a window and 2-3 twin beds with divider curtains between each, and 2 nightstands/shelves. You get fresh clean pillow cases, blankets, sheets, towels, washcloth. The beds aren’t great but they’re not the worst I’ve seen. You can come and go from your room to the Dayroom or nurses station as you please. There is a landline phone available during certain hours. I was there with 5-6 other folks. I had a relapse on stimulants and was admitted a few days after calling. Nurse Ginny spoke to me on the phone and she was very kind and experienced. The nurses were great, Rose was the best. The daytime started with a meal from Piccadilly, these to go plates were so-so. Some were better than others. But the portions were big. You also get a snack every night at night med call. We would then do groups, they had a good variety. Some were videos some were activity based some writing based, etc. The counselors were all nice people and qualified. The aftercare coordinator Joy that worked with me was super friendly and helpful. They can also set you up with part time classes to attend on site after you graduate detox, or send you to an inpatient residential treatment center, then halfway house. They’ll take you all the way if you put in the work, they have the connections and knowledge to help people in tons of ways. Take advantage of people like this, they live to help others. They could use a new DVD player and some DVDs and Blu rays for sure, and art supplies. Overall it’s a good place to get clean. The intake process was smooth and the place itself was solid, programs and everything. Food, beds, and the paint/decor, as well as the men’s bathroom are my only complaints. I had a room to myself the whole time I was there, and got a lot of writing and some reading done. Played some cards and watched some movies. My time there really helped me a lot in my recovery journey. I use Smart Recovery and have gotten deep into the program since leaving detox. They offer AA, NA, and other support groups as well. If you are battling addicting and need help, reach out, this is a good jumping off point. It’s all up to you.

My experience with Newport behavioral was the best choice I made ever they saved me i was diagnosed highly depression with schizophrenia I really loved going there Dr M takes care of you keep up the good work

Dr. Moseri is very knowledgeable and beyond qualified for what he is doing. My experience with him is not just for mental adjustment. He has shown to be knowledgeable as a physician as well. I thank the Most High for him. Since seeing him I have learned to manage my emotional feelings, and I am more aware of my physical health which had a great impact on my cognitive mindset. The negative comments that are on here are mind-blowing. But keep in mind, majority of the patients and or guardians of patients seeking help are in a negative space in life anyway. Trying to use negativity to charge your positive seems not to work. When you seek help, submit to what's being put before you and Yah will do the rest to help bring you out. I pray healing and well-being for us all.

Dr. Minehart has been so helpful guiding me through co-parenting challenges. I don't think counselors get enough credit for what they do for families

I got the opportunity to participate in JCAC's Summer Counseling Foundations Program and every person I met was so kind and welcoming. The therapists did an amazing job of making everyone feel comfortable and I learned SO much more about tools and techniques used in therapy. I would highly recommend this program to any student that is considering going into counseling, as it is an amazing opportunity to learn more about the field while being surrounded by knowledgable people that truly care.

I cannot express how grateful I am for the support and care I received from Mikayla Minehart. When I started therapy, I was really struggling with postpartum anxiety and depression. I felt overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure of how to navigate this new chapter of motherhood. From the very first session, Mikayla made me feel seen, heard, and truly understood. I cannot say enough good things.
