I started going to Centerstone for alcohol addiction. I've received SO much support them!! A lot more than going to meetings. Everyone is so friendly and caring. Chris J is my counselor and he is great as well as Kaitlin who runs the Friday Harm Reduction group. I would highly recommend Centerstone to anyone facing challenges with addiction.

I have been with centerstone for about 2 yrs now and they have been an amazing help and support system. I have done mental health counseling drug counseling and have taken two separate parenting classes. All of which have been immensely helpful to me and my wife. I just feel as tho Lakya Hill is in her calling. I don't think she would fit being anything else other than a therapist. I feel so much better after speaking with her. She always hold me accountable and also give me a safe space to take accountability without judgment; only correction. I really have found the perfect person to help me fix me. I have went here before and they work hard to help the amount of people that come to get help. Every person that works there that I have talked to has always been willing to assist you and if they couldn’t help with what you needed they would always direct you to someone that could. Great place to get help with opioid addiction Mrs. Bell the director is amazing person who truly cares about her patience. The nurses are amazing and listen and the counselors truly care all of them.( It's been three years since I left my first review of MedMark and I still feel it is an accurate review I would like to point out that there's rules that you have to follow when you're in treatment and a lot of people don't follow those rules and when they're held accountable they leave bad reviews. The rules are there to help you not only gets sober but stay sober and I can wholeheartedly say that the director Miss Bell and her staff truly care about each and every patient at that clinic. ..)

Amazing! There is help and CRC is a part of it. I ain't going to sugar coat it. Nothing is for everyone. There was a lot of down time for me I struggled to fill. It could be different, but more importantly I should have done more. They showed me the beginning of recovery and I am very grateful for that. To those leaving "reviews" saying they are upset because they can't get any information about their loved one:
1 - This is a Forensic Mental Health Hospital, not a hotel, prison, or public rehabilitation facility. Most patients are here because a judge has sent them here, not because their family checked them in or they walked in off the street. Unless you are a Dr or a Dr's office with a pre-approved contact, or are named on the patients contact list, you aren't going to get any "medical records" or even confirmation of their presence on the grounds.
That's the state law, not our policy.
HIPAA laws dictate that unless you are an approved contact we can't even confirm that a patient was or wasn't there, let alone give out medical information. We could literally be charged with a crime if we did.
I understand that you are concerned for your loved one and just want to know how they are doing, but that doesn't change the law. Our staff handling the phones get dozens of calls requesting information on a daily basis, most of which must be turned away in a similar fashion. That doesn't excuse rudeness, but be aware that it has nothing to do with you specifically unless you continue to call hoping for a different answer.
2 - Rating a business one star because you are a bad driver is pretty weak. Don't ride people's tail... Sounds like you got less than you deserved.

I am a recovering IV heroin addict, I have struggled with maintaining sobriety and managing bipolar and anxiety. I have been going here for a few years now and I have been able to stay clean with MAT and consistently manage my mental health. I have seen a few different providers in my time there but they have all been amazing! I feel heard and safe and every there has your best interest in mind. I look forward to my appointment every month. Everyone from the receptionists to the pharmacy and providers are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Gateway showed me the way to save my life! I'm going to talk about the app. I love it. I have had struggles with having a daily routine my whole life. This app is something I use daily. There have been days when I was struggling that I would just scroll through people's posts and comment on all of them. It would help me get out of my head . I checked myself into gateway back in July 2023 I'm now almost at my 2 years sobriety. I also started my bachelors in psychology because I now know what I want to do with my life and my future. I love this place, because it helps me love myself. get to know myself. it's really a growing spot people can really grow here( spiritually , mentally and physically) when you're on drugs you know you stuck! now you lie to yourself and you don't even know it. you know they help me recognize my lies in me. the way you think backwards sometimes you know; I used to think they were good and I like them in the matter is that are not good for me and they never had been. it' s taken relationship my friends my kids . They teach me how to gain my dignity back my respect for me and others. how I can be balanced I'm learning not to drink from my lower self but my higher self as like what would your God. It's about being a better person that I was contagious for and keep that going and growing.

This location has come along way compared to the way it was before. I’ve been coming here since 2022 and have had better progress and experience than I’ve had with any other facility in my part of Illinois/St. Louis. Although the psychiatric program is horrible and the therapy program would be excellent if you weren’t spending more time getting to know a new therapist every 6 months instead of working on your issues. (so when another job position opens up and pays more these therapist up and leave). For the most part I don’t have anything bad to say about this place my doctor is Kevin Garner and he’s the best primary care Provider that I’ve ever had. He cares and if he can help me with anything he does are points me into the direction I’m supposed to go. I recommend this place for anything from drug addiction to the flu are just getting your meds filled. Just go find a therapist or a psychiatrist somewhere else!!!

My husband was hospitalized with a UTI after a very compassionate yet professional female ER doctor explained the reasons staying would be beneficial. He spent 6days on 5N and EVERY nurse who cared for him did so as if he were a family member. The doctors who treated Tom communicated with me both in person and by telephone.

My first time visiting JC VA medical facility was truthfully the highlight of my day. Valet members were so helpful and were insistent on putting a smile on my face before even entering the building. I needed water and the woman running the cafe at the front of the main building gave me ice cold water free of charge. I was reading signs trying to figure out where to go on the first and second floor, and each time, a VA team member stopped to help direct me. I had multiple appointments here that day and every provider was so attentive to my questions and helpful with directing me where to go next or what to expect. I look forward to whenever I have to come back and couldn't express the gratitude I felt for the staff at this hospital during my visit!!

Just like any place you go, you get what you put in. If your not willing to get better and actually want to, no program is going to work. Rick is a lovely person and I have always had good councilors. The nurses are friendly and helpful. Treatment can save your life. 👍

MY wife is a patient here and she's absolutely loves the counselors and staff! She also used this facility for her in patient rehabilitation and thankfully and graciously by the grace of God she is still sober to this day! She recommends fully anytime she can or someone is questioning about where they can find help in or around Springfield Illinois.

I am updating my review because it is no longer relevant. I am very sad to hear that the director John is retiring; he is a wonderful, caring person.
Some tips: they only check bills with a marker that only detects the presence of starch. This only works to ID fake bills that have been printed off of somebody's HP or Lexmark onto cheap printer paper. even accidentally washing your pants with a 20 in the pocket will be enough to "set off" their pens. Bills made priot to 1973 also automatically fail. Because counterfeiters often use bleached, real $1 bills, not only are they vulnerable to larceny, but false positives left me and others feeling judged and unable to dose. I acquired easy to read posters and literature from the St Louis Department of Revenue for local businesses to detect counterfeit currency and distributed them to every window. They did not use them or even try the many ways the US Treasury advises to detect fake currency (microprinting, watermark, texture of raised ink, security thread, color-shifting print, etc.) Implying I have a 65 ton printing press in my basement but used a $1.99 ream from Kinko's.
Speaking of money, they do not take change (coins)and nor do neighboring businesses. They also may not reinmburse you if you don't have the correct bills for exact change.
Counselors are a hit and miss. I have encountered 12 steppers who are proud to treat a disease the same exact way for a near century and are quick to blame you if AA doesn't help, never the program. Even if you have been repeatedly victimized by 13th steppers. Imagine if an antibiotic failed to cure your infection. Would your doctor say you have moral failings and give you more of the same antibiotic? No. Some counselors here do know about smart recovery and other, actually helpful, programs. Do not be afraid to find someone who works.
