I had tried to get sober before and had just got out of prison. I promised myself I was going to stay clean and live a good life. Within 6 months of leaving prison the thoughts of using were strong. I started drinking and looking for ways to get drugs. I knew I needed help or I was going to go down the same path I promised never to go down again. When I called the Bridge there was not any beds available at the time, I told them my situation and told them I really needed to get help or I am not sure I would be brave enough to make this phone call again. They allowed me to sleep in a counseling room temporarily until a bed opened. It is not easy living with a bunch of women and being told what to do, but if you are looking for people who really care and what you to succeed then the Bridge is an excelent choice. For any body who gives the Bridge a bad review.....I am not sure what you did, but you were probably in the wrong trying to get away with something you shouldn't have been.

I feel like i should definitely write a post, I hope more alumni will do the same. For me the experience i had at the bridge was amazing. It's not easy living with that many women! However when it comes to the staff i believe they really do care about the people that come in. I read some of the other reviews and was shocked to see that they had that kind of experience. I don't know their situation so i won't comment on that.When I went to the bridge i was ready to change and although i might have had a few setbacks i really felt supported and cared about while i was there. It's not going to be easy it's a treatment facility there's going to be some bumps in the road.

I like Dr. Crane. Then I told the receptionist I got a job and price for 15 minute zoom video visit skyrocketed to 370 dollars. Am I paying for everybody else too? So going back to my DR. Then I called and asked to cancel appt on 19th. Nurse (she's Anonymous, no name badge, prob also office manager) leaves voicemail saying I went ahead and kept appt on 19th. Also she just says this is the "Nurse" again never saying her name. Now I have to walk over there and get an email saying I do not have any upcoming appointments to avoid almost 800 dollars going on my credit report. I will not be paying them a dime. Go here if you have to only on a temporary basis. Update: got a letter in the mail over 470 dollars of my KS tax refund will be held hostage and used to pay off my balance at compass.

I was a client from 2007 to 2019. In the 11 1/2 years I went to them, I reaped insight, but not help for my issues. The insight I gained relates to the way they treat people via control and techniques that are detrimental to the client. I watched my friends enter this facility and continue to cycle downward, not up. I also continued to sink. As a result, I attempted to end my life multiple times as a means of escape. Leaving that place was the healthiest thing I could have done. I'm three years recovered and no longer need meds or services as a result of walking away. And my friends who stayed? Some have passed or are nowhere near where they should be in recovery.
Don't trust these people. The compassion is not genuine and they care more about money than the clients.

I have nothing but positive thoughts and love for Step Seven. I have been apart of the community for 15 months now and I can honestly say God and Step Seven saved my life. I was in a bad place and bad shape and didn’t think help existed. I gave the director a call when I got out of prison and was in a home that night. Over the 15 months I have watched my life transform. I have restored relationships, I have built a true foundation, I have real brothers who have my back, I am a brand new man. It’s not only me that this change has happened too. I’ve seen handfuls of men change their lives for the best here and I can say firsthand God loves Step Seven cause the stories I’ve witnessed of where people were to where they are now is nothing short of amazing. I can't really write AA with less than five stars just because this helped so many people I don't care much for AA and I definitely don't care much for the meetings that I do like the 5:15 meeting very small very private and people know you and they're kind to you other than that I didn't care for any of the other meetings didn't care for the women's meeting on Monday nights didn't care for the noon meeting some people like it not me I think I'm going to go to a different meeting at a different town.

I think the service and staff is top notch. I have built a great relationship with my counselor and the staff, who has the experience and knowledge to assist me with the issues I need assistance with. My insurance has changed, they will work with you as long as you show you are making progress on your account. I was given the opportunity to switch to another provider due to insurance, but the trust and relationship is worth the price than starting with another provider. If you are honest with your self and open to the ideas and tools being offered, I am sure you will get the help and assistance you need with Compass.
