I believe that this place offers a great service to the Louisville Community. They have been opening their doors to people with substance abuse problems, the homeless, and armed forces veterans for decades now. And I think it's great that they were able to open their new and bigger facility recently. That just means they are able to help more people.
Keep up the good work THP, And God Bless...

The healing place is a wonderful center for recovery serving men of every walk of life during and after recovery and / or displacement. They offer a myriad of program to assist those in need as well as access to many other program outside of their own that they are partnered with. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily, lunch being open to the public, while the others are for residential clientele. Nightly shelter available upon request, as well as long term residential services to those who qualify. The facility also offers a program for specifically for military veterans on the second floor that works in conjunction with the VA to help veterans in need gain access to the benefits they require. I personally appreciate the VA program at the healing place immensely, and have been fortunate enough to have received their assistance in the past. One day at a time…

Attending Sunrise Recovery Treatment Center has truly changed my life, and I can’t thank them enough. After 25 years of substance abuse, this is the place that gave me the tools and support I needed to get into recovery. The staff are the most caring and compassionate people I have ever met, and what sets Sunrise apart is that most of them have personally walked the path of addiction—be it alcohol, gambling, or substance abuse. Their lived experience brings a level of understanding and empathy that makes you feel genuinely seen and supported.
Sunrise offers three types of treatment programs to fit anyone’s schedule, including separate inpatient men's and women's facilities, Intensive Outpatient, and Partial Hospitalization. No matter your commitment level or personal needs, they have a program that works for you.
Graduating from Sunrise is just the beginning—what truly stands out is the incredible aftercare available through their Alumni program. It’s like gaining a whole new family of sober friends who support and inspire each other every step of the way. The alumni regularly enjoy get-togethers like kickball and dodgeball tournaments against other local groups, bowling nights, and monthly alumni panels where we share our experiences to encourage those still struggling. I never thought I’d find so much joy and meaningful connection in my recovery, but the Sunrise alumni group has made that possible.
Because of Sunrise, I’ve become the best version of myself. At 47, I went back to college and I’m now carrying a 4.0 GPA in Human Services Addiction Studies. This program gave my life new meaning and helped me discover a positive path forward, no matter my past. If you’re looking for a real chance at recovery, I can honestly say this program works—and it continues to work for me every day. Give yourself the opportunity to succeed. If I can do it, you can too!

I have no addiction to anything. I struggle mentally. I went to north key off and on from 2007 to 1014. And now that I am struggling again I am going back. In my case as I am sure is the same with a few others, I wasn't giving it a chance. I fought back on everything from what was being said to my appointment times. I didn't realize I was working against them and myself. I would give up stop going for awhile. But I needed help so I went back every time. I had everything from a social worker, therapist, employment, housing. I went through it all. And when I gave it a chance it all worked. It was hard and there was set backs. But with their help I was able to overcome my issues. I have social anxiety, agoraphobia along with what comes with most mental issues. Depression and so on. There is a time I could not leave my house for months at a time. They stayed right there next to me. Called me out when I started sliding and gently helps me stand. There was a few minutes, and a few people that disrespectful. You have that everywhere you go. It took me changing therapist aver 4 times. But I didn't give up thanks to them not giving up on me. I have a good job and a nice home. I have a car and enjoy spending time outdoors with my friends and family. None of that would have happened without north key.

Coming from a background of a life mired by addiction and trauma I have had more experience with counselors than I care to admit on here haha but very few have went the extra mile that Mandy, one of GWRL’s therapists has. I truly have nothing but good things to say about all the staff all around, but for her you can see that this is more than a job. She’s one of the lucky few that has turned a passion- in her case a passion and commitment of being of service to others-into a vocation and it’s my opinion that GWRL is beyond blessed to have someone who can bring that kind of energy and skill set to the table.

Crestview Hills, Kentucky | Located in Crestview Hills, Kentucky, is the Behavioral Health at St. Elizabeth Physicians Clinic, which operates under the St. Elizabeth Physicians network. This facility provides comprehensive care to adolescents and adults who need medical, mental health, or behavioral health services. If you’re struggling with drug, alcohol, or substance | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I am the legal custodial parent of a child who was placed at Maryhurst Rose Cottage for residential mental health treatment. My experience with this facility has been extremely concerning.
Promised weekly updates and end-of-week calls regarding my child’s treatment were rarely provided, and when they were, the information was inaccurate.
My daughter’s medications were changed inconsistently, including abrupt discontinuation of Depakote without my consent, which caused significant emotional distress and aggression.
Both my daughter and I repeatedly requested that she be seen by a doctor, but these requests were ignored for over a week.
Despite ongoing instability and safety concerns, the facility informed me they intended to discharge my daughter, which appears retaliatory.
My daughter was taken off campus for an optometry appointment without my consent while being denied access to proper medical care during a crisis.
This facility failed to provide safe, consistent, and transparent care, and I strongly caution other parents to carefully evaluate their practices before placing a child here.

Wow just from reading the posts these people are exactly what I thought they were. I requested services for my daughter through the school. They Convinced my daughter to lie on a family member. Then when she admitted to lying I immediately opted out of services because they are against the parents so they can get people's children taken away from them. I started out liking it here and I especially liked the online Doctor who gives meds Dr.Tucker is amazing (he helped me more than the therapist) but around 6 months in my therapist got a promotion and the therapist she switched to didn’t want to schedule an appointments with me. When I finally got in I wasn’t told I had a new therapist. So I was very nervous for a bit. She didn’t like to talk about why I was there just about how my family and social life was. If I brought up my worries about driving or my fear of rejection she said “thats normal” and changed the subject. This is where it gets fun. My sister started counseling at this office too. They ask if you have a specific needs and her only request is that she have a different therapist than me. They gave her my therapist who after only 45 minutes tried to undermine a life time diagnosis that took 3 days of testing for. My sister asked to see a different therapist and has never been given any information on that. This therapist also tried to say that my ADHD diagnosis (that I have had since 7 years old) wasn’t actually ADHD but bipolar disorder. I had to get it re diagnosed for school recently (and that took 2 days of testing) and they doctor told me that I had SOME warning signs but not to worry as it could just be my brain coping with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and a bunch of other things. If we were really concerned to bring me back in at 20 years old to be retested. This was also my first appointment where I didn’t have an adult in my life with me in the room or the waiting room so I kinda felt like she was taking advantage of that. I then shut down and log out of my brain. I don’t remember much about what we talked about after except that I left crying.
