The therapists are probably the best part about the place, but all of the staff genuinely want to help you. It's in a very secluded place so it's nearly impossible to leave to use. Unlike most other places it's a big mansion with half the people upstairs and half downstairs. I stayed upstairs and the A/C was almost too good in the summer. It probably stayed 62 degrees up there. Would definitely recommend this if you are serious about getting sober. Lpd 1 month ago Literally the best rehab center I’ve ever attended. Had intensive group therapy multiple times a day, and it help me with all my issues. They had a full blown gym, and I made actual brothers there. I would recommend this facility to ANYONE. The therapists are also something to not overlook, they go WAY above and beyond to educate what's really going on with our minds and body. I've been through 4 recovery centers, two in Kentucky one in California and then this one. This is the only one I can truly say that they take this lifestyle seriously and the presence of a higher power flows through every body in the house. I wouldn't recommend any other place. They helped me with my family too. They explained addiction in a way that my mother could understand and comprehend. They offered her resources for support. I learned a lot while I was there. Almost every staff member there was in recovery themselves so it gave me hope that I could one day work in treatment helping others. I made it. I get to help others with their recovery journey now! I celebrate 5 years of sobriety this year. I didn't stay clean after I left Journeypure. I made the drive from Asheville, and although I was still hesitant, from the moment Shawn greeted me in the parking lot and checked me in, I knew I had picked the right place. There are no words for how well I was treated and how many tools that I left with to start rebuilding my life. Every staff member made me comfortable and treated me like family. The classes were so, so far from the lengthy, boring lectures that I had expected. I gained so much from each and every group leader and the group discussions with other clients, many of which turned into real friends . I originally had signed up for a detox, but quickly realized that I needed and WANTED to stay for the 21 day program, and am ever grateful that I did. Amazing and abundant food was an unexpected bonus as well. If you juggling locations to decide on for your recovery adventure, I cannot stress enough how good this one is. The girl who did my intake paperwork was an angel. Her name was Jennifer. She explained everything so that it was easy to understand and made me feel so peaceful. Walking through the door to get help was so hard, but she made it easy. She reminded me that no matter where I am in life that I am still wanted and loved . Sobriety isn’t easy, but she is 100 percent the reason I am alive. Sometimes all you need is one person to remind you how loved and wanted you are and she is as that person for me. The staff and interns at all of the ARC (Addiction Recovery Care) facilities are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. They really do care and it shows. If you are struggling with addiction and have been to other rehabs where God was only mentioned in step 3, then I urge you to give it a chance. God really lives in that house and through the people there. Patience, open-mindedness and acceptance are just two of their MANY loving traits. I was in Elizabeth's room across the hall from Mary's room and beside Hannah's room which is adjacent to Sarah's room. I can’t say enough good things about this place so I’m just gonna say I’m so greatful for everything they have done for my daughter. I couldn’t pay for almost 60 days. They helped me get insurance for 8$ a month that pays for my medicine and better yet allows me to get medical treatment like I would on tenncare. Seeing the friendly security guy (my personal favorite) to seeing the beautiful women at front, sorry forgot their names but those women especially the light skin one is so SWEET. My care broke down and one of the workers offered to jump my car. They have been so good to me. Their job is hard. I came in the first day angry and agitated and wanted a fix. They worked with me. Put me in top of the queue and gave me water to calm me down. The woman usually in room 1 with the glasses and brown hair I feel like is my FRIEND.
