After receiving 30 days of inpatient treatment for alcohol, I continued my care at Lake Wellness. Bruce Steinberg has been an incredible asset in my recovery; I cannot say enough good things about him. He created a safe and non-judgmental space for his clients, and each day of the week had a specific agenda, which kept the meetings fresh and interesting. I thoroughly appreciated the activities and concepts that we explored. His group was open-minded and empathetic and was a place for growth, healing, and connection for me. I made friends I will have for life in this program and will forever be grateful for the care and support I received at Lake Wellness.

The facilit | Treatments Programs Payment Options | We all hate having to be in a hospital, but I have to tell you that my experience at Lakeview Hospital in Covington went very well. After having a procedure done on March 25th 2025, I had to stay in the hospital for 4 days and 3 nights, and I know that sounds like a vacation stay, well it really was. Again, we all don't want to be in a hospital, but if you have to stay, stay at Lakeview. The entire time I was there the staff was very nice, and very attentive to my needs, and went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I did lots of walking in the halls over those 4 days, and everyone of the staff I encountered was very nice, and pleasant to talk too. I have been telling everyone I know about my experience at Lakeview Hospital. So thank you to all the staff on the 5th floor where I stayed. Now, let's talk about the meals. Hospital food doesn't sound good ever, but every meal I had was excellent. I admit that I'm kind of judgmental when it comes to food, but every mean I had was delicious. Overall my stay was made comfortable by the courteous staff, and my meals made the stay much easier. I would have to rate the overall experience as a 10 out of 10, but for Google I can only do a 5 out of 5. Ha! Ha! Thanks again to the staff at Lakeview Hospital for making my stay a great experience.

I took my boyfriend to this ER in a very unusual situation. The staff where VERY professional and supportive in our medical issue to both parties and ran tests to check ALL the boxes of care.I have been to a hospital here myself for a heart issue and got almost no care what so ever so I normally don't write reviews but I would like to personally thank the 3 am shift last night for just going above and beyond even with a difficult patient. Hopefully I personally won't have to see them in the near future but I was super impressed with their caring attitudes and professional acts to make sure he was actually safe.Thank you everyone from front desk,to nurses,to mri,dr and even admission/ insurance info collection. You guys have something to be proud of not too many hospitals really care these days and I just wanted to say I truly appreciate you!

Lakeview Regional Behavioral Health is a drug and alcohol rehab and medical facility located in Covington, LA. They provide inpatient addiction treatment | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I write this review after having a horrific experience at Oceans s Behavioral Health in Hammond in July of 2023. (I encourage you to read my review for them before allowing your dementia family member go there!)When my dad was sent again to geriatric psych at Lakeview, I was scared we were about to experience the same thing again, especially after seeing the reviews on here! However, our experience at Lakeview was completely different. My dad spent 4 weeks at Lakeview over the Christmas holidays and beyond. I was able to visit him between 3:30 and 4:30 everyday. The facility was very clean and simply resembled a hospital setting. I was escorted to his room each day but was able to puts eyes on other patients, the group room, the nursing station, etc. while there. The doors to patient rooms were open and I never saw anything disturbing or anyone tied to a bed as one lady who left a review wondered about. I never heard any shouting or yelling by staff or patients. It simply just reminded me of a normal hospital setting.I visited my dad almost every single day during his four weeks there. In those visits, I often checked my dad s body for marks and gauged how he felt about the staff that often dropped in to say hello when I was there. My dad seemed clean, generally content, awake and aware, chatty and friendly with the staff. Everyone who interacted with he and I were very kind.Kianti (Tay) who escorted me daily was the sweetest gentleman and my dad really enjoyed him.Overall, I was pleased with the care he received. As a caregiver to a Dementia patient with behavioral issues it s tough to be their advocate and protect them. I would allow my dad to go back to Lakeview if the need arises. I hope this review helps someone else.

| Beacon Behavioral Hospital, in Lacombe, Louisiana, provides comprehensive mental healthcare services for adults, including specialized programming for clients with co-occurring addiction and mental illness. They offer inpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), standard outpatient (OP), and aftercare programming, including dedicated services for seniors | Treatments Programs Payment Options | It took a while for me to decide to post a remark, but I felt that I had to say something. I was a patient there last June because of something stupid I did because of the pain I was in because of my back. At first I was very upset and unruly. But after being there for a couple of days I did notice a couple of things that are definitely NOT the faculty's fault. The doctors, nurses & medtechs did the best they could with what they had. These people come in to help, because they care. But the one thing I did notice was that the staff was over-worked, under-staffed, under-appreciated & I don't know, but probably underpaid. They relied on donations, when it came down to certain clothes, shoes & I remember how short they were on pillows. After being discharged, my husband & I donated some items for them to use. The thing that gets me angry is after reading some of these reviews, it has become apparent to me how important that the Gov. steps in and do something about the lack of care there is for mental health. I read in a comment that their loved one was dumped like trash and she had dementia. While there myself and one other person tried to help the medtechs, when they needed some. These people are human beings, NOT TRASH and shouldn't be treated like it, due to the facility being so short staffed. You know, it's a shame we don't learn from the Asians on how they care for their loved ones. But like I said my personal experience taught me a lot about facing my inner demons, while trying to help the medtechs. Here's a thought!!! Maybe if you treated your staff the way that they should be treated, then you would not have so many unhappy family members of the patients.

Our developmentally disabled client was admitted last week. I can’t say enough about how awesome this facility has been. At most past facilities our other clients were in we had such a hard time advocating for them. Beacon has been easy to communicate w all the treatment team. I'm so glad I found this place. I was addicted to opioid pain medicine really bad. I wouldn't even get out of the bed if I didn't have at least 2 pills to take. I spent a ton of money, buying pills from anybody and everybody. Then my grandson was born. It is true that babies will change your life. And he did. The 1st time we looked at each other, he was probably 3 days old, but we looked into each other's eyes, and I knew at that moment that I would be raising my 2nd grandson. The only thing I could do was get clean. I absolutely had to get clean. I started making phone calls, and talking to people and all that led me to the methadone clinic on Pride Ave. out by the airport. My 1st day was July 1st, 2013. My grandson was born March 27th 2013. It took me 4 months to find the best drug addiction center that I knew would work for me.
I got custody of my grandson when he was a little over 2 years old. But he had been with me almost all the time since he was born. Cash just made 11 years old and he still lives with me and I'm still attending the methadone clinic, it's called BAART Program.
I'm kinda scared to stop taking the methadone because I suffer from depression, anxiety, Rheumatoid Arthritis and a few other things, and I know myself well enough to know that if I stop taking the methadone, I will find something else to take. So, I'm gonna stick with the program because it has worked so well for me.
I honestly believe that anybody with an addiction to opioids should try this clinic. The doctor and the counselor's there are fantastic. No body judges you, and if you don't feel like talking a lot, you don't have to. But when you get ready to talk about your problems and what led you to get addicted to opioids, they will listen without interrupting and they will listen to you, and they will help you. I know this, because I've been there for real. You will love yourself and everyone else when you get clean, I promise you that. You will feel so much better about yourself and your life. You will have a desire to do something good with your life.
It's just great to be free from addiction.

There isn't enough space to say how I feel about Lake Wellness. I woke up on 9/10/23 and decided to reach out to them via online. I filled out a form and was called within minutes offering help. I honestly could not do it by myself. The staff there is exceptional. The counselors there were exceptional. And the doctor very caring. Everytime I went in I felt like I was walking into home and knew I was safe. Thank you so much Lake Wellness, yall saved my life!!!!!

NOLA Detox saved my life. Treatment there has given me hope and the tools I need to beat my addiction. Their team of mental and behavioral health professionals helped me every step of the way.Throughout my 28 day stay the clinical team put together a comprehensive care plan. That included medication assisted treatment, group, individual, & family therapy, one on one psychiatrist visits, and recovery groups. Additionally I took part in the professional training group sessions and nutrition & wellness discussions that were offered.I enjoyed the Queen sized bed and the large plasma screen Roku TV in my Patient Suite. My two roommates and I enjoyed binge watching on Netflix.Copeland's provided the many delicious options at mealtimes. My clothes were even sent out to a professional laundry service.A nature trail and lush grounds were well maintained and ideal for jogging, walking, and meditation. My stay wouldn't have been what it was if it wasn't for the kind and empathetic staff that went above and beyond. A team of caring nurses and techs encouraged me on my recovery journey. I would not have been able to do have done this without them.My recovery journey is ongoing. NOLA Detox is still by my side. After my graduation from the program I have entered the Intensive Outpatient Program. With the help of NOLA Detox I'm moving forward and stepping out of the dark shadow of substance abuse.
